I loved this resort, travelling on a budget View Rock was perfect in ever way so charming and peaceful the staff were so friendly and helpful. I never saw any of the day trippers that other reviewers have mentioned but there were quite a few boats on the bay - but that was because it was the best snorkeling on...

The resort was a very intriging plase with a lot of stone steps all over the place. The snorkeling was splendid and the staff was wery helpful and nice. The cabins were clean and spaseous. Want to come back.

We came here to enjoy nature and calm but were sorely disappointed. Each day, the restaurant caters to tons of day trippers from Samui who come here by speed boats to stop here for lunch. Of course, this is an incredibly good source of income for the owners but it destroyed the atmosphere in the restaurant and in the bay...

A great location for snorkeling, but many stairs. The bungalow I was given had a great view, but no electricity until 6 p.m. which means the rooms are hot with no fan.The staff who met me in town couldn't provide locked storage in the truck for my backpack which I had been carrying around since the ferry arrived at 6:00...

We (a family of four, kids 6 & 9 years old) stayed at the View Rock resort for three nights in July 2013. After reading the mixed tripadvisor reviews, we didn't quite know what to expect ... and were (overall) pleasantly surprised. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and had a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff was very...

Very friendly staff, nice new bungalows with GREAT views and excellent snorkelling! When going there, call in advance to arrange a (free!) pick-up from the ferry! Only negative points: As the bay is very scenic, all the island snorkelling trips stop here and some even have their lunch in the restaurant of the resort, so quietness is interrupted for approx....

View Rock offers simple bungalows with very nice views, the owner couple is friendly and helpful. Snorkelling is fantastic in the bay. Unfortunately, the island was completely invaded by large groups of rather ruthless French tourists - as was the neighbour island , too- so it might be a better option to come here in the off-peak season.

We arrived be ferry very, very exhausted and wanting a shower and a bed. We were told that we had to wait a couple hours to go back to the resort...my husband panicked, but I was so tired I said we would be fine, wait and have a coffee. All worked out, and when we arrived we were blown away...

We arrived off the boat and immediately had people offering taxis' etc. We were then offered 500 baht for one night, we were shown pictures and said yes! This resort has its own bay, to swim, snorkel, kayak and relax! Incredible snorkel spots that you pay 1500 baht to go on a boat to, we just kayak to from the...

We arrived late, dirty and very grumpy. So glad we didn't give up and stay by the ferries. It takes around half an hour by taxi to reach View Rock, the last part being down a very bumpy steep track. When you arrive getting there is instantly forgotten. The rooms are built in to the hillside and each is facing...

“Many steps down to the restaurant and water's edge, and many up to the parking lot. So they are only accessible to those with good knees. Don't recommend for guests very old or very young. But if you can manage those steps - fabulous”
