Spent here like 3 weeks on a business trip. My room was ok. At first it had a kinda like double bed but was replaced with a bigger one after some time. The WiFi is not as strong inside the rooms. You have to come out to experience better speeds. But still the bandwidth is not that big. You have...

I've been staying here on and off since 2008. It remains the best value hotel in Goma I know. It is peaceful, has excellent Congolese dishes (including grilled Tilapia, Goma-style), and a fine breakfast. The rooms are simple but spacious and hot water is consistently available. Goma has some pretty reasonable accomodations which is not the same for Bukavu. Ishango is a nice basic hotel with many positive features. My room was large en the restaurant is a joy. Its conveniently located near roads and yet peaceful. Service is friendly enough. The bathrooms are so-so and cleanliness is 7 out of 10 but very good value...

I spent a week in this hotel and came away with a feeling that every moment spent there was special. Great food, friendly staff and wonderful owner, who could make time to talk with guests even with his busy schedule. Matthew Momoh
