Detailed Reviews
This resort is in a perfect location, if you don't want to be in the middle of the town. The pick-up and drop off at the ferry were great. The beach is lovely, lovely views from the pool area, with plenty of sunbeds, poolside, for all.
The tide has a significant effect on the amount of beach available but the shallow entry into the warm sea is perfect. We spent 5 days at this resort, I tried the free scuba taster in the pool and signed up for 2 experience dives, with the dive shop next door to the resort. The experience and professionalism were outstanding, a great introduction to scuba on the real set of Finding Nemo! We also hired the resort Longtail Boat for the day, for a private tour around the islands and snorkelling adventure, in some amazing bays and beaches. The boat captain was a superb host, lunch was tasty and nothing was too much trouble. Now.... the accommodation ....... the bamboo huts are quite small, with little storage space, the aircon worked fine, and they are kept very clean and tidy, but there is literally, no soundproofing at all. The huts are also quite close together, set in Banana trees and other tropical vegetation, so listening to your neighbours using the lavatory cannot be avoided and latecomers home at night are not always the quietest. The complaints about the noise from Party Beach are understandable, however the location of the noisy bars directly across the bay is not the fault of the resort. I personally was not concerned about the music and always got off to sleep, despite it. My wife had a little more of a problem, but was probably disturbed more by people within the resort returning after a night out. Breakfast was good and the helpful staff were outstanding. The only small issue I had with the otherwise, great experience here, was that I broke a small water glass in our hut, picking up the kettle (not much space for anything), I reported the breakage at reception as there were small fragments of glass on the hut floor, to be charged 200 Baht for my error (£5) which considering the cost of living in Thailand was rather extortionate!
Overall, if you know there is no soundproofing in the rather small huts, the rest of the resort makes up for it. I would be happy to recommend this resort, as long as you understand and accept the accommodation issues.
We loved Phi Phi and were not disappointed by our choice of resort.

We have been in the hotel about 4 nights. The resort is really nice and close to the center of ko phi phi and the pool is amazing with a bar inside.
Despite this we had terrible experience at the hotel.
At our second day about 8AM they started to paint and polish the bungalows without people, because the bungalow is not isolated all the smell and the GAS came into our bungalow and my sister bungalow. The hotel answer to this problem was: DONT BE IN THE ROOM - seriously??
They didnt announced that they are going to do that, we needed to wake up from chok.
The next day it happend again! And again they didn't announced. My sister had allergic reaction and she needed to clear to the hospital.
Despite all this we enjoy the hotel facilites but the service is really bed. They ignored our complain they said we will refund with 2 nights but 8 months pass and guess what - nothing happend.
In conclusion if you are healthy go to this hotel, if not you can die there and no body will care.

Room
I adored these little beach bungalows it literally feels like paradise and the rooms are very clean but small but that’s okay we had enough space (2 people)
Hotel
The pool looks out to a private end of the beach and the pool is very lovely surrounded by palm trees and is a big pool, sometimes a struggle to get a bed. Beautiful hammock on the beach
On check in we was advised you get to use the mini bar once for a free and can use a paddle board or kyak once for free which I think is great
Location
We did not see anyone at the pier when we arrived so we tried to find it which at first was awkward but once you know where it is it’s fine, you can walk through the roads or along the beach to centre around 10-12 mins
The other reviews mention the noise I will not lie I was so shocked when we went there to sleep the first night the sound is so so loud there is ear plugs in room and smart tv and was tired from a full day so was fine but just be mindful of that.
Breakfast
Really good breakfast nice views and good options
Staff
All staff I came across were nice and friendly
I would definitely stay again.

