Located close to all the action, the pier, travel kiosks, restaurants, clothes shops etc.
During my pandemic affected visit many bars and restaurants were closed. Mon. to Fri. only private boat trips available.
Reception staff friendly and cheerful.
I decided to stay in a Garden Wing room after reading the Banyan Wing rooms and walkways are timber flooring. The Garden Wing is at the rear of property so you have to walk through the Banyan Wing. Quiet time is guaranteed.
My room (ground floor) was large and modern looking. Quiet aircon worked well, comfortable bed with clean linen, wardrobe with hanging space, no shelving for clothes but I used the 2 chairs and top of the safe.
The TV had many channels but only one dedicated english being Aljarzeera.
Seperate shower recess with good hot water and pressure. You know you have hit the big time when your basin has hot water, especially on an island.
The large balcony area has table and chairs plus clothes rack. Of course it overlooks beds of plants. Be aware that mozzies are aplenty. I had my room sprayed when I checked in to my room and they hang around the balcony.
My first breakfast was selecting from 3 options which I put down to lack of guests but following mornings it was a decent buffet setup. My breakfast enabled me to go through the day until dinner time.
The pool was maintained every day hoence the water nice and clear. I take the point from another reviewer re the lack of sunloungers. Must have been fun before the pandemic came along.
As a solo traveler my only disappointment was with the TV but overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Since Koh Phi Phi doesn't allow any vehicles on the island, it is good to have a resort that is at walking distance from the pier. If you call them a day earlier and inform them your arrival time, they send a person to get your luggage. The swimming pool is small but the resort is across the beach and the restaurant is next to the beach. It looks more like a crowded place sometimes and breakfast has limited vegetarian options.

A lovely hotel, just 4 mins walk from Tonsai Pier. We chose a garden facing balcony room, with view of the pool too. We were not really bothered by mosquitoes as we always kept the balcony windows as well as net partitions closed. The rooms were extremely silent with no noise from adjacent rooms. The Daikin split AC was also extremely efficient & silent. Breakfast was nice with an old lovely lady making excellent oval omlettes. Other stuff was also very good. We were surrounded by so many eateries that we were spoilt for choice. Would readily stay again.

A lovely hotel, with fabulous views overlooking the sea for breakfast. A great location, quiet enough from the bars and clubs but walking distance to everything you need (including the pier). Staff were polite and friendly, and because we were getting a late boat out they let us leave our luggage with reception and shower in the gym before leaving the island. Would 100% recommend.

The worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life.
The place unfortunately does not offer what they charge for the daily rate. It's old, somehow the rooms have dirty floors and wooden floors that make noise. The bed is hard, we asked to change the room or mattress and they informed me that all the rooms were the same. I asked to cancel the reservations for the additional days, as we would only stay one night, and they said they could not issue a refund if we left and that my agency should call the central number to arrange it. The agency called several times without getting anything.
The next morning I spoke to the manager and she told me the same thing, but at least she offered to put a Topper on the mattress, and we ended up agreeing to stay so as not to lose money.
Breakfast late, which is bad for those who have early scheduled tours. It was supposed to start at 6:30am but it was late (6:42am on the first day, and 6:50am on the second day) and they didn't even let us serve what was pre-prepared before that - communication is terrible as they speak very little English (but we realized that this is general in the region).

The only good thing is the location. The worst part was on the last night, when cleaning the room they left 2 large towels and 1 small one on the bed, we didn't complain because we were using the small ones. When leaving, however, we left our bags at checkout at 6:00 am (we had a short trip at 6:30 am) and when we returned our bags were not there. Then the receptionist said that they kept our bags because during cleaning they were missing a small towel (which they didn't leave in the room the day before) and asked us to pay or open our bags. As I tried to explain that they didn't leave the towel but they didn't understand, we decided on the bags (which were already organized) and I showed that I didn't have anything, and even then she said that we had to pay 250 baht and "if we found the towel later" we could send it to the hotel and ask for a refund.

