This place is located near night clubs on a very noisy corner .. It's quite a walk to the Malecon from here and the walk itself is a bit scary on main boulevard 9 de Octubre. It felt as if someone was constantly following us. The hotel itself is basic .. Beds are made of cardboard and the rooms are...

The hostel is located in a very central area 1 block from the main avenue close to a huge supermarket, ATMs ect. The staff are very accommodating, booking taxis for early flights is not a problem. The rooms are very spacious, have very good air conditioning and the showers have good running hot water. I highly recommend staying at this...

Great place to stay, the hostel is extremely clean and very close to the main avenue in a safe area! The staff are extremely helpful and speak very good English - they accommodated all our needs. The rooms are really great with comfy beds, hot water and aircon. The kitchen has all the facilities you need along with the rooftop...

We arrived in Guayaquil bus station and booked this place as it was the first half decent hotel that showed up on booking.com. It's situated in what we were assured was a safe part of town and it was fine when we went out at night. The hotel owner speaks English, French and Spansih and all the staff were friendly...

We thought the hostal was overpriced with the facilities they have. The fridge was off when we were there so not able to use it. Also the bed was not comfortable. We had the feeling we were sleeping in a table. Also the people were a bit pushy. They forced themselves on us about info about cruises for the Galapagos....

I would like to have stayed longer. The Hostal was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My Spanish is extremely limited, so I was disappointed when the proprietor who speaks English was not there; however, the person in charge took good care of me and I had no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this place...

We stayed here for 3 nights to organise a trip to the Galápagos Islands. The tour operator who works with Hostal Madrid Suites was incredibly helpful. He got us a good last minute deal, which went off without a hitch. The hostel itself isn't bad or exceptional. It's a comfortable place to crash as a backpacker.

We stayed here for three nights. Upon arrival, although booked through booking.com, they showed us different rooms and wanted 10$ more for a room that was not on the noisy side of the street. We passed, but noisy it really was! It's not in the nicest part of Guayaquil, but it is in the center. They gave us advice on...

The hostel is exactly like the pictures. Small colourful rooms full of tile. We checked in late at night and the man at the front desk didnt speak much english which was a problem trying to pay. Our paper print out showed canadian dollars, not US and he was calculating it wrong. Eventually, we got it all sorted out. We...

We needed a landing spot in Guayaquil and this was a good location and a very nice structure. Gorgeous tile work and wallpaper, which I am always a sucker for! The staff was very helpful, and their cafeteria downstairs for lunch was tasty and very affordable. They have a kitchen for use and a huge grocery store only 3-4 blocks...
