Ahmed's hotel is 4 km from the centre of Bawiti on the border of the desert. A number of rooms have recently been refurbished, hot water and working WC (water is often suspended at night). You should not choose the cheapest rooms. Not much reason to walk around in Bawiti, only for the ATM (you cannot pay by credit card at Ahmed's hotel) and buying water etc. Ahmed's have a lovely well kept garden if you want to stay at the hotel the afternoon when you arrive. (Photos appended). However, the purpose of coming to the Bahariya Oasis is not the oasis but the Black and White Deserts on a 120 km stretch between Bawiti and Farafra.

The friendliest staff ever. My group felt very much at home. All our needs were met, starting with ready prepared rooms, fresh food, and tours planned. At night they would put the fire out and let us stay outdoors with some of them singing local songs. My dogs were more than welcome and they had plenty of space to play and run around freely in the camp. This camp and hotel is exceptional on all levels, particularly with regards to the money paid for the exceptional service.

We visited the Camp with our Group of about 20 to 30 People while being on our 2 weeks Egypt Stay.

We spend 2 Days in the Camp, travelling by Day through the closer Deserts, climbing the Black Mountain, taking Baths in the Hot Springs and injoying the Tea and Music of the Locals.

After those 2 Days we headed into the Desert itself. For 4 Days we spend every secound Outside, under the Sky and living Life to its fullest.
Through the Day we hiked or drove around (Hamada Desert King, best Driver in Country!!!) Chasing each others or surfing some Sand Dunes.

In the Evening we got the best someone could imaging as and awesome Meal, with delicious Tea, great Music and an unbelievable Nightsky.

All the Time we were accompanied by Ezz, Hamada and all the other Drivers, making sure no wish stays unfullfiled.

It was an amazing and unforgetable Trip and for sure wont be my last one.

My first solo travel and my first experience camping in the middle of a desert! Bahariya Oasis was definitely above all my expectations and the beauty, Oh! So surreal!
Amir's resort was comfortable and the lunch they served (p.s: I'm a vegetarian) was so delicious! Such friendly staff and very proactive!
I recommend it to all the travelers who plan on camping at Bahariya!
The person who drove us to our camp-site was brilliant! He is a multi-tasker... he's an amazing driver who drove us through such a terrain like that of the desert and he even cooked the most delicious meal for dinner! I mean, the man cooked a legit 4-course meal! And a yummy one in that! Kudos!!

One thing I'd like to share as an area for improvement is that the restrooms can be maintained even better.
Double whammy when there's no water and power supply!
I do understand that there was probably an issue with power supply, given that the hotel is located almost in the middle of nowhere.

Overall, loved my experience; Thank you Amir & team!

Bestttt,
Aishwarya

The desire to visit the Black and White deserts, to spend the night under the starry sky drove us in search.
We book in the Bahariya oasis, in the city of Baviti - the center of the oasis, the Ahmed Safari Camp hotel.
And we're lucky.
Literally a day after booking, we were contacted by Mr. Ezz, one of the leaders of Ahmed Safari Camp.
Mr. Ezz quickly answered the questions that arose:
What is the most convenient bus station to get to Baviti?
how to get from Baviti bus station to the hotel?
We were very surprised and delighted when an employee of the Ahmed Safari Camp met us by car at the bus station in Baviti.
Camp is an oasis of silence, tropical aromas and peace.
No less surprise and joy was caused by the room presented to us - snow-white with a high vaulted ceiling. High quality bedding, excellent plumbing in the toilet and shower.
The Egyptian national meat dish was delicious, filling and overwhelming.
The breakfast included in the price was also adequate and tasty.
The desert tours offered by Mr. Ezz were enjoyable and educational.
Thanks to the young Badr, an excellent guide, an experienced driver, an excellent cook and just a wonderful person, we got an unforgettable experience.
Thank you Mr. Ezz for the work you are doing, for a great, interesting stay.
Thank you to your team for doing a lot to keep things going well.

The tour was the most incredible experience we had in Egypt, this is a must do if and I fully recommend Ahmed’s company, the food and service was outstanding. We didn’t have a chance to stay but the hotel but it looked so beautiful and if I return to Egypt, I will definitely book to stay!

But most of all, Ahmed went way way way beyond any expectations we had even after we left the tour. He helped us find a bus to Faiyum and kept in contact on the phone with the drive the entire way to ensure that we arrived safety. Our bus took a diversion and he even helped find and bargain with a driver over the phone to ensure we got to our destinations at a reasonable price. I have never experienced such a service and we are so grateful for all his help.

Ezz- thank you so much for everything, we will never forget how you helped us!

Choosing to do this adventure was one of the best choices of my life! I did the two night tour from Cairo out to the oasis and spent the first day with a fun and kind driver who took a group of us out to the white desert and surrounding areas. It was life changing spending the night under the stars. On the second day, I stayed at the safari camp hotel and it was a peaceful place. Later that day, another driver took me on a private tour around the Bahariya Oasis and it was so nice to sip Bedouin tea near the water and see all the local things. My stay at the hotel was lovely and they kept me well fed. I definitely recommend this spot for your white desert adventures or to just get away from it all.

The tour was supposed to include a trip to the hot and cold springs which we didn't do. They also failed to take us sand boarding as promised. I'm a vegan and gluten free. I told 3 different staff members about my diet. The guide who prepared the food in the desert told me no one told him about my diet. I had two bananas and a few grapes for dinner. I paid $120 for the trip and they refused to reimburse anything for not having dinner. The staff lied and failed to take full responsibility. Also, the bus supposed to take us back to Cairo broke down.

My sister and I stayed here one night and we wished we could have stayed longer. The people were incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the camp hotel is quiet and relaxing. At night the camp hotel made a fire with tea and we had a wonderful conversation with a family we met from Cairo.

The camp hotel arranged a tour of the white and black desert for us, where we drove into the desert and slept for one night. The camp setup was comfortable and the guides were super accommodating. The views of black and white desert were unlike anything I have ever seen. The camp hotel also arranged a tour of the Oasis for us, where we saw pyramid mountain, the salt lake, and the English house.

If you are in Egypt, you should definitely visit this area. It is not to be missed!

I participated in both the overnight trip to the Black and White Deserts, and I also stayed overnight in Ahmed Safari Camp.
The trip to the Deserts was exceptional and a truly amazing experience. I joined a group of people my own age and the Camp's truly wonderful staff took care of us with camping equipment, BBQ dinner, campfire, Tabla songs and creating a positive and immersive atmosphere. The next morning we woke up to see the incredible sunrise in the White Desert and continued our jeep tour to the different sites and attractions before ending the day back at the Safari Camp.
I stayed another night in the camp and had the pleasure of enjoying the breathtaking green of the oasis, the beauty of the camp itself and the wonderful conversations with the people I met there.
Overall, my experience has been an 11/10 - I highly recommend this trip and stay for families, couples and solo travelers.
P.S. solo travelers - reach out to Ez about upcoming group trips that you can join if you are interested!