Just returned from an amazing 2 weeks at Coco Beach Resort. From the moment you arrive at this resort you cannot help but to relax. From the sandy walkways through lush tropical palms and the cute bamboo bungalows, you realize that you have entered a little piece of paradise. The rooms are adequate in size with a stocked mini bar, AC and a safe box, but the best revelation is the well appointed bathroom with all the amenities (loved the hair conditioner) and rain shower. The staff are friendly, always ready with a smile yet unobtrusive. The resort is kept very clean and well maintained and you are provided with clean bath towels and water every day even if you have a do not disturb sign they will leave them outside your door. The pool area is beautiful with the best views. Your only problem is which way to face....towards the amazing sea view or towards the stunning mountain/jungle backdrop or perhaps which cocktail to order at the seated pool bar. We borrowed the free kayaks 3 times and it is an easy 10 minute row to Monkey Beach or a 40 minute slightly more difficult row to Nui Beach. WOW to both, well worth the effort with Nui Beach being our favourite beach on Phi Phi. The snorkeling is amazing! We also took advantage of the Spa area next to the pool and had several massages. With prices being the same as in the centre of town you would be crazy not to have one as the setting is amazing with your view of Lo Dalum Bay cannot be beaten. Yes it is noisy at night but this applies to the whole of Lo Dalum Bay not just this resort. The pros of this resort completely out weigh the negatives with the music from the bars shutting at a reasonable 1am. To be honest we managed to zone it out after the first night and did not even need the ear plugs provided. All in all an amazing stay, would recommend it to anyone and would happily go back again. Did not see anything else on Phi Phi to make me regret my decision to stay there. Easily the most picturesque resort with the most stunning location on the island!

My partner and I travelled to 5 different places/hotels during our trip to Thailand and this hotel was our favourite of all. The location is perfect, at the far end of the beach which means it's quieter at night but only a ten minute walk to all the bars and restaurants. We were met by a member of staff at the port who carried our suitcases and showed us to the hotel (10 min walk if that but such a nice touch given how hot it is over there). The little villa itself is lovely. It's compact don't get me wrong, but fully formed. Bed is SO comfortable, the bathroom is really modern/clean, the air con great and the wifi worked perfectly the whole time we were there. All the rooms have smart TV's with Netflix etc. Theres a little porch you can sit on at night surrounded by the lush green trees and bushes. The pool area is gorgeous, always loads of sun beds to lie on, the staff at the pool bar do mean cocktails and are very friendly. You can use (free of charge) the hotel kayaks to paddle round the corner to Monkey Island. The beach is directly in front of the pool too. All the food and wine/drinks we had whilst there were lush. For me, there really were no cons to this hotel. I know the bars are noisy till 1am (when all the loud music stops) but it's Phi Phi and it's part of it's charm! Even if you can hear it in the rooms it's fairly dull. Honestly, if you want a luxurious, stylish and ambient hotel in dreamy and beautiful Phi Phi, this hotel is absolutely that.

We stayed here for two nights and we were so pleased it was only two as I couldn’t stand any more. I read all the polarised reviews, especially about the noise and I thought it was people being fussy. The bamboo huts have no sound protection and the music blasts across the bay until 1am. After that we had to suffer people shouting and having parties next door until 5am. The rest of the time you can hear every conversation around you. It’s like being in a tent but much worse as the huts are so tightly packed. Rooms are tiny and you fee like you are dancing around your suitcase, banging yourself on the bamboo bed, wardrobe etc. It gets irritating after a while and you feel claustrophobic. Not helped by the fact the rooms are extremely dark. Forget shaving or putting on makeup.
Resort and rooms were also full of mosquitos and so would recommend spraying the room yourself before sleeping. Security is terrible - I needed a second key and they just gave it to me based on my room number. No check of my name or ID. I could have been anyone.
On the positive side breakfast is okay, pool food is okay, pool is nice (not clean and I would not put my head under) and location is good.
Manageable for two nights but would have had to find somewhere else to stay if it was for longer.

We stayed here for 4 nights and wished it was only 1 night we booked. We both left feeling like we had been mis-sold the hotel. We did read reviews and noticed only 1 or 2 reviews highlighting the noise which we felt they might have been sensitive.
When we arrived, we noticed we could hear all the noise of people talking and walking by outside to the point it was so clear we felt they were in the room. We did hope that this was the only noise we would hear. But right in to the night the loud music in the resort next door went on (I remember checking the phone around 1am and it still going). Hotels policy is to wear earplugs.
The rooms are cute, little wooden shacks, and have sufficient space for what you would need. The apartment does seem clean but there is a problem with ants. We had to ask for spray on several occasions to chase them out.
The bathroom is open to natural elements so keeping the bathroom door is a must if you want to keep your room cool. You are only given one key so when your out, the poor insulation means there is no stopping the room becoming a sauna.
Our safe also stopped working, turns out a battery needed changed but the hotel didn’t seem to see the urgency of this or understand that I wanted to be in when they fixed it. Left me waiting over an hour to get it repaired.
We booked this trip as part of our honeymoon and felt the staff could not care less that it was, we did email in advance but there was no reply and when we checked in we weren’t congratulated like all the other hotels we stayed with. When we complained about the issues we found, the reception staff made me feel pretty unwelcome and was rather dismissive that the noise was next door and they couldn’t do anything about it. What makes it worse when I highlighted the concerns of ants and noise she smirked at it - rather unprofessional but also shows that she is aware of the problem.
In our opinion, the hotel would have been rated higher considering breakfast was great, pool area is fabulous, the style of the resort is incredible but we feel that not being able to sleep for 4 nights and the attitude of reception ruined the trip.

