The website and the brochures promise a luxurious heritage living experience merged with a home stay and promise warm and attentive service. Luxurious it is not - clearly. Rusted curtain rails , leaking bathrooms, cheap telephone sets that crackle all the time , bathroom floor mats that aren't changed for 2 days, accumulated dirt on furniture corners - clear signs...

I spent two nights at the Ranjit's SVAASA over Christmas, with my mother. The hotel is like a restored Haveli - a truly boutique, Indian hotel. Service was excellent, rooms spacious and cosy, with excellent Ayurveda spa facility on site (the oil massage was amazing!!) The staff even couriered my mothers medication which we accidentally left in the room. Highly...

We chose this hotel from a short list of two: it was double the price (~$125) of the other perfectly acceptable option, but based on the site and reviews, it appeared to exude more charm and also had a spa. It was not worth paying the premium for sub-par service (felt like a two-star and cost more than our five-star...

Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year and hope this year is full of positive energies for you. We do understand the inconvenience you have mentioned about the credit card fees; however this is resultant from the policies of the credit card company or bank and not Ranjit's SVAASA. As you have yourself acknowledged , that it was a charge...

We loved our stay here in November. We had a large suite on the first floor that was very comfortable. The furnishings were lovely and there is so much history in this place. So glad that the owner, who is a descendant of the amazing family who built this historic house, gave us a tour of all the wonderful photos that...

I feel very conflicted in giving Ranjit's Svaasa 3 out of 5 because it has so many of the elements that I love in a hotel. It is situated in a historic building and tucked away down a side lane where you would never find it if you were not especially looking. Fortunately our taxi driver from the airport knew...

This charming little hotel tucked away behind a mall in Amritsar was recommended to me by a friend. I stayed only 1 night as I was just on a short, impulsive trip from Delhi. I did not expect the hotel to be so charming and I wish I had stayed longer. The hotel exudes old-world charm complete with little wooden...

Tucked away down a lane off The Mall, this is a lovely quiet, rambling, heritage building. Our room on the first floor (Classic) was spacious and well furnished with a nice wide veranda to sit outside and relax. Although we arrived very late at night thanks to a delayed flight, the hotel picked us up and arranged a car and...

We stayed here for 2 nights in early November. The Havelli is full of character and faded grandeur. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. They organised a car for us for the Golden Temple and Wagah Border. The driver was lovely and became our unofficial tour guide giving us useful tips, insights and information. His tour...
