We never met the son, however the mother was really lovely. Always smiling and always accommodating. The room as well as the shower is tiny but good enough for a one night stay. The bed is rather comfy which is rare in that part of the world. Would stay there again anytime!

We stayed in a double room with bathroom. The bed was good, we had an electric blanket and the shower was hot with good pressure. We received traditional mountain tea on arrival and were given a thermos of hot water at night. The mother-son owners were always around and the mother was VERY warm. She doesn't speak English but always...

Stayed for 3 nights in a double room. The rooms are basic & on the small side, the shower is tiny. There's a useful electric blanket but the room itself (& the common erea) are quite cold. Pros.: 1. The lady owner is super sweet & welcoming (even though the communication is limited since she doesn't speak English) 2. The...

I stayed three nights in October and will definitely stay here again if I go back to Songpan. The owner family is very nice and welcoming, and offers you hot tea upon arrival and a big thermo with hot water every day (which didn't happen anywhere else during my two-week trip in Sichuan). The son, Daniel, speaks good English and...

We stayed 2 nights at Guyun (aka Old House Hotel) to horse trek and sightsee the village. The owners (an english speaking couple) made the horse reservation for us and gave us some tips about the region. We've had very nice western breakfasts. The double room is fine with water heater and bed heaters that saved our lives (Songpan is...

This hotel is hardly to get connected. The best way is phone call as they never responses to your mail. Daniel, the son, is helpful when we ask for his help to buy the bus ticket to Chengdu in advance. The premise is decorated in wooden Chinese old style. Weather at the end of October was at 0 celcius at...

We had a ensuite room for four people. Very clean and spacious. Very good beds! Small bathroom with boiler (always hot water). Shower, toilet and sink in the same space (as normal in these part of China). Away from the main road so it is a bit more quite. We had a good breakfast for only 30 yuan (as much...

this is the first place you'll see when you get off the bus, which is convenient. otherwise, there are better locations in the town proper which is only a five minute walk away. still, this place is cute -- old style wooden building, an old-ish home with nice little extras like toothbrushes/paste and little bars of soap. my room's windows...

We arrived Songpan and looked at about three other places This was the best place we found in a fair price Very good Wi-Fi, a step from the Bus Station, it is important since the buses to Chengdu for example are leaving very early ~6:30 so it was very convenient The place itself is very nice and the room colorfull
