I wanted to stay with my wife at Haad Mae Beach because of the lovely beach and the nice view, so we looked for a good beach bungalow directly at the beach. We found that bungalow at Wang Sai Resort. A basic bungalow with bed, fan and a very simple bath room. That was okay for us because other options... More

We stopped for lunch in this very nice looking restaurant near Koh Ma. Friendly staff but once again the food was very disappointing. The Tom Kah was basically warm coconut milk and the curry was barely eatable. Two stars for the scenery only.

This place has a great location, right on the beach, but that's pretty much what's worth saying about this so called resort(?!?) The staff is not friendly as you know the Thais, maybe they had a bad day, but this is their job. The room was not at all worth 850THB, and I got to the the beach bungalow for... More

We went there with some friends for the full moon party. Was a great option. The place is super nice and calm, comparing with the party areas. There are taxis that know the area and is easy to go anywhere (the island is not that big after all). The only con that I have is that, when i was going... More

This is a really nice hotel with good food and nice friendly people. Top clean rooms, we liked it. Beach is beautiful but beware of jellyfishs. They are not dangerous. Go there north is not far away from rest. Take a scooter not in the hotel, go 150 meters to the street beside. The last house on the right side... More

Spent 5 nights in one of the beach bungalows at this resort located on Mae Haad beach. Though fairly basic it was blessed with aircon as well as hot water and a fridge. Staff were lovely, the managers Jai and Micky were always keen to help. Bedding and towels changed every 3 days. The resort has a reasonably priced restaurant... More

A beautiful, peaceful location. Staff are fantastic. The bungalows are basic, but clean and perfectly suited to the location. Don't expect luxury, but do expect peace and quiet. The reef is just off the beach and there is a lot of marine life - bring your snorkeling gear. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Wang Sai resort is a nice quite resort at Haad Mae Hat. The staff is friendly and the room we had was nice, but not spectacular, beds were absolutely good. It was absolutely value for money, since we booked through Chaloklum diving (600 bath per night). The restaurant serves good Thai food for a decent price.

First of all you need to remember you are in Thailand... A hut on a beach with white sand and a warm sea should be all you need! The staff are all amazing - Mickey (sp?) in particular! Free wifi in the resort restaurant - they're happy for you to just sit there and use it without eating too! Just... More
