Our group stayed at the Tabuba House while doing volunteer work about 15 minutes away in the north of the city. The Tabuba house was a real refuge. From the incredibly clean rooms, charming and helpful owners to the purified water and delicious breakfast served by Rocio everyday, we were always grateful to lay our heads here. The area is...

Vanessa and Jaime were wonderful hosts at the Tabuba Guest House. I stayed for 9 nights in a comfortable room. Rocio made myself and friends feel at home each morning with her lovely conversation and kind spirit. She was also a wonderful cook! Breakfasts were delicious! If I ever return, I will stay here!

Traveled with a group of friends; we arrived exhausted after a long drive.Owner Jaime and his assistant Josue were welcoming and had our rooms ready, that felt good... but they forgot the tissue paper for my bathroom and it took a while to receive it. The owner recommended a simple restaurant nearby, and saw to it that the car was...

Stayed on the way to Peru. Clean room, WiFi, hot shower and air conditioning. The area is not touristy, but most of the locals are friendly. Close to the airport. Really nice staff who even got up at 3.30am to see us safely to our taxi. Recommend a stay here.

Clean rooms, good size, with nice bathrooms. The hostal is well-priced, close to the airport, but not in a great neighborhood. The hostal owners are very friendly and willing to call you a cab to wherever you need to go, but do not speak much English, so I would anticipate it could be hard to communicate your needs without much...

The guest house is less than ten mins in the car from the airport which is why I chose it. It's basic but serves its purpose well. I needed a place to stay overnight, arriving at the airport night and leaving in the morning. The guest house organized an airport pick up which was great since finding the house can...

We stayed here for two days - the night before leaving to Galapagos Islands, and the night before heading back to the United States. The guest house is a great location if you want to be close to the airport since it is a 5 minute drive. The cost for the taxi is $5 each way. We always brought a...

We came from Cuenca to get to the airport here in Guayaquil. My husband and I were very pleased when they greeted us and showed us to our room way earlier than check in time. The hosts are friendly and speak pretty good English. Food at breakfast is simple, but good. Staff is great. The room is clean and simple...

The rather difficult to find door on a small street opens up to a surprisingly modern home. We were the only guests, but I expect the noise level would be high from guests coming and going. Certainly the door bell resounded throughout the house. The enclosed parking as promised turned out to be not so enclosed with an asleep guard...

I've stayed twice at the Tabuba Guest House, and I'm about to arrange another stay for my wife and children over the Christmas break. The operators (Jamie and Vanessa) really care about their guests, making sure that you enjoy your stay. The rooms are very clean, roomy, and well equipped with adequate linens, cable TV, internet and AC. There is...
