We stayed two nights in a double room that was nice, clean and cozy. The location of the hostel is good, just outside of the old city walls. The staff were nice, but didn't know much English. More problematic than that - was the fact that they had poor information or even false one. Actually, we ended up spending time...

We spent over a week during the Chinese national holiday. We stayed in a standard double - the room was clean and modern and housekeeping staff cleaned it each day providing new towels etc. The hostel was fairly busy while we stayed however there was little in the way of atmosphere and the common areas weren't often used. The Internet...

The hostel was much to noisy at night. We had a room that was totaly not as on the pics of the bookingsites. Everything was old/broken and we had to sleep on a matras on the ground. A no-go for us. To bad... The review gave a beter look.

We stayed for 2 weeks and absolutely loved every day at Five Elements in Dali. It is a quiet hostel with an eclectic common area (with billiards, a bar, etc.), a quaint garden courtyard, and an upstairs yoga room. The rooms are large and comfy. The staff cleaned our bathroom and emptied trash every single day (which is uncommon for...

I was visiting Dali in summer and really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. I was staying in a mixed dorm. Its location is next to the old town and close to the Pagodas. Bus stop is a few meters away. The staff is very friendly and helpful - and they are speaking English, what's quite an advantage :) You...

I booked the superior double room for three nights. Great room, nice style, clean, new, quiet and garden view. The standard rooms are really basic and a little bit noisy because of a road in front. Big breakfast selection, bikes available for renting, staff is very friendly and helpful but should clean the social area more properly. You can walk...

The location is good and the room is fairly comfortable with reasonable price. The staff on the other hand is the down side. They are unhelpful and doesn't seem really interested in the guests. They can't give you simple instructions of what to do around town and how to go to places. On the first night we arrived very tired...

Pros: 1.The hostel is very basic, for 20 rmb per night the dorms were pretty much what we expected, The matress was comfortable enough. 2. The WiFi was fine, not the best, but we have seen worse. 3. Great location, 5 min. walk to the old city main street, 20 min. by bike to the three pagodas. 4. Absolutely amazing...

I came here with my boyfriend for 2 nights and everything was good ! The owner and staff are really welcoming and helpful (tips for the bus, places to eat...). This hostel is also well located and quite cheap. We had an economic double room (twin beds) which was simple but really clean and confortable. Shared bathroom was also clean...

We stayed 3 nights in a double room and enjoyed it. The hostel is located 5 minutes walk for the west gate, outside of the old town which is more quiet. The common area is made of a huge restaurant/cinema room and a patio. There's also a large backyard. Wifi was working well everywhere. The double rooms are spacious and...
