I was taken with the looks of the place and burned by my first impression. Staff dressed in traditional outfits, perfectly bilingual receptionist and very personable and helpful. Took lots of pictures of the antique furniture, but again, nice to look at but don't check in! The bed was horribly uncomfortable (probably needs an update) and the food was terrible....

BUT - do not go here if you have may heavy suitcases! You will end up carrying them up 2 - 3 very narrow flights of stairs and you will hate it. They do not have an elevator. The rooms are decorated in a quaint old school manner with little warm touches like complementary brandy, tea, coffee, toiletries. You might...

We had planned to look for a room for early occupancy as we were landing in Split very *very* early in the morning. We spoke with Marina who told us they were fully booked, unfortunately, and so were other hotels in Trogir. However Marina suggested that we could come to the hotel with our luggage and have breakfast (and lunch)...

A quaint hotel that must be 200 years old. Great rooms with and old world charm and modern facilities. Great air conditioning. Bathroom a bit tired but functional. Separate study or reading room. Bed nice but on the firm side. I was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift. Porters took my bags up for me. Good breakfast...
