If you are looking for a place to stay in Riobamba this is the place to go. It is affordable and the rooms are good for the weekend. The shower has hot water and you also have a small communal kitchen and a garden. If you are looking for a good affordable stay this is the place to go. Don't...

The most friendly hostal near the center of Riobamba, on walking distance. The lady that runs it with her family, gives you a very welcoming feeling. Rooms are comfortable, shower massage-like, good for waking up! Nice atmosphere, with the little garden and chairs and tables outside. For those who want to use the guest kitchen, it's all there. No breakfast,...

As the guide book says... cute & family run, it definitely has it quirks. My room... A single was small nearly enough room to put my backpack down & negotiate the bed. Bathroom was clean and with instant hot water a relief. Staff and owner are friendly and helpful, but at times the door bell for access went unanswered for...

My girlfriend and I had envisioned this as a stop-over, as we were only planning to stay in Riobamba for a day and a half. We didn't really know what to expect from this hostel as there weren't many reviews. We were really pleasantly surprised. The best thing about the place is the spacious patio and outdoor cooking area. It...

I have lived in QUito and Cuenca and traveled all over this country for almost 5 years and this is one of the...

We stayed here one night before Alausi. We didn't realise the bus would have been possible from Baños to Riobamba and then Alausi in one leg, kind of wish we did and Riobamba has little to offer (not even a good map!). The hostal was a nice setting but our room was jot well kept and the floor was disgusting,...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights. First of all..., the location was great. We could go anywhere from there for $1.00 in a taxi from this location. It is deceiveing from the street as it has an opening at the street that looks as if you are going into any business or hotel. Once inside the very...

Steve in a three bed dorm with friends. The rooms are very neat, with rock walls and stained glass windows. It seems family run and you are always met with a smile. He place is always locked and thus very secure. A little annoying when we were leaving to do a hike early in the morning, as we ended up...

Part of me wants to give Hostal Oasis 4 stars, because the service is friendly and helpful, the courtyard invites conversation with other guests, there is a stove and sink in the courtyard, and they have off-street parking for two vehicles. But between the roosters crowing and the dog barking on the roof across the street, sleep is impossible for...

There doesnt seem to be much backpacker outlets in this town so this came up as the budget alternative. clean, comfy, wifi, hot water and amazing family hospitality. ... I definitely recommend it. its also within 10min walk of everything.
