Not a bad place, rooms a bit dark and dingy. Nice view over beach NOTHING to do here in the evening absolutely NOTHING ! Would I stay here again or recommend this place ? Sorry no ! You can find much better than this for the money on Phi Phi ( been coming here over 25 years now ) stayed on Long beach once before …a long time ago vague memories of it being boring after dark …..which I had acted more on those memories it is absolutely dull as can be after dark …,better to stay near Tonsai and just get long tails here and back daily . The convenience of staying right on the beach is not worth it and there is no exclusivity anyway as all the boats are constantly coming and going in large numbers. Wi-Fi is crap and only ONE channel worked on my TV. Never again

Perfect for a few relaxing days. Fin strand. Trevliga bungalows. Friendly staff. Located a little remote for better or worse. You can take a boat to town or walk half an hour through the forest if you do not have physical problems.

The restaurant is good and we ate most meals here. However, very strange staff who barely greet and stand and stare at the phones. Not a smile from them all the time.

The place is heavenly but the restaurant staff is not friendly, not smiling, you really have the impression of annoying them! The food is very good though, which is a shame.
The man at the reception looks you up and down, he's clearly not cut out for this job. On the other hand, the lady, who may be the boss, is friendly. The maids didn't have time to clean our room, we have 2 young children, it would have been nice of them to at least change the bins!!

We stayed at the resort for one night during our trip to Phi Phi Leh. The resort is on Long Beach and you need to take a long tail boat from the pier after you arrive. Pickup and drop is complementary and you will see their representative awaiting for you when you arrive.
The resort is beautifully maintained, lots of trees and greenery. It is right on the beach and the rooms are large and beautiful. We had a room on the 2nd floor but upgraded to a cottage that was huge and quite nice.
The beach is private and exclusive, water is absolutely clear and you can see fish without even snorkeling mask.
The food is delicious and is very reasonably priced and so are the drinks.
They also have an ATM and a mini mart at the resort to help you.
Tours are arranged by them If you wish.
And the best thing obviously is the open air massage center. The ambiance is so relaxing that you will just love it. Must do thing.

That rare case when a small tropical hotel does not decay, but flourishes. This is evidenced by the increase in the number of positive reviews and ratings on booking sites. But my review is addressed not to first-time visitors (everything has gotten better for them), but to part of the loyal public - those who come here often and for a long time and loved the hotel for its garden and simplicity. I will write about the bad and the good. The Pearl has certainly become more of a hotel and less of a village. They built a beautiful open restaurant, expanded the menu and improved service (several young waiters we knew continue to work). It became brighter in Thai houses because the narrow front windows were replaced with wide double-glazed windows. The garden is still lush. About sad things for me and, perhaps, someone else. They installed knee-high dividing fences between the bungalows, and fenced off the old breakfast room from the bungalow area. To build the restaurant, the tables that had previously stood on the sand were removed and almost all the casuarina trees were cut down. There is only one left, but it is not certain that she will survive. They dug four metal pipes into the sand and placed reed umbrellas on them. Beneath them are sun loungers - these are apparently casuarinas instead. The atmosphere of open space and freedom, if not evaporated, was greatly dimmed. I’ll still give it a “Five” because the hotel has become better for most vacationers, but it’s a pity for the village.
Yes, and more. Due to the increase in quality and ratings, prices have soared; it is now difficult to book a hotel, because it is always full. But management helps by answering emails and Facebook messages, and sometimes finds an option even if booking sites reach their limit.

My review is on the restaurant because we didn’t not stay at the hotel. My daughter and I walked to long beach from town. We wanted to have drinks and lunch. When we arrived staff did not greet us we had to approach them and ask if we could buy drinks and food. They looked at us like wtf are you doing here. Didn’t give us a menu and made us pay for each item as we ordered it rather than at the end. Treating us like we were criminals (we are a family for heck’s sake). We felt so unwelcome we decided not to buy lunch there because it was clear we were not wanted. Staff were just sitting down chatting the whole time and the place was empty! I think the reviews on here are very accurate!

Let me start with the fact that I have vacationed in this hotel several times and have been in all categories of rooms and always returned. On this next visit, the hotel completely disappointed me! Of course, I understand that it’s low season and the occupancy rate is incomplete... but with such approaches you will generally be left without anyone willing to live in the hotel. We paid $300 for the Thai house K3 for 3 nights (without breakfast), but in fact, apart from the hotel’s location on a very beautiful beach, there was nothing. And this time the beach, frankly speaking, was so-so!!! There was garbage everywhere, bottles, cigarette butts... the same thing was floating in the sea. Last year we were there at the same time, but the beach was clean, it was cleaned every day, this year the staff was all sitting around picking their noses, and there was dirt all around.
Cleaning is just one name! There is a team of 5 people walking around, but they haven’t even swept the floor! They just made the bed (they didn’t change it once in 3 days), changed the towels and put on the water! All!!! The service just sucks! At the same time, the staff is just sitting on their phones! It’s unclear where the hotel manager is looking!
The towels are so old that it’s unpleasant to even wipe your body with them, let alone your face! Bed linen is yellow! Dirt all around! Mouse shit was even found on the nightstand, but after cleaning it wasn’t even removed. The dust is perennial everywhere, as if it had come not from a hotel, but from an abandoned hut. The rat that crawled right into our bed at night is absolutely chaos!
At the same time, the hotel is filled with cats and kittens, in the restaurant they brazenly climb onto your bench, rub against your feet, the staff does not react to this at all!
For the first time in many years of visiting this beautiful place, we just wanted to run away from it! Despite the natural beauty of this wonderful place, I never want to return there again!

We were staying right next door and didn’t want to always head into Tonsai to eat. And wow am I glad we tried this place. We were so impressed after the first night of eating here (we had the paneng and massuman curries which were delicious, followed by the best ever banana fritters) that we came back a second and a third time! Other highlight dishes were; chicken pad Thai (ask for the chilli tray to pimp it up and make it even better!) and the chicken and cashew nuts. Definitely worth a visit.

We were a family of 4, 2 children 5 + 7 years. We found the bungalows very pleasant to stay in. They are bungalows after all, plenty of room within the Seaview room for all of us. The a/c was cool, shower had hot water. You are on an island so things are all a little slower, water pressure not same as mainland. We found the long tail boats a little loud the first night but we got used to it quickly, it was ok. You grow to enjoy it!
We hired kayaks from reception daily for 150thb and snorkelling masks. A great part about this place is right out from the amazing reef! The ocean is beautiful to swim in, many many beautiful fish without any need to go from area.
You can walk to tonsi peir along a little track. We did it with kids, the first part is a bit rough but then it becomes paved.
The restaurant on site was one of our favs of the trip. All food was very tasty.
There is a mini mart with everything you could need and ATM right at reception too!! No currency exchange, you can go to town for that.
There are no lounges on the beach, maybe bring a mat if you plan to lounge on beach for long periods. There are a few shade umbrellas. We spent time between beach and our room, there were chairs on our deck.
We really enjoyed the slow pace, it’s got nice grounds.