This hotel is beautiful, in a great location and the free kayaks (definitely go to monkey beach) and happy hour etc make it a really enjoyable place to be.
However, the bamboo huts, whilst they look incredible were not as we had hoped. When we pulled back the covers on the first night our room was covered in ants, hundreds of them. I complained to reception and they were quite rude and told me we were in a hut on an island, what did we expect. We had to grin and bear it and go to sleep!
The next day, we removed all of the ants as best as we could and had a day out. When we returned to get ready for dinner I would genuinely say there were thousands of ants in our room. I took photos and visited reception again, they said there must be a problem and offered to swap our room.
We moved to a clean room that night and unfortunately, the next morning woke up to plenty of ants once again. I again went back to reception, said I understand there will be some bugs but it did not feel right that there were so many, not in the bed!! I asked to talk to the manager as we had paid a lot of money to stay there (comparably more than any other hotel on our Thailand trip, including bangkok). 3-4 hours later, a fruit plate was delivered to our ant infested room by way of an apology!!
Whilst we appreciated the gesture, we had wanted a solution to reduce the number of ants, not increase them.
All in all we loved the phi phi islands and we did enjoy our stay, but I can’t say I slept well amongst our friends or felt the rooms were clean enough for me to return!
I did try to talk to the manager a few times throughout the stay and never had any luck, so at risk of receiving another fruit plate, we put it down to bad luck and made the most of our 3 night stay.

Staying at this resort was such an amazing experience. So gorgeous, and looked even better than the pictures. The beach wasn't as nice, but the area and pool was amazing. Bungalow's a bit small, so don't bring big suitcases. (we just had small backbacks). The hotel picks up and delivers the luggage for you.
Also don't expect it to be soundproof, since it's bungalow's.
In other reviews we saw some complaints about noise, and the service. There were alot of noise from 9pm- 2am, because of clubs on the beach around 1km away! But you will most likely hear the noise from the clubs on almost every hotel in Phi Phi Don. So just keep this in mind before you decide if you want to stay overnight at this island. The hotel would be even better if it was only adults hotel, because there were alot of kids.
Also experienced good service! Was a bit worried that there would be spiders or snakes here, but they use sprays so they stay away.
You can also borrow kayaks for 1 hour every day for free. (From 8am-5pm) Takes just 10-15 min to monkey beach. And they have outdoor movies every night, which was cool.
You can borrow towels every day, but have to bring them back before the pool closes at 10pm. We could also use the area before check in and after check out. Huge plus.

Just stayed here for two nights with a friend and thought we made the right choice. An easy 10 minute walk to the main downtown area and Tonsai pier where the ferry drop off is (we used Andaman Wave Traveler for speedboat and would also recommend).
Great front desk and easy check in process. Room comfortable and cute yet very small. We were creative and used the little stools to prop up our luggage and have a makeshift luggage rack.
Pool was nice with a swim up bar and perfect temperature with beach views. The breakfast was near the pool and also provided similar views. The breakfast was plentiful with custom made omelets and Thai food options. There were plenty of protein options including roasted chicken and pork.
Although there is no gym, you can get a day pass at the Banyan Villa resort for 250 Baht. Felt lively and full despite the pandemic, which was refreshing.

It is coming from a club/bar that is a decent distance away. Again, it will keep you awake until 0200.
Hi, it is about 10mins walk from the pier on a flat path. Near to the hotel the path is covered with sand but still flat.
Yes there was...I never used it but yes!!
I think the garden villa may be further back, close to where we stayed. All in all, we preferred staying in a row of huts further back away from the noise of the pool and bar. I think we were in 502 (if I’m remembering correctly)
