Was surprised they have a quite large infinity pool with stunning sea view and mountain view. Didn’t notice that when I booked. It is an old resort with low price so don’t expect neat garden like in luxury resorts. Paid for a Family Room for 3 with Trip.com slightly over 1,200 Baht and got room D5 with a large bed and a small bed. Quite ok with everything we need: private large balcony with partly seaview, aircon which worked, large bathroom, 3 bottles of water, I can’t remember if there was an electric kettle or not, small refrigerator, rack to hang clothes in the room, etc. Staff are Burmese people. The lady Receptionist was quick to check us in. The male staff went quickly to our room when I said the aircon didn’t work. He just inserted the key holder into the socket again and the room had electricity. Check-out was smooth. The Reception lady painted the walls near the pool and she said bye to us with a smile.

True that people party until very late at night at the beach nearby and they have loud music and fire dance. That doesn’t bother me because I know Phi Phi is very touristy and this resort is not far from that party zone. I wish to come back to swim in their pool again. Water was not cold in October.

We changed room upon arrival because of dirt, dead mosquitoes etc but the second room was just as dirty on the floor and in the bathroom.
The bed looked clean.

We arrived late and next day we had booked a tour early, so we ended up staying 2 nights as booked.

Both nights there was music from the beach bars and dance places til 3 am rolling across the water and up the hill, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep here.

The pool area is situated beautifully as you can see in most pictures and the price for a room fairly low. We think that’s why some give it a good review.
However we will find other accommodation.

Set a 15 minute walk from Ton Sai Pier looking onto Loh Dalem Beach, this resort is rather dated and fraying at the edges but worth a stay. Bungalows are set into the hillside within a private resort. Good sized, but shabby, bungalow had private balcony, aircon and good WiFi. The bathroom was more of a wet room - don’t look at the electrics or plumbing too closely! But the highlight is the infinity pool at the front of the resort overlooking the beach and bay. Unfortunately when I stayed it was being used by the collocated dive school each morning until around 11am. The adjacent ‘restaurant’ serves simple breakfast and simple, reasonably priced food and drinks till around 5pm. It’s a 5 minute walk to the mayhem of Ton Sai village and you don’t need to leave the resort at all to enjoy the music from the beach clubs which will keep you entertained till 4am each morning at no extra cost other than to your accumulated fatigue since arriving in Phuket. If you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge be prepared to pay in cash in full on check-in. I’ve read other reviews of this place saying it’s a hidden gem and as I’d never been to Phi Phi before they may be correct. I’d stay again for the location, privacy and that pool alone.

We arrive after a long ferry ride, have to check into our pre-booked hotel and are asked to wait when we arrive at reception. We therefore lie by the pool and are subsequently contacted by the receptionist who says we have to book a room elsewhere. ALL hotels are fully booked on the whole island and we are therefore offered to sleep by the pool on the first night. We talk to other people staying at the hotel and it turns out that it happened three times on the same day. A couple and a family have received the same message. I spend several hours talking to hotels.com to find alternatives and the only offer they can come up with is at some hostel 23 km away from phi phi islands. It's dark, the ferries don't sail anymore today and it's too risky to sail with a longtail boat in the dark over the open sea - extremely bad!!!!

“Avoid Phi Phi View Point Resort – Misleading and unacceptable standard!”
My wife and I booked a bungalow at Phi Phi View Point Resort through Hotels.com. Based on the pictures, we expected a cozy and well-kept accommodation, but what we met was a disaster.

Here are some of the problems we experienced:
1. Insects in the room – We had mosquitoes, ants and spiders in the bungalow, which made it impossible to feel comfortable.
2. The fridge didn’t work – It was hot and useless.
3. Dirty toilet and disgusting shower – The toilet was unhygienic and the shower was full of rust.
4. Door locks that did not work – We felt unsafe because the door could not be locked properly.
5. The floor had large gaps – We could see straight down to the ground under the bungalow, which made it feel unsafe and poorly insulated.

The worst part is that we paid extra for this accommodation and felt cheated. The pictures on the booking page do not correspond at all to reality.

We have documented everything with photos and plan to contact Hotels.com for a refund. I highly recommend that you look for another accommodation if you plan to travel to Phi Phi Islands. This is not worth the money.

