The Phi Phi Holiday Resort offers a stunning beachfront location that guests find picturesque and secluded, though the limited sunbeds and pricing can detract from the experience. While some travelers appreciate the views and proximity to the beach, the resort's outdated atmosphere and amenities have not gone unnoticed. Opinions on the value and room conditions are mixed, with several guests finding services overpriced and rooms in need of a refresh.
Despite daily cleaning, cleanliness levels fluctuate and certain items appear worn. Moreover, experiences with the staff range from friendly to inefficient, adding to the resort's inconsistent reputation.

Arrived via speedboat transfer from Phuket and the moment we arrived we were gobsmacked. The beach is beautiful. We got a beachfront bungalow and the room was fine. The shower was in need of being updated as well as the bathroom but it worked perfectly and served its purpose. Room was clean and tidy. The grounds were fantastic and this is where the hotel shines. The sunset bar is awesome to see the sun set. The beach in the morning is amazing to see the sun rise. The beach for the whole other time is just paradise. Chill and relax on one of the swings or a hammock or go for a nice swim. There’s a small reef to swim and snorkel and observe fish. You can rent a kayak for 150 Baht a hour. We found that being on the north side of the island and being isolated from Tonsai that prices in the area around and in the hotel are high and the most expensive of our stay in Thailand. We ate at the hotel buffet in the evening which was very good and offered lots of variety as well as the breakfast did. Had a amazing stay.

We were very impressed with our stay here. We stayed here for our honeymoon after stops in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. This was what we needed after visiting those busier destinations. We were able to just relax and enjoy the location. Hotel is in a remote area of the Islands that requires about an hour speedboat that you coordinate very easily through the hotel. We had issues with our flights and the hotel worked with us to ensure we would make it to the hotel. Thank You so much!
We booked a villa with a private pool and we spent a lot of our time enjoying our privacy and loved it. The technology they have incorporated with the app allowed us to track if our room had been cleaned and to order room service at our finger tips.
Make sure you book a long tail island tour to visit Monkey Beach, The Beach and other spots.

We spent Christmas and New Year here and were delighted with our stay.
From the moment the ferry arrived and the HI tractor appeared to take us on a 5 minute journey along the beach to the hotel, we were impressed with the service, the staff, their calm approach and their attention to detail
Our sunset view room with private pool was gorgeous. I’m torn between the privacy and quiet of our room up the hill and choosing a beach front room to see that beautiful turquoise sea at every opportunity.
Loved the different facilities in the resort. My favourite was the Sunset bar and pool near us, hosted by Noon who is an excellent ambassador for HI. As is Becky who works in the Spa, so good at her job and so nice.
My only build is a minor one and concerns the sun beds on the beach. They were often left unused but with towels on them, so people wanting a bed stayed away from them. Little sunbed sign advising people if beds are unused they will be used for others would help.
In summary - a definite recommendation. It was a fab time in an exceptionally well run resort.

Most of the hotel staff acts as if they are doing a favour to you. Starting with the receptionists.
When we arrived they had to change the room because it was 1 bed instead of 2, and they send us to another 1 bed room. Finally (after more than 1,5 hours and after 3 trials) they separated the bed into 2 very small beds in which we stayed.
Staff at the beach always resting and made a big effort to deliver the towels (¿?)
No entertainment in the hotel (only kayak or thai language lessons). An advise: they dont wait for you 5 minutes for kayaking, so try to be several minutes before 5 p.m.!!
On the first morning we found a nice surprise in the bathroom: a cockroach!!
Last night We ordered 1 pizza through the app (handygo) they say we have to use for everything , it was never delivered. Luckily we didnt get charged for it! But you really couldnt use the app for anything, very unuseful.
In summary dont recommend at all this hotel. One of the worst ever.

Stayed at a garden bungalow for 2 nights.
the room we booked was just okay but I was so shocked by the awfully dated and turning partially yellow bathroom.
When I requested changing it to a room with a renovated bathroom, a staff told me that all of ( both beach and garden ) bungalows in this resort have the same type of old bathrooms, only suites on top of the hill side have updated new ones. Although I have done a lot of research about the resort beforehand, I couldn’t find out the fact that old bathrooms are still there for use. It could be my fault to book the room in the hotel but at the same time I can’t help thinking the level of facility is not acceptable in any 4stars hotel even in a small island.
Secondly, when we asked for mosquito coils because there were a lot of in our room, they said they didn’t have it.after that, however,we saw it in the sunset bar and then we asked the staff to bring it to our room again. Surprisingly, their answer was the same. I didn’t understand why they couldn’t give it to our room.
Another problem we had was the broken air conditioning in our room. It ‘worked ‘but couldn’t adjust temperature, we didn’t ask for fixing it because our expectations towards the hotel was already so low. but that was a huge mistake, as the result of this, our daughter got throat pain badly.
Anyway, The beach in front of the resort is beautiful. It’s worthwhile visiting the wonderful islands. we’ll come back again but not this resort, that’s for sure.

