Had an enjoyable evening meal here tonight. One has to park on the hilly road approaching the town and walk the last couple of hundred metres. It is a pleasant walk but would be quite gruelling in the heat of the day so we were glad we came early evening. If we came later we would have had a longer...

We visited Motovun for the day and stopped here for lunch . The restaurant is set up both indoors and outdoors with lovely views over the city walls. we just had a snack of Bruschetta with truffles and a truffle salad , both were delightful, freshly made and tasty. I needed a little more olive oil on my salad but...

My husband and I holidayed in Motovun for five nights in a rented villa and we decided to relax and treat ourselves one afternoon by booking some treatments at the Spa&Wellness Center at Hotel Kastel. I booked a one-hour massage with olive oil followed by a champagne bath, and my husband had a mani&pedi. The entire experience has left me...

We arrived in Motovun and Hotel Kastel four days before our wedding there, and we were so well taken care of during the whole stay. The staff is so friendly and genuinly interested in the well-being of their guests- it's obvious in everything they do. I am so glad we chose this beautiful spot for our wedding, and I will...

This hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill (strenuous walk to get there), but very nice. The views are spectacular! The people are friendly, there's places to eat; food is excellent. Fortunately, there are folks to take your luggage up to the hotel. If you had to lug it yourself, you'd probably give up.

Wonderful place - the little town is remarkable (one feels like in Umbria or Tuscany), the hotel is very comfortable, the service impeccable, the dinner excellent - unfortunately we didn't have time to try the Spa, but it looks very good, too

Four of us stayed here for 3 nights and this hotel should be at least a four star. The rooms are really nice and airy and very clean. He staff are all very friendly and can't do enough for you. We where on a walking holiday and it was the perfect base. Best place to stay in Motovun.

The hotel is located at the top of a mountain. The views are spectacular. I loved walking the cobblestone streets and browsing the small gift shops. The hotel itself was quite nice and the service was fabulous. We stayed two nights. I enjoyed the breakfast, the lovely pool and had a wonderful massage at the spa. I would highly recommend...

This hotel is in a stunning location at the top of the hilltop town of Motovun. We only stayed for one night and after cycling all the way to the top of the hill, we were very glad to arrive. The hotel itself seemed a little tired, as did some of the staff although we tried out the indoor swimming...