Example of review for Facebook or social media

“WARNING for Phi Phi View Point Resort – Avoid this hotel!”
If you plan to stay at Phi Phi View Point Resort, think again! My wife and I booked a detached bungalow here through Hotels.com and paid extra to get better standards, but the accommodation was very disappointing.

This is what we experienced:
• The room was full of mosquitoes, ants and spiders.
• The toilet was dirty and the shower rusty.
• The fridge did not work at all, and the door lock could not be used, which felt very unsafe.
• The floor had big cracks that allowed us to see straight down on the ground below us.

The pictures on the booking page were misleading and totally exaggerated the standard. We have documented everything and will contact Hotels.com to get our money back.

If you are looking for accommodation in Phi Phi Islands – choose another hotel! This wasn't worth the money or the stress.

Unfortunately all of the poor reviews are true. This place may have been nice in the 80’s but not now. The bungalow is up about 200 terrible steps, many crumbling and a total hazard. The bungalows remind me of something out of Texas chain saw massacre. They are old, dirty and falling apart. Some windows are broken and the monkey try and get in which is not good at all. You don’t get rooms cleaned and only 2 toilet rolls. We paid £400 for 4 nights would not be worth 1/4 of that. You will need ear plugs as the noise travels and is on until 5am.

Many reviews suggest scam from the reception so we made sure we filmed when handing over our cash.

The pool is bright green so cannot be swim in. No chlorine or maintenance.

The view is however beautiful, as is phi phi. But please find somewhere else to stay.

Do not stay at this hotel, the only thing this hotel has to offer is a lovely view of the bay. The rooms are dirty crawling alive with ants and bugs, aircon doesn’t work properly the whole resort looks run down and abandoned since the 80s. The lady at reception is about as much use as a chocolate kettle, you’ll get a better response talking to a brick wall. We booked in for 2 nights only to find out on the first night the room we booked we couldn’t get so had to walk all the way to the top of the resort no one helped me and my girlfriend with our bags which we had 2 suitcases and 2 other big bags only to get to the room to find it crawling alive with bugs the shower didn’t work properly either and the lights are pointless would’ve been better off with candles. The next day when I asked to be put in the room we booked she tried putting me in another room that we hadn’t booked so I asked to look at the room first only to find out that this room was in a worse state than the first there’s better facilities in a prison cell than there was in this room as it only had a bed and a bathroom not even a mirror to help getting ready of an evening there’s bugs splattered on the wall and again ants crawling all over. We eventually got put into the room that we originally booked only to find that in that room the p*xy aircon doesn’t work when I told the lady at reception about it she said she would send someone in ten minutes an hour had past so I went back to reception livid, she then informs me that no one would be coming to fix it until 7pm what was not ideal as we would be going out at this time. Oh and I too if all this there’s not even a bar or any form refreshments at the hotel by the pool area not to mention that it is over priced for the area. This place should be shut down as I’m sure it’s in breach of human rights how this place is still open is beyond my imagination!!! If I could 0 stars I would matter of fact I would give minus 5 if you value your health and well being stay away

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Not sure when the photos were taken, but I'm going to guess minimum 20 years ago. After trudging up a hill with our bags, we quickly changed to hop into the pool for some much needed relief. I can't believe I saw a man jump in there! It was completely GREEN. Couldn't see a tile along the side let alone the bottom. Algae could have walked out by itself.
Room - filthy. Air conditioning - more like a fan. SO many mosquitos in the room; probably coming in the doors and windows with all the cracks. Cockroaches both nights. Disgusting smell when you walk up to the 'resort' which also comes up through the bathrooms. If it wasn't for the fact we literally spent a few hours sleeping for 2 nights, we would have gone to another place. I'm sure the hostels on the island provide cleaner facilities. Really should be closed down and start all over again.
Would NEVER recommend.

Booked and paid in advance for 4 nights in the deluxe room. We arrive a day late due to bad weather problems with the speedboat. I notify you regularly both on Agoda and on the phone via the Thai receptionist. We arrive and they had resold our room for a day. They send us to the rooms up on the hill (a trek to get up there) one night there and then my room, already paid for for 4 nights, would be freed up for the remaining two nights. Horrible room on the hill... in nowhere! Nightclub casinos until 3am...mosquitoes and insects. There is no restaurant... no bar... they have nothing! Only one rude person to manage everything. We lost a day of excursions for the room change and the next day they didn't even clean. BAD AND NOT RECOMMENDED! L
