A sweet resort with the most caring lovely service!
Set on the hills on the far end of Long Beach, providing mesmerizing views. Lovely updated cabins set in a pretty garden setting.

Only accessible by boat, you must walk up a staircase to reach the resort. The staircase is done very well, with landing areas to take in the views and a little rest. A healthy climb up but not difficult for most people.

Great breakfast served with much care, and food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious.

Overall a great place to stay, we will be back!

The resort is excellent, the bungalows are good. the food super and the staff are lovely. the only downside is the number of stairs from the beach up to the resort, 140 plus. the good thing is they have a ingenius electric pully system to take the luggage up.

We arrived yesterday by boat from Krabi and my first impressions were WOW...I've found heaven.

It feels like a lost island that has just been discovered. There are no roads so water taxis take you from your hotel to the mainland, literally 10 mins trip costing 200 batt, £5.00.

The scenery is just stunning and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

It's an adult only resort too, which is nice, but also probably due to the 150 steps you have to climb (yes I counted! Lol) from getting off the boat to reach the hotel, but well worth it for the views...and it will help get my legs toned! Lol

Definitely, without a doubt worth a visit to the Phi Phi islands, you will not be dissatisfied.

Had upgraded 15 days prior to arriving to ocean view room. Upon arrival though we only could get partial view which meant sitting on the porch and looking to the right next to some palm trees.
Explained and showed the confirmation with the description and was told we only had ONE OPTION as I had made a change from the original booking and they did not receive the change (stop lying as you automatically get the change through email by booking.com or third party). I accepted that THEY made a mistake eventhough SHE didn't apologize for it so asked for a refund for the first night of upg charge as we are not staying in the room we paid for. She neglected to make a refund for the upg.charge her argument was this was the rate from booking.com! Ok so NOW she has the correct nformation ?! Tried to explain the rate was for the ocean view a higher category than what they provided...
After almost 2 hours of debating and running my payience from seeing another partial view room and calling Booking.com we finally could get the refund. And as compensation they refunded for both night's upgrade. But the whole situation was handled so badly and a waste of precious time.
A weird hospitality mentality not to admit the errors when obviously it is not the guests fault and then NOT calling the local Booking.com service them selves when THEY are the ones making the mistake.
More over all bath room floors are very tilted so it makes you feel like you are on a boat. We had stayed in 3 different bungalows all the same tilted bath room.
Beware of a lot of steep steps.
Breakfast simple.
Best part and therefore 2 stars is the beach downstairs has Shark's point right infront of it..just swim outside of the marked floating swimming area.

We were there during Covid. The view is great, the rooms simple but tasteful and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Long Beach is a great beach (one of the best l have seen in Thailand, and l have seen many), although there are some sandflies. This can happen in lots of beaches in Thailand. Use coconut oil on your feet and legs to prevent the bites and before you go get some antihistaminic tablets and a cream with corticosteroids like Betamethasone. Read the contraindications first. This is a precaution, please don't be put off!

You can snorkel off the beach and go kayaking, it's very sheltered.

At Hip they do breakfast and meals, both much better than expected. If you want a change you can always go to The Beach Resort below, which is also open and if you have a meal/drinks you can use their beach chairs. Friendly cats around, a plus for me. You can get everywhere by longtail boat.

Even better than the view at Hip is the wonderful staff! They speak good English too. They arranged two boat trips for us. Do the longtail trip to Phi Phi Leh, the views and the snorkelling are fantastic. Maya bay is closed, but you can see it from the boat and snorkel right there.

Steps: yes, about 5 flights maybe, but very gradual and you can stop along the way to enjoythe views!

Would l stay at Hip again? Definitely.

Thanks again to the staff, worth their weight in gold!

Perfect place for us! We loved the cabins and loved being perched on the side of the hill with a beautiful vantage point of the sea and bay. The rooms were a great size and had everything you could need. There are a fair few steps up to the property but as a physically fit group, we didn't find these to be too bad and it gave us some good exercise anyway! The hotel staff were really attentive and helpful, helping us to set up a fantastic snorkelling trip to Phi Phi Leh and giving us lots of useful recommendations. Long beach is very easily accessible, starting almost right at the foot of the stairs from the hotel and was absolutely beautiful - I've never seen such clear water and white sand before. Having taken a boat over to Tonsai and visiting the beaches on that side of the island (very congested and overtaken by the hotels there), I was really happy that we had opted for somewhere on the long beach side!

This is the worst hotel we nearly stayed at!
One of the best things about traveling in Thailand is the wonderful helpful friendly people, not at this hotel!

After waiting 45 minutes for the transfer to the hotel (as the boat driver was off getting some lunch) we arrived to a partial building site. A digger dredging the pier, and garbage/ rubble leading up to the hotel!
After walking the 4 flights of stairs to the top of the hill (this was definitely not mentioned in the hotel description) we then found our ‘seaview room’ that did not have a seaview, we moved rooms to another partial seaview room. When we advised reception we were not happy - she got completely defensive and rude. She stated That we should have looked at the pictures of the booking better as the room is as per the picture’ The hotel had zero amenities (no lunch available!?), the room was extremely dated and not in good repair, the stairs made this extremely inaccessible.

We ended up staying at a hotel right on the beach, 1/3 of the price. All beach equipment included, no stairs, friendly staff

View from the top of the hill is nice - but not worth to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is on the top of the side of Grand Phi Phi Island. The booking is for Deluxe Sea View Bungalow, a four-room category that is lucky to have the best view of Room 41. The better view is room 51, but that room type is called Grand Sea View and costs more. Since you have to climb such a high staircase to this hotel, mainly to be able to overlook the sea, there is no garden room. Bungalow is just plain chalet, not luxurious but clean and tidy. There are more mosquitoes outside the room and it needs to close quickly to prevent them from following. The hotel is located just below the famous Long Beach and is comfortable to soak in the sea. There are several other hotels and restaurants in Long Beach, and dinner is settled in one of them. It's a lot of people and good taste.

Amazing for the price!
The staff were there to grey us with a drink and fruit and were all lovely and helpful.
It is a walk up a lot of steps to get to this resort be aware however so worth it for the view.
Breakfast was basic but nice still cooked food available at breakfast it was good range of choice especially for the price.
The little huts you stop in are not luxury however the location is! And the huts are perfect for a cosy night sleep and omg the pillows and bed were so comfy!!!
Basic bathroom but does the job.
Would deffo go back!

What an amazing hotel!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🏻

The hotel located up on the hill at Long Beach area as you can see from the first photo. This hotel close to the beach the nearest one just walk down from the resort you will see a beautiful beach it's called Long Beach and Shark point for who loves snorkeling, There is another beach just only 5 mins from resort it's called Loh Moo Dee Beach this is the best place to snorkeling as the water so clear and the current of the water it's very stable. (it depends on the weather)

Staff were outstanding 10/10 👍🏻

The room was beautiful and very comfortable.

I would highly recommended this amazing place!!

There are ferries which operate everyday from Phuket to phi phi and vice versa, not sure about the rainy season though. You can buy the tickets from local vendors , some hotels also help with tickets. Pick/ drop from/to hotel is usually included. Also, after you reach phi phi, you would need boat taxi to reach HIP sea view resort or you can walk, it would take around 40-50 minutes,I would not recommend walking during evening/night.
