Whether this place is for you depends hugely on what you want. The positives: beautiful, well-appointed bungalows with comfy beds, lovely balconies and amazing SW views; helpful service with very friendly staff - the first night we were exhausted and they served us a pizza in our room; beautiful pool with incredible sunset view, with good loungers so you can...

We stayed at Chintakiri 3 nights and loved it! Yes, there are some negatives like the steep hill going up, but the positives like the view and the service totally outweighs them. Service is fantastic - nothing is too much and the staff are very friendly and smiling all the time! Everything was taken care of for us - ferry...

What an amazing view. And the staff was absolutely fantastic. "Kung" (or perhaps "Gung") the main receptionist/concierge was amazingly helpful. The bungalows are fantastic. beds comfortable, rooms well appointed. The only issue would be the climb. Taxis will charge extra to get you up the hill. Walking it is doable, but in the am or the late pm. I would...

The lovely resort staff picked us up from the Lomprayah pier along with 2 Germans and we were transported to the resort in the back of the resort pick up truck. The resort is located up an extremely steep hill but my girlfriend and I are young and enjoyed the exercise. We have buns of steel now haha! It is...

This resort was excellent. The main feature was a lovely manager. When we were on Koh Samui trying to get to Koh Tao, she bought ferry tickets for us. The resturant was very good, only decent french toast in Thailand, We eat all our suppers there. This resort has a lovely view and is built on a hillside. So to...

This beautiful resort is located up on the hill, looking out onto the bay. There is an amazing pool which is perfect after a long day on the beach. The breakfast was delicious with polite, friendly and unobtrusive service. The rooms were beautiful with everything you could wish for and a view to go with it!

Ok - so we're an early-30s couple, uninterested in staying anywhere with bedbugs or 20-year old Poms cultivating their holiday beard, but also not the type to be sitting around the resort all day. This place pretty much filled all the stuff we were after - impeccably clean, quiet (for sleeping) and comfortable rooms, pool to lounge around in, and...
