I really enjoyed my stay at this charming small inn. The stay may not be compared to the luxury of a five stars hotel but what made it so special was the personable experience. Sure you may encounter friendly and helpful staffs in good hotels. But if you want to meet real people who sincerely cared about your being, were curious on where you come from and would readily share their life stories as well, then this is just the place. Both the staffs and the guests were in a relax mood to share, learn or help during my stay. It helped that the place was decorated to blend into the Naxi culture and made you feel like you are part of their home and story.

My favourite memory would be on a rainy day when I arrived back at the hostel after 5 hours of horse ride. All the rooms was booked for the day and I was cold and in need of some sleep before catching the plane later. The kind inn assistant saw my distress and offer her bed to me. I took it and offered to pay up after a good rest...
