The rooms were nice, with a nice view, spacious bathroom etc However the hotel amenities are far away from the actual place where you sleep it is another building so you have to go there to check in and out and for the breakfast. Honestly the breakfast choice was very poor from a westerner point of view ! Very disappointing.... More

This very tastefully decorated hotel is well located (5 mins walk/ 2 mins by shuttle bus to the hot springs) and has extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and have comfortable beds. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had an amazing time at this beautiful hotel, by far the best we stayed at in Huangshan.

We stayed at a different hotel further up the mountain and took a nice trip down to this resort to relax and soak in the hot springs after a long day of hiking! The hot springs themselves were very nice and not too crowded. The beaded bath was pretty interesting. The interior and exterior for the hot springs were nice... More

Do NOT book at "Best Western" Huangshan Resort and Spa! The best western closed down and just relocated us without any notification in another hotel further away from the hot spring (so far away you actually need a shuttle bus to get there)... The hotel is also away from the shuttle to the gondola, so much of the advantages of... More

Outside of the big cities in China, all hotels are not what many would expect from western chains - but this was better than most I've experienced. Obviously rooms have been renovated since ours had wooden floors, 2 comfy double beds and a pleasant bathroom. The check in team had an acceptable level of English. The Chinese restaurant was very... This hotel is located part way up the mountain and I came here during a weekend to hike Huang Shan. On the plus side, it was close to the bus drop off and located next to and above a pretty mountain stream with waterfalls. It was reasonably priced as well. The hotel was somewhat dated on the exterior, the interior,... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night after 2 days of hiking Huangshan trails. From Mercy Light Pavilion cable car station, you can either take the park bus down and get off at the Hot Springs junction stop or take a walking path down the bamboo forested hillside. Here's the tricky part - the hotel has... More

Convenient location to start exploring Yellow Mountain. It's 10 minutes from the hotel to the cable cart, so it is easy to beat the crowds to it. The rooms are nice and clean. the Western restaurant is quite poor, and we needed to wait an hour for dinner. So avoid that one. It was very cold in the hotel, so... More

Room carpet is dirty, mold on the wall, really not the standard you expect from a Best Western Hotel... And its not even cheap. Maybe there is better rooms in the main building but our bedroom was in an extension and really not nice.

Huangshan is a wonderfully spectacular mountain which can get very crowded, but if you are out early in mid week October and do differently conceived routes to the tourist parties, it can be OK. Don't go in Golden Weeks (standard holiday weeks)! The reason I am writing this in a hotel review is that, you may want to consider staying... More