With our boat about to leave I decided to pay, I asked for a receipt and I will try to resolve it with the travel agency. But it was definitely one of the worst accommodation experiences I've ever had in all my years traveling. Avoid this hotel with all your might.

The agency called several times and spent a lot of time on the phone with the intermediary agency without getting anything.
The next morning I spoke to the manager and she told me the same thing, but at least she offered to put a Topper on the mattress, and we ended up agreeing to stay so as not to lose money.
Little did we know that this was just the beginning of the problems. I booked the hotel because it was next to the pier as there was a diving course at 7am on two days, and on those days the coffee that was supposed to start at 6:30am was late (6:42am on the first day, and on the second day 6:50am) and it wasn't They don't even let us serve what is pre-prepared beforehand - communication is terrible as they speak very little English (but this is common in the region). In short, I barely had time to eat.

The hotel is really well located, but the rooms are very old, dark and dirty (the floor is completely dusty).

The best surprise was on the last night, when cleaning the room they left 2 large towels and 1 small one on the bed, we didn't complain because we were using the small ones. When leaving, however, we left our bags at checkout at 6:00 am (we had a short trip at 6:30 am) and when we returned our bags were not there. Stayed here for 3 nights whilst travelling for 2 weeks around Thailand.

I don’t know how I feel about this hotel.

The pool is stunning. The location is spot on. The reception staff are lovely.

The experience though, felt dampened by the room. The bed was rock solid and so were the pillows. The air con was rubbish and barely cooled the room down… If aircon is advertised, it should at least cool the room down to a reasonable temperature.

I can almost overlook it as we used the hotel as base for the 3 days, but, I would have been really disappointed if I had planned on spending a lot of time in the hotel.

We made 2 separate bookings because our room was not available for 1st night. We checked out the next day of our 1st room at 7am and went on a half day boat ride, we came back at 1pm and we still had to wait past 1pm before our second room was made available even though we had stayed a previous night. The desk lady argued with us. but what really got me angry is we broke a coffee cup and they charged us a ridiculous amount of 500 baht, which amounts to over 20$ CAD. That cup was worth no more then 2 dollars. Accidents happen, in my country they wouldn't even bother to charge for a broken cup. This is outright abuse. If you book this hotel, don't break a cup or anything else for that matter or they'll take you to the cleaners for it. This is not good service.

Otherwise the rooms are nice and so is the premise but they really have to improve service and not make a fuss for a damn cup of coffee. It took them 2 minutes to find out the cup was broken, but had us wait past 1pm for our 2nd room, goes to show where their priorities are.

Somewhat disappointed

This was probably the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. There is one positive-It is in a good location. The rest Is a nightmare and we only stayed one night … losing money for a pre paid room, but at least salvaging our holiday. The room was filthy ! The mattress cover had a dried blood stain. The filthy shower did not drain, the toilet leaked and smells and the rest of the room was dated. Photos are pretty deceiving too! We expected a decent pool area… there are only 7 sun loungers!!! When I explained why I was checking out early the staff said that
Housekeeping checks the room so bedding couldn’t be stained. So basically called me a liar! Head housekeeper accompanied me to the room so I could ‘prove’ my point. She shrugged her shoulders and said ‘well I missed that’ still no apology! I asked to speak with the manager but told she was in Bkk. I asked to speak with a supervisor but told there isn’t one. An apology would have helped but that certainly wasn’t offered. Disgusting room and service!

The location of this property is ideal if you want to be in the heart of the action at Tonsai. The property has a charming 1980s feel to it. The pool is of concern and a serious accident waiting to happen! No support rail into the pool and the support was are chipped so difficult to hold on to! In fact some people thought the diving boards were the only way in! The pool floor is starting to submerge further and goes soft under your feet in the middle which feels odd and somewhat concerning. The tiled area surrounding the pool is also a health and safety hazard and very slippery. The bedrooms are dark and dreary the furniture old and tatty with room facilities average at vest! On a positive note breakfast was good and staff friendly. With some investment and TLC this property has major potential.

The garden rooms face the pool. We had a first floor room facing the pool. There was no noise. I would think there would be more noise not facing the pool as you’re closer to the party scene.
