Detailed Reviews
we were recommended from a friend to stay there. but the bungalow is lower then our expectation. it is really small, not much space inside, just 2 twin beds and a little space for walk to the bathroom. the room is quite dark as they use dark red wood for wall, floor and ceiling, a compact bathroom with a very strong water gun that must be careful if you want to use it, not convenice as no plug near your bed to plug in but there are a few plugs opposite the bed and bathroom. the positive points are terrace in front of the room and for easy people just sitting on the beach in front of the hotel

All dark wood and very grounding traditional thai bungalows. The views to the beach from the front ones are bliss! The rest are all very close so don’t expect much privacy on your deck.
Clever design. Simple. Affordable. Good wifi, water, aircon. No daily service.
There’s rooms at the back that look cool and cheaper than the huts. I’d stay in them if not absolute front.
The bed was crazy hard, but it may have just been mine. No top sheet, odd, just 2 Chelsea blankets. Please change that if the lender reads this.
Neighbour told us on our last day that the owner has a menu that you can order from and have delivered!!! Wish we knew that earlier as the walk to main part is 20 mins.
Besides all that. BLISS to walk onto the beach and swim or lay on their beach chairs.

A basic hotel but was as expected based on the information on booking.com website.
Room was basic family room of 1 double and 3 single beds, bathroom had shower over toilet although a spacious room but water was always hot so can’t complain.
Location great, close to the beach and quieter bed of the beach. Bars and cafes close by.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Found a cockroach in our bed, shower and tap water kept cutting out and no wifi. Host was lovely and very nice location such a shame. Would give more stars if not for very basic hygiene issues. No bedside lamps or sockets near the bed too.

Cute little bungalows in the quiet end of Phi Phi. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but it was great! Quiet, clean enough (it's literally on the sand so expect lots of sand!) & good air con. It's a decent walk to the beach party area but that didn't bother us. During the day lots of day trip speed boats land near the resort but if you get up early you basically have the beach to yourself. Would stay again!

I would recommend avoiding the Sand Sea view at all cost's, this however is to be ignored if you enjoy having cockroaches constantly climbing up the sink plug hole, a room that is modelled on a prison cell and bed linen that consists of a beach towel, promised a sea view resulting in the view of the reception area which doubled as the laundry drop.
Being a 22 year old male i am obviously not going to be too fussy regarding room standards and luxury however this hotel made me feel disgusting.
We booked our room though the internet having viewed many of the pictures of the glorious island, the hotel looked amazing with stunning views and elegant rooms we thought we had hit the jackpot paying only 4500 Baht for 3 nights (£88- roughly). We could not have been more wrong, the first words to come out of our mouths where "the web designer needs a medal', as it was nothing like the pictures.
Upon reflection we should never have stayed there considering the rooms we had booked 6 months in advance were not available, this was only made aware to us upon arrival. The person at the reception (if you would even call it a reception, doubling as the laundry drop) had no idea that we had made a booking due to no records being kept.
We were offered one deluxe room and one sea view, both however i would not use either the words Deluxe or Seaview. The manager who never thought it was appropriate to wear more than boxer shorts showed us to our rooms eventually after complaining that our reserved rooms where not available, he proceeded to show us around the room and told us to ensure to use the room safe ( which was not even bolted down) due to the recent number of burglaries at the hotel.
We didn't think at this point that it would get any worse however we couldn't have been more wrong, the room was a disgusting with staines on the walls and bed, the shower and toilet where beside each other with no divide so when taking a shower you would be touching the toilet. The shower is the only place i have ever been in the world where i came out of the shower dirtier and smellier than i went in. The water had a stagnant smell and was a dark yellow/brown colour, i can understand it is a remote island however in all the other establishments we visited there water was perfect.
The next problem we had was that there was no bed linen provided, you were expected to sleep with no sheets or bed duvet/sheet and although Thailand is very hot, in the earlier hours of the morning it can get quite chilly, we had to resort to using our beach towels.
It was at this point i almost stormed out of the place had it not been for the fact you were required to pay upfront, also complaints and any requests would be useless seeing as the front desk was manned by non english speaking children ( managers children approx 15yo).
This put a downer on my trip to Koh Phi Phi which is a beautiful island and resulted in me deciding to leave a day early on the boat and checking into a nicer hotel in Phuket which was well deserved.
It is of my opinion that anyone who wishes to stay here during high season and required to pay upwards of 2000 Baht a night would have a better and most likely more hygienic time sleeping on the beach.
I would not return to the Phi Phi Sand Sea View hotel if you paid me too. Or dont listen to my advice and i guarantee you will regret it
Avoid !!!

The location of this place is off the beaten path, which is great. The beach is accessible but there are dozens and dozens of boats that park there so you cant actually go in the water without going between boats which is kind of scary-- not the bad part about this place.
The first night-- we dropped our bags off and went to explore. We came back and there was a HUGE pile of dung in our shower area. Clearly this can be chalked up to a critter but with the size of it.. we are talking about a baby dinosaur here. Ok, fine, we are in the jungle; we will live. OK, so we lay down in the bed only to find that the roof has TONS of intentional cracks in them (I assume because of the heat). I am not talking about quarter-sized cracks, I am talking about half your roof isn't connected. Oh my, the animals that can get through those cracks was unnerving to say the least. Ok, shut your eyes and try not to think about the creepy crawlers roaming around in your room at night.
Day two- get me out of this room it gives me the heebie jeebies. Spent the day on the other side of the island- it was great. We get back, we go to bed, we wake up to the neighbor screaming... APPARENTLY, there was a LOCAL passed out in his bed. What the..??? He goes and grabs management where they 1) tell random dude to leave 2) inform the guest that he's a local and it happens...(um, what?); the doors are easy to open even when they are locked 3) will not give him another room even though the guy is extremely upset (uh, rightfully so). They insist that he goes to bed and they will deal with it later.
In the pictures, the rooms look light and tropical-- must have used a fantastic camera filter because when you get there they are SO dark. Dark and creepy. Never, ever, frickin ever, again. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place.

Staying at this place was the worst experience I had in 3 months travelling Africa and Asia. Walking into the room it seemed basic but ok. After going to sleep bed bugs crawled from under the mattress to attack me. I killed a few hoping that was it but it wasn't. I woke up the owner around midnight and asked for a room change - after having to argue that I wanted a new room TONIGHT not tomorrow he put me in a different room. This room ALSO had bed bugs. Pictures attached.
Never ever stay here.
