It is a OK type of hotel in the old city of Lijiang. Maintenance is not great. Breakfast is quite poor. It was a good idea to put it around small yards and it looks like a typical Chinese village. It is, actually, mainly made, for mass tourism and lacks a bit of charm and character.

Never come to this horrible hotel. Can't even call reception, all fakes number provided in guest book. It is like an inn, doesn't deserve 4 stars. not even a star should be given to this hotel. Room is dirty, very confusing, they never give you wifi password, try to call lobby reception can't go through. Once again, this place is... More

This hotel is in a great location in the southern part of the old town in Lijiang. It has an attractive entrance and is designed on a series of courtyards contains just short of 200 rooms. The hotel entrance, courtyards and rooms are traditionally decorated and look great. Our room was 0621 on the second floor. Staff brought our luggage to... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in mid-August, ‘16. It is a good base for enjoying the old area of Lijiang, set in a quieter part not far from one of the entrances. The hotel is nicely designed. Built in the early 2000's, it mimics a collection of old courtyards with rooms on two sides in attractive... More

Recently stayed with our OAT tour. Hotel is convenently located to old town. Has a nice room upstairs and was somewhat quiet except for locals talking loudly in the hallways. Two choices for breakfast which we selected the Western which was just ok with few choices. Be careful walking in old town do to locals speeding though on motor bikes.

From the front you think that the hotel looks great. But things went rapidly downhill from there. Our room had that damp musky old smell when we first walked in. The decor was drab and brown, and there were so few lights, it was just like we were in a cave. We asked for another room but because it was... More

First hotel in lifetime of travel that had no heat (wife and I slept in clothes). First hotel to provide two complementary condoms along with toothbrush, comb, etc. Management must be an enthusiastic supporter of China's former one-child policy-or maybe the place doubles as a by-the-hour venue. Good location in Old City. Exterior spaces reasonably attractive with lots of stone.... More

This hotel is in a series of small courtyards off lane ways. Quiet and with security guards on the corners. Pleasant room upstairs. Restaurants close by. It is in the Old Town but still about 20 mins walk to the Mu Palace. Breakfast just OK.

I was on a tour of China, and stayed in 7 hotels This one was by far the poorest, and did not offer the services which the other hotels did. The room was basic, in need of decorating (one part of the wallpaper was repaired with a patch of about 7 sq. cm.), the room had no safe or fridge,... More

Large rooms located off numerous courtyards. No AC and fans were very inadequate. All 20w light bulbs had to be replace with 40w bulbs procured somewhere by our OAT Guide. No one spoke English so the guide was on constant demand. The only alternative was to ask for assistance from the staff at the Intercontinental hotel near by. This is... More
