I stayed only 1 night in simple room with fan (room A1). Quite big and bright room with comfortable bed, pillows, good working fan, 2 bottles of water (free), good wifi, hot water in shower and flush toilet . The bungalow A1 was painted bright green and orange color. It is easy to find it. Go through Lomprayah office, turn to the right and go about 50 meters until you see drug store, turn left and go through italian restaurant, up stairs and go ahead 50 meters to reception and here you are.
We stayed in the pink bungalows for a week and couldn't have been happier with the rooms. By paying slightly more than the blue bungalows, you get air conditioning and a fully-functional toilet (which I came to appreciate greatly after getting food poisoning halfway through the trip.) The owners were quite friendly and spoke good English. The resort is located just a 2 minute walk from the pier, and a 10-15 minute walk will get you to Sairee Beach. I enjoyed the location as it was more secluded and private, but still within easy walking distance of nightlife and the beaches.
Stayed for 8 nights and called it home. Clean rooms, cheap, AC is fantastic, good bed, good TV with vable and HDMI connector, fancy shower and a laundry service. The location is excellent and close enough to town and quiet enough altogether. The manager speaks good English and responded quickly to our needs and requests.
This is very basic accommodation, but for £5 a night what do you expect? We had a few friends joining us for the night, i.e insects and a couple of geckos which wasn't ideal. We booked this based on the reviews as the majority said it was a good location but we totally disagree. It is completely out of all of the nightlife or shops so I guess it depends what you're looking for. We had to get a taxi every where so we checked out after the first night and moved to somewhere on Sairee beach instead. The lady who owned it was really sweet though.
We paid 400 per night which is great value to Koh Tao, was very hard to find anything else in this price range. Room was adequate, comfortable bed and had everything we needed. Location is close to the pier which was good but I would probably have preferred a different location if I were to stay again. Staff were nice :)
These bungalows are on the cheaper end of the scale, we paid 700THB per night for a fan room which for Koh Tao is pretty cheap. That said, the bungalows had seen better days and the bathroom was pretty grim, but usable. The location was very handy, about 1 minute from the Lomprayah pier, and the area outside is a bit more traditional compared to Sairee beach. Wifi worked fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, for 5 nights it did the job.
Stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't fault it. We had a double fan room which had plenty of storage and the fan was very powerful! Clean bathroom, hut was quaint and charming. Staff here are so friendly, family run business and all smiles. Receptionist extremely helpful and spoke good English. Location is brilliant, down a path from shops, restaurants and bars and only 5-10 minute drive from the busier area. Enjoyed sitting out on our balcony so much here, it is such a charming place and would definitely return.
We needed a place to crash for when we arrived on Koh Tao before we started our dive course. This location suited us perfectly as was next to the pier (literally a 2 minute walk to get to) and cheap. On arrival, you have to walk through a restaurant to get to the reception. The lady we met was very friendly but spoke limited English. Was all fine to check us in however!! The bungalows are basic! Fairly warm as only have fans but bearable! Fleece blankets were provided which I thought was ludicrous when we arrived however, I did actually use mine at about 2am as the temperature did seem to drop quite a bit. Was back to being very hot again by 7am!! Toilet facilities are perfectly useable but they are basic. No flush on the toilet so the cup and water system is used, but worked fine. No window in the bathroom so did get very damp smelling. To be here for one night worked perfectly well. Was the cheapest we could find on booking.com - would recommend to people; just expect the basics. Wifi was good! …
We came to Koh Tao after a couple of days in Koh Phangan. And for the "cheap" price we only got wodden bungalows in Koh Phangan. So we were very suprised with the very nice, clean and big room, with no moskitos. Its really close to the harbour, but its a bit hidden in a quiet big garden, so its not getting to loud there. Also the staff is really nice and helpful.
Well, this is not the fancy 5* star resort but at this price, the quality is not bad. The owner and her family are EXTREMELY friendly & it is quite rare in Ko Tao ! She will try her best to satisfy you. The bungalows are basic but clean, we found them really spacious ! Internet was incredibly fast. Last thing, it is the closest resort to the pier, only 100m. Just perfect for young couples !
