Nicely decorated and furnished clean rooms (with the exception of one issue detailed below) with TV, mini fridge, very comfy bed, private bathroom, A/C and fan. Great location virtually next door to the Golden Temple - there's a fantastic view from the roof. We had the cheapest category of room (rather confusingly called Delux) which cost Rs 1550 + 10%....

This hotel was located opposite the langar hall of the Golden Temple with great views from the rooftop. It was a relatively comfortable stay however we did find an alternate hotel after one night due to the price. We found it slightly expensive for what it is. Upon leaving the hotel management did start negotiating on price, as we gave...

While visiting to Golden Temple, you require a good hotel in Amritsar for a stay.. I opted for the hotel Indus. I reached Amritsar via Shatabdi from delhi. We reached hotel via cab provided free from the hotel. The first impression was not good as we were kept waiting as the room was not clean. I took a deluxe room...

A friend suggested that I stay at this hotel while visiting the Golden Temple... he was right. The location was great (VERY close to the temple), the staff was friendly, and the roof-top restaurant had some great food! Overall, I was very satisfied and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great...

Indus Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are in Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple. We arrived in Amritsar by train and took an auto rickshaw to the hotel. The hotel is easy to find as it is just left of the main entrance to the Golden Temple. The hotel is simple, clean, affordable, and has friendly...

Myself and my husband stayed at Hotel Indus for two nights in Febuary. After a long period waiting for suitcases at amritsar airport we arrived at hotel indus at 4:30am, it was still dark but we found the hotel very easily. Its right opposite the golden temple! By reading some of the more recent reviews, it seems they have some...

We actually ended up staying at the Indus Hotel because the hotel we wanted to stay in didn't have any free rooms. The staff was nice but the rooms were filthy, dark and had no windows. We only intented to stay in Amritsar for 1 night anyhow so knowing how frazzling Amritsar really is we didn't bother looking for anything...

Given that I stayed in the palacial Umaid Bhawan in Jaipur for less, I had been expecting much more from this hotel after its favourable writeup in Lonely Planet and on tripadvisor. To be honest, we should have known better when we saw the unloved, scruffy reception area, but we hoped for the best. We were shown to a small...

I booked this hotel on the internet thinking that it was going to be a great find. Unfortunately it turned out to be just the opposite. Everything about the hotel and my room was a disappointment. And I had a "Delux" room. The room itself was very small with no window and a large bed that took up all of...
