Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We picked the Panmanee due to the good reviews we saw on here and its close proximity to everything on Koh Phi Phi, it did not disappoint. The rooms are fairly basic, but clean and everything works as it should. We had a double room for a week, which overlooked some roofs, doesn't sound too amazing, but it was lovely and quiet and so close to everything worth seeing and doing in Phi Phi. The lady on reception was always friendly as well as the cleaning staff, daily housekeeping was to a good standard and we really couldn't fault this place. It is in the market area of the island but we didn't hear much, because of how quiet Koh Phi Phi is at the moment this is possibly why, but a short walk took us to a really good Thai food place called Recommended Meals and was close to the Patcharee Bakery which was also a frequent visit of ours. We also arrived earlier than our check in but our room was ready and we were allowed to get in and get settled. After having a scout on Agoda etc some accommodation on Koh Phi Phi is expensive, but this more than served a purpose for a place to get some rest and a good sleep and was excellent value for money.

Our recent stay at the newly-renovated Panmanee Hotel on Phi Phi Island was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel's prime location, with a convenient food street right in front, was a major plus.
The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pillows are firm and fluffy. The amenities were excellent, with comfortable beds, a proper fridge, and a flat-screen TV. Comes with great supply of hot water shower, aircon and hair-dryer + kettle. We had a few rainy nights so we were thankful for the firm and modern roof.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any requests. They provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants.
Overall, I highly recommend Panmanee Hotel for a convenient and enjoyable stay on Phi Phi Island. The renovations have given the hotel a fresh new look, while still maintaining its charming island atmosphere.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. Very clean, friendly staff, really modern, smart TV etc.. Very good location if your look for more peace and quiet (something I was nervous about when coming to Phi Phi as I had been told you can’t get away from the noise of parties) however we had no issues and great soundproofing It is In a great location as only 5 min max from the port- and there is a food market literally on the door step which had amazing food! Also a 7/11 right next to it if you needed any essentials. Would definitely recommend

I liked the renovation that has been carried out, the interior of the hotel and the exterior is impeccable. Things have to be improved but they are in their process, it starts somewhere.
The rooms are more than comfortable and perfect, we loved the choice and decoration. All new utensils practically brand new. The dryer had the seal that it had not been used. The fridge is huge for families and the air conditioning is perfect. It has been our salvation from another disastrous hotel that we have found in another part of the island. All the hotel staff are very friendly and they allow you to store your bags once you finish checking out, and you can pick them up whenever you want.
In general it has been a very high degree of satisfaction, the bed captures you, so be very careful hahaha!!!!
Things that I didn't like and need to be improved, first of all that you can't pay by card, they put it right there at the reception, and then they require the deposit in cash. I had to leave my passport as a deposit since we were out of cash in their local currency.
The hotel has been renovated and they continue to improve, but the bathroom smells like a sewer. The smell that rises from time to time is horrible, they should correct that or failing that (if it is not correctable) a bathroom air freshener to disguise it.

Room is cosy, very clean and upper floors are way better than ground floor rooms. The property looks new and is located smack in the center of all the madness but quiet and away from it.
A good 3 minutes walk from Tonsai Pier, and situated within 3 minutes walk to the Long Dalum Bay beach, a superbly beautiful beach - meant for instagrammers.
Pro tip: the day tours contracted by the hotel seems to be cheaper than elsewhere and online, and it's really worth the money and time to just book directly with them.
The only problem, largely, is the mosquitoes in the lobby. It's like a buffet for them.

Stayed here on a recommendation from “ Adventures with Angela and Wayne”. Very quiet hotel, close to food options, off the main path, so vey quiet. Staff were able to arrange ferry transfers which was cheaper than right at the pier! Close to 7-11 . As it was off season ( or close to it) we were able to have late check out with no additional fees. Hotel also held our luggage until we left the island.

Very clean hotel room right in the middle of the island. Perfect to be at 5 minutes of walk of everything without having the chaos noise of Phi Phi that you could Find near the Pier or the beaches.
Room was very cheap but very clean and modern. Would definitively go back there if needed.
Friendly staff

As soon as we hopped off the ferry, there was someone with a Panmanee Hotel sign who helped us with our bags to the hotel. The walk to the hotel was less than 5 min. Please be aware there are several steps to reach the lobby and to your room without elevator access. They will help carry your suitcase up the stairs. Check in was easy. Note there was a 500 baht deposit for the keys. The hotel is pretty run down in terms of amenities, expect the bare minimum. The bathroom smelled like sulfur, no hand soap (need to use the shower body gel) and some ants on our last night. 2 free water bottles everyday. Air conditioning worked great. There was no noise during the evening hours! There's a small strip of vendors a few steps from the hotel where you can enjoy cheap authentic food!! We opted for the local food instead of their breakfast. It is a close walk to both beaches on either side of the island. If you are looking for comfort and luxury, this is not the place to stay. We were glad that we only had to spend two nights here. The best thing about this hotel was the location.

Hotel in the center of the city close to everything and above all very quiet knowing that you are in the center. You can walk around the entire city with its 2 beaches and particularly go to the highest viewpoint to admire and take magnificent photos without forgetting to make excursions, particularly Maya Bay. Not to mention that you have the port to take the ferry close to this hotel (on foot)

My hotel room was basic but very clean, had great AC, and a great view (rooftops and partial view of cliffs). Location is great in that it is very central (if that is what you are looking for, it was great for me). My hotel room was quiet, I had no issues with noise. The staff is amazing, very kind and helpful, helped me book a snorkeling tour run by a local company and a ferry. Thanks for everything!!

yes there are safes in the room. breakfast must have been an added extra in price which we never went for as there are lots of nice cafes/restaurants near by. we did see a small restaurant within the hotel serving toast and cereals and juices
There are more places to choose from in the Ko Phi Phi Don area.
