What a gorgeous spot in the old town. The lodge itself is beautiful and the rooms were superbly decorated. The staff were extremely responsive and really helpful in organising our airport transfer and then even walked us down to the bus station in the morning of our departure. Easy location, just on the edge of the old town and 3...

The historic centre is presumably the only reason why you are visiting LIjiang as a tourist, so it is strongly advisable to find an accommodation there. Consider that if you sleep there they lift the daily access charge to the area; and you can enjoy a walk by night without too many people around (unless like us you are there...

Stayed here for 4 days over Chinese new year and were very comfortable throughout. The hotel arranged a free pickup from the airport which was great as we had a late flight and most provincial Chinese taxi drivers start salivating at the sight of a tourist. Katherine on the front desk spoke excellent English and helped with everything from transport,...

Our initial plan was stayed two nights in this lovely antique hotel, and we extended another two nights after discovered the beauty of this hotel. Katherine and the staffs provide an excellent hospitality, and good breakfast. This beautiful hotel combined the Song and Yuan dynasties building architecture with modern interior designs. Good location at the old city and close to the main outside road and bus station which we found very useful. Because vehicles are not allowed in the old city, being close to the gate makes traveling outside of the old city easier. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they did above and beyond to make us comfortable and help...

Excellent service from the staff! The location is wonderful. Close enough to soak in the atmosphere of the old City but at the same time it's quiet to chill out! The nightlife is a must see! Rows & rows of pubs & winebars all pumping with life bands 7 nites a week!

We stayed in this cute hotel for about 3 days. It was the perfect location for staying in Old town. The hotel was great in picking us up at the airport even after our plane was delayed a couple of hours. You do have to pay for transporation back to the airport if you don't stay the required days. However,...

The hotel is located on one side of the old town. As we stayed for four nights, they organised a car pick up from the hotel. As it was a low season, they gave us an upgrade to a room on top of the hill. The view is excellent but you just have to walk up a long stairway. The...

Awesome staffs and boss, very helpful and considerate. This lovely hotel is very near to the entrance of one of the gates of Old City. Touring around the old city is quite easy and you could request for a free tour guide if you need help. English is very limited though. Every evening you could just sit by the lounge...

One of the nicest hotels in my 3 weeks in China. The location is easy to find inside the old town but away from the noise and crowds of the other end of the old town. The room was lovely and a good bathroom too. Staff were very helpful although their English almost as limited as my Chinese - thank...

“---Some of the rooms in the lower courtyard are facing directly to the entrance and reception area. Some noise may be experienced if the hotel is busy and the guests cannot keep quiet. ---Double rooms with _separate single beds_ are only found in the upper courtyard (at least when we were there) = not so convenient if you have trouble walking quite a few stairs. ---The two-story suites in the upper courtyards are said to be converted into family rooms - check with the hotel directly in case the web booking system is not updated. ---However, if the two-story suites are not upgraded, they are not very useful since the ground floor is just an entrance hall with no furniture plus a bathroom, and the second floor bedroom is a little cramped with a weirdly placed washbasin next to the bed and a wc without a door(!).”
