We left Phi Phi delighted with this hotel and thinking that we couldn't have chosen better.
Great room, spacious, very clean. Super comfortable bed, although the pillows are huge, too much if you are used to them being smaller or lower. Very quiet air conditioning, which is appreciated. The shower is good but the hot water is tricky, at least in our room you had to open the tap a little to get it to heat up. Correct amenities, hotel hair dryer (weak like everyone else), one towel per person that was changed every day, and a bottle of insecticide.
The breakfast is great, with original and very delicious things, a dish to choose from (very good) and a very rich buffet. You have to enter the dining room barefoot and it is super clean.
Our room had direct access to the pool and then the beach, a luxury. On the terrace of the room there are two chairs and a sun lounger, and also a fan that comes in handy. The pool is not much, it is a jacuzzi type and is suitable for sitting (otherwise the water reaches your knees), but it does not matter much since the beach is 20 meters away. To highlight, as always, the service. It is incredible, wonderful people, super helpful and very very pleasant at all times, everyone is lovely, the people at the bar, the people in the dining room, the people who tidied up the garden, the people at the reception, the cleaning people and the people who took your suitcases to the ferry. All without exception.
The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the ferry and has a luggage pick-up and drop-off service.
The area is super quiet, it is the penultimate hotel on the beach (Ton Sai), and in the late afternoon there are almost no people. Of course, if you are looking for party and movement, it is not your area. But it is perfect for having dinner and walking around the town and then going to rest without a single noise. To repeat in the future, without any doubt.

When you arrive you get a lovely warm welcome with a welcome drink and cold towel. The team are all so welcoming and always give you a smile.

The rooms are cosy but perfect. We were only there 3 nights. I can understand any longer there is limited space to hang clothes etc.
the mini bar prices are the same as 7/11 which was perfect.
Clean towels every day and the room made up.

Breakfast was fab with your choice of egg and proper machine coffee and then choice of pastries etc. if anything was finished you just had to ask.

Our balcony had a swing which was absolutely perfect with great outdoor space.

There is a jacuzzi, we didn’t use it but it seemed to be busy as the sun was going down people enjoying it.

The private loungers on the beach are very comfortable and you see the staff sweeping the area several times during the day. The area is perfect right on the sea front and you get a couple of hours shade from the large tree.
The area is nice and quiet away from all the crazy phi phi parties but a short distance should that take your fancy.

Our ferry to arrive didn’t tie in with the bell hot service but it did on departure and that was excellent to save us lugging the cases.

The bathroom is technically outside. Abit odd and I was constantly worried about what creatures may be joining me but eventually it became fun and enjoyable obviously it’s totally private and secure.

The staff always seem to be cleaning the area. They are obviously proud of their hotel and land and rightly so it’s beautiful and very well maintained.
The little kid on his bike is adorable I assume one of the staffs but he was very well behaved and very polite and always said hello/bye and waved & smiled -a credit to his parents.

Perfect location perfection hotel we most certainly will recommend and return

This was the second time staying at Mama Beach. The hotel is small and right on the beach . The staff here are exceptional and are always smiling and happy & very hardworking
The hotel sits at the end of the bay away from the hustle & noise of the centre of Phi Phi it’s around a 8 minute walk to the larger selection of restaurants and bars.
There is a bar on the beach which serves drinks and also food during the day.
The breakfast has a wide selection of food options, eggs , yogurt, fruits and pastries. Juices , tea & coffee etc…
The rooms are cleaned daily and your given fresh towels daily. They have air con and a fan inside and a one on the terrace . We had a swinging bench seat on ours along with a longer and chair. The bed is large and very comfortable.
All in all a perfect place to spend a few days.

3 star hotel,
Positive points Good location and views
Negatives; The bed is super uncomfortable, it is in poor condition, the mattress sags, a shame, the least one wants is a place where you can rest well,
The bathrooms: somewhat small, they should modernize, put a screen so that the water from the shower does not run, I understand we are on an island, but for the number of tourists they receive throughout the island, they should improve the amenities, it is the minimum, the breakfast I don't know yet, I hope at least that's better

Stayed for 3N. Booked directly with them for Grand View room.
Very very relaxing & idyllic stay.
Very comfortable bed & pillows.
Good breakfast. Cramped shower area.
You can get coke/beer/water from mini bar in your room for same price as 7-11. Niice.
Place gives a +ve vibe.
Will definitely stay here once we are back.

Very nice hotel, well located away from the hustle and bustle but close to a nice permanent market, small private beach. Well appointed room, very varied breakfast and quality. Very nice welcome. A restaurant on site, a nice spa available, toiletries in the bathroom (even after shampooing!), an address to return to!

we end our vacation with the most beautiful hotel
ideally located a little out of the way but 5 minutes walk from the center, very large room with sea view, breakfast with sea view and variety, the hosts are all incredibly kind and helpful! massage facing the sea, swimming pool with sea view! the best what
few boats park on this side because it is a private beach.
Honestly it's a dream hotel
loan of kayak and snorkel mask to go diving nearby
we are a 15 minute paddle from monkey beach
At low tide, you can walk around and see all the corals and clams right on the shore!
we loved it!

Beautiful residence in a complex on two floors. We were assigned a room with a terrace on the first floor overlooking the ocean, the gardens and the beach with private sun loungers. Friendly staff, very shrewd and present. Great breakfast, with a variety of pastries and fruit.

The staff were unbelievably kind and sweet- we loved our stay here. The beach was gorgeous and quiet and I loved the swinging chairs at the bar. The food was amazing and the location is perfect- 15mins away from restaurants and bars so it’s quiet at night and 10 minutes from the pier. The hotel itself was gorgeous too. Monkeys came onto the beach and the highlight of my stay was watching the staff chase them away- it was hilarious to watch. Only downsides is that the cocktails were a little expensive compared to other places and it would be nice to have either bigger bottles of water in the room or more of them. Will definitely stay here if I’m back on the island!

Let me first counter the recent reviews that i just read about quality of this excellent hotel. I am an Indian, so to say only french posting good reviews is a false allegation. The hotel deserves all the accollades that have been posted by various other guests. In Phi Phi, real estate is very limited, so its justified that small rooms are the norm. However, if i compare with other such accomodation in Phi Phi, these are spacious enough for a comfortable stay. Please be aware that in such a destination, very few hours are spent indoors,so owners do not focus on large spaces of rooms, thus reducing their inventory, and of course income. The cost is justified due to remote location of the island, and Mama beach residence gives full value for it. Neat and clean and extremely well maintained, this resort is a hidden gem. I would come here again....and again. The location is bang on the beach and its compactness adds to the quaintness of the resort. The biggest add-on is the short distance (7mts walk) to main town and pier. The so called "open air bathroom" is actually a very clever way of ventilation without compromising the privacy and it ensures the bathroom will never stink, a major cause of rejection by guests while selecting hotels. The lack of a swimming pool is compensated by a big jacuzzi. The service is great and staff is friendly. Breakfast is limited but then it is enough for filling ones stomach, as it offers everything that is needed in a breakfast meal. The owner is very conscious about smallest of details and is there to take care of guests. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, and massage was also very good. Definitely worth a stay. The comfort sea view rooms have wonderful view.
