We spent three nights last week at this excellent ecolodge. I had visited the Cuyabeno Lodge a few years ago and my second visit was as rewarding as the first. We were well taken care of and saw 6 types of monkeys, river dolphins, a sloth and a variety of birds. Our two guides, Veronica and Klever spoke excellent English... More

The Cuyabeno lodge is one of the older lodges in the area and their experience shows. They ran a very nice operation, providing good service and excellent facilities given the remote location. The setup was ecologically sensitive and they seemed to have a good relationship with the indigenous community. The food was a surprising highlight - very well done (outstanding... More

Funny helpful staff, decent clean bedrooms with private bathroom and good food. I reserved four days with the ecolodge Cuyabeno and payed 280$ which included the guide, food and the 3 nights staying. However, not all activities were included. ✅FOOD was excellent. The chef tried to vary the food every day and offered fish or meat. There was always a... More

My partner and I had the best experience of our trip around South America here. We did not want to leave the lodge (neither did anyone else on the tour for that matter) and we are definitely going to return for more. The lodge is lovely, quiet and unlike other lodges in the area does not have all their lights... More

My wife and I and our 8-year old son stayed at the Cuyabeno Lodge in August of 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The lodge is located in a perfect spot on the lake. It has easy access to the lake, multiple rivers, and the surrounding rainforest. This seems like an advantage over other lodges that we saw - which... More

This lodge is truely an Ecolodge. It is clear that its purpose is to act for the conservation of the Cuyabeno Reserve and tourists are integrated to this protection initiative. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1989, the Cuyabeno Lodge was the first lodge in the park; the owners believed that the rainforest traveler should be accommodated in conditions which would be both in harmony with the surrounding environment and attuned to the needs of the modern visitor. At Neotropic Turis, we, the owners of the Cuyabeno Lodge, are the pioneers in the tourist operation and we built the first Eco friendly lodge in the Cuyabeno National Park. The Cuyabeno Lodge is one of two lodges located right on the lake and one of the few lodges that never gets flooded. We recently built a canopy watch tower and 3 new deluxe rooms. We have 24 hours electricity from solar energy, the only silent electrical motors in the park for excursions and hot showers. ... more   less