I have been to most of the island across Thailand. Holiday inn Phi Phi is top north beach front resort locations. 3 steps from our beachfront bungalow to clear white sand with turquoise sea water which we could never find in any island / places in Thailand. Glad that finally i found this place after 6th times visit to Phi Phi. Location is a bit longer journey than Tonsai or Longbeach but it worth to come. We also found authentic Thai food in their international restaurants which we repeats 3 times in our 2 nights stayed. Noi cooked us a very impressed Tom Kha Gai / Pad Prik Kaeng which rare to find the taste even in local restaurant and as local Thai we have voted that her Tom Kha Gai is one of the best in our life :-) she made our stayed even more pleasant. We will be back for sure!!!!!

Relies totally on the setting, which is spectacular.
The service is shoddy and no one cares - it wouldn’t take anything to improve it but clearly that may cost IHG something. There aren’t enough sunbeds (which aren’t broken and requires trudging up and down the beach to drag one to your location), and the rooms are shabby and tired. The food is mediocre at best.
Rather than expanding they would be better off investing in what they have, including the staff.
Also please ban drones (the clue is in the name).
Saving grace is the beautiful beach (and restaurants outside hotel in beach) and fabulous setting; and don’t the Holiday Inn know it.

While no longer affiliated with IHG the Phi Phi Holiday Resort has maintained its charm, efficiency and kindness. The location on what is probably the best beach in Phi Phi would be hard to beat, we received excellent service throughout our almost 3-weeks stay from everyone we interacted with and enjoyed the superb, literally out of this world, location.
Khun Nat and Khun Jay at the reception were always kind and helpful, Khun Joy and Khun Jen took special care of us on their day off and we had a wonderful time at Nui beach in the company of their group.
Khun Add regularly made sure all our needs were met and arranged some extra attentions (as did Khun Jen who graciously offered us a gift), Khun Bell and Khun Mon made sure we were well fed and taken care of, Khun Supphanet made everything work well, while Khun Yupa (Tik) took great care of our room.
Overall we could not have asked for more and everything was better than we expected.
Looking forward to coming back soon to paradise. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing getaway to HI Phi Phi, our expectations weren’t very high but it turned out great. Ped greeted us at the pier in Phuket and was so friendly and helpful. We received an upgrade to a beachfront bungalow due to status with HI and it was so nice!
Breakfast you can pay 400 baht per person per day but you have to pay for it on arrival and purchase for every day of your stay. The breakfast buffet was huge and had a wide variety of items so we felt it was a good value.
Aside from breakfast we only had a couple snacks at the hotel and drinks as they were pretty overpriced. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the resort that are much more reasonably priced and very delicious.
We had couples massage and the spa was nice and relaxing, the girls did a great job.
The activities at the hotel seemed a little overpriced, we did take advantage of a few. However, there are many long tail boats outside the resort and you can just walk up to them and get a great deal. We took a 4 hr fishing and snorkeling trip for 1000 baht less than what the hotel wanted for just a fishing trip.
You could get a long tail to Tonsai village for 800 baht during the day (could likely negotiate a better deal) we also did an evening trip to see the nightlife and they wanted 2000 to take us there and back from 6pm-midnight.
We would definitely go back!

Phi Phi Island is an excellent island in Thailand. This resort is located in the best part of the island since it is far from the party side of the island and the beach has white sand with the beautiful color of the water. This part of the island is very natural and the resort match perfectly in this context. There are also quite a few places where you can walk on the sand with no shoes to have lunch and dinner and this allows you to enjoy at best your barefoot vacation! The best of this resort is the view you have from your bungalow and the few walks you need to swim from your room on a paradise beach.
Also, we were very pleased with the prompt response from the Front Office Manager Nawarat Pew-on. While we had a minor issue, she was able to fix it immediately to allow us to enjoy in full our vacation. We definitely recommend this place if you a looking for a place where you can turn off your smartphone and relax away from your busy life in a tropical paradise.

We travelled with TUI in Dec 2022 and the transfers were seamless!
They pick you up from the airport, take you to the port, then you get the ferry over to Phi Phi where a speedboat will collect you and take you to the hotel.
Same on the way back... no problem whatsoever ! Enjoy .. we are also there at the start of December :)
I’m not sure. Better to ask the hotel authorities.
rooms at sunset side of the property, namely sunset pool villa and others are nicest.ocean front villa are also good option.
