Detailed Reviews
We did a lot of research in to Lanta to find good beachfront hotels at reasonable prices, and stayed a week at Ae Phrae (Long Beach), a week at Klong Nin, and a week here at Kaw Kwang. This was the best overall. The resort is at the quiet end of the 2.9km sweeping attractive bay; the bay is shallow, so safe for swimming, but means wading out at low tide. It is a nice 10 minute stroll along the beach to a couple of relaxed beach restaurants (about 20% more than usual Lanta prices), or a short tuk tuk ride into bustling Ban Saladan (50 Baht per person). Our beachfront room was well-equipped, and thoroughly cleaned every day. What made this resort special was the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff in reception, bar, restaurant, cleaners, gardeners, security and the professional management. The organisation and presentation that went in to the Valentine's dinner on the beach was amazing, and was a memorable experience.

This hotel has probably the most stunning location I've ever been, very peaceful with a beautiful setting.the staff are lovely and cant do enough to help, from the owners, to the GM, Pheerasit, the head receptionist, the head housekeeper, Dao and all the restaurant staff all lovely ! The bar staff are lacking in charisma.
Breakfast was basic, but the lovely omelette lady was so accommodating, the main menu was excellent, some of the best food I've eaten in Thailand, Sun is an excellent chef !
Rooms were varied, all very tired and worn and could do with an upgrade, bring your own toiletries! Rooms 115 & 120 were fine, 123 air conditioning didn't work, 117 road noise and really old. I paid to upgrade to a deluxe beach room(332 ?) for my final 3 nights and that had incredible views, again some old furniture though.
I am already planning my next trip back.

Services: 24 hrs services by service-minded staffs. They always provide the best supporting and services, they also managed the booking for all the trips and activities for us and searched to make sure that we will get the best price for everything. We are so happy with their recommendation.
Food & Drinks: All the foods and drinks are very nice and yummy, the seafoods here are so fresh. There are so many menus for us to select both foods and beverages from their cafe, the coffee or smoothy, all are very nice one. The best meal here is the Thai style pork and seafood bbq at the beach front of the resort, it was the best dinner ever.
Room: We took the deluxe beach front one, the room is quite big and clean. All the basic electrical appliances also provided here such as small refrigerator and hair dryer.
Looking forward to be there again. 😊

The staff at Twin Bay really looked after us and nothing was too much of a hassle during our 5 week stay. Our room was right on the beach and provided us a beautiful view. The beach itself is one of the best I’ve ever seen for walking on....3km long, fine sand, flat, minimal rocks/shells. We will be staying here next time we visit Lanta.

This is a wonderful resort in a quiet location allowing you to enjoy peace and tranquility. The resort’s staff were friendly and helpful organising transport for us to experience an early morning sunrise and gondola ride. This is well worth it so ask at reception how to book this experience. The beach itself is perfect for walking along and swimming and there is an array of restaurant options within walking distance. We also hired bicycles and the resort kindly offered to pick us up if we didn’t have the energy to ride back. The pool area is perfect for families or just sitting sipping cocktails which were all delicious. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Finally the massages were all fantastic . The reception staff can call in massage therapists for you and will had one on the beach. Thank you so much for your welcoming service for helping facilitate all the activities we did. We will back.

This resort is located in the killing area of Ko Lanta Yai, some distance from the other resorts along this beach. It is a short walk to the bars and restaurants, but therefore very quiet. The beach is very flat and is largely dry at low tide, we only swam at quieter beaches in the south.
We had a house in the garden. A road runs along the garden, but it is very quiet, because of the garden you can sit more freely here than in the houses on the beach. The bed was reasonable (Thai beds are a bit too hard for us), and we had a separate toilet and shower. As is often the case in Thailand, not completely spick and span, but clean and it functioned well. We had two chairs on the terrace, but they were not great. In the afternoon sunbeds were available if we wanted to sit on the beach (under the trees). The swimming pool is not large and we did not use it.
The choice at breakfast was limited, but it was well replenished and cleaned up. The staff was nice and helpful. We rented a scooter at the hotel and they very kindly helped us when our pick-up did not show up.

Loud music at poolside with inebriated guests, other guests arriving with escorts, photos advertising property on booking.com were vastly photoshopped, very dated rooms and pool area.
We refused to stay beyond an hour but hotel insisted we paid for (2) unused rooms for 1 night.
We reluctantly agreed but since arriving back in the UK, they’ve taken payment for the whole booking and refused a refund.
I wouldn’t expect a property of such poor standard to be listed on booking.com.
Awful experience.

Very nice resort with beautiful grounds and a nice pool area. Located on the far north end of the beach, it is quiet and peaceful. The restaurant has good food, although a bit over priced for the location. The rooms are large and we'll equipped. Our room had a couple of minor issues such as the shower head and the a/c leaking. The thatched roofs are in need of repair, but it looks like some work is being done. Overall a great experience and we would stay here again. Just note that some sea view rooms are actually the bay side, not the beach. Oh, and the staff are super friendly and helpful!!

We were a family with 3 teenagers aged 18-21.
Everything went very well: accommodation in bungalows with a driveway dotted with pleasant tropical vegetation - magnificent swimming pools with a view of the beach - restaurant and bar near the swimming pool, copious savory or sweet breakfast - very welcoming and helpful staff whatever our requests (taxi call, laundry, contacting the airport for delayed luggage upon arrival). A dream place.
The only downside in August: it's not possible to swim in the pool after 9 p.m.! too bad it's early.
Access to other restaurants via the beach 10-15 minutes away: pleasant!
no need for a taxi

Stayed here for our honeymoon, and what a treat. The friendliest staff we have ever met. So helpful. The breakfast was delicious in the morning, with fresh ground and brewed coffee. The beach was fabulous and only a short 20 minute walk along the sand from other restaurants and bars. The pool was lovely and clean, rooms were clean, beds were firm, but they could add more comfort if you needed. The resort rented us scooters and that was the most fun we had all trip. Also much more secure and legit this way! Very safe and quiet area. Nice and close to all you need.

thank you for your interest, looking forward to welcome you guys
I asked the hotel to arrange for transportation both ways, no hassle. Coming to beach in January still fine weather still good.
Hi, you can swim in the ocean in front of the resort. There are some fishes but not as pretty as going out to some near by islands. There are a few one day trip for the snorkeling tour. More information will be avalible at the hotel reception.
"1. Cookery cause. 2. Go to elephant sanctuary not the full day one. 3. Go on a zip wire. 4. Defentily hire a mother bike there really handy. "Read full review
