Loved this small family run hotel. Found on Google maps, book via Facebook or email/call. On TA it looks full but it’s not.
Owner was really helpful and quick booking & great rate for really nicely designed rooms.
Beautiful gardens, pool and lots animals.
Really helpful man called Dow ordered us food when we arrive late and in the Am - lady, J also took me to 7/11 for breakfast.
Perfect spot before the ferry to Langkawi 🙏 arranged pick-up to port for 250b - 10 mins away

Reasonable price, nice service and super clean.
I wasn’t expect much, but I was surprise when I got to the room. The room was big with high ceilings and very clean. The room had everything needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is amazing😊😊😊

I have to go to Thailand quite often for the shipyard. Any time I come here, I stay at the Gleam resort - at least since it opened a few years back. I must have been here at least 10 times by now.
I love this place for the following reasons:
the location is closed to downtown Satun and quiet
the rooms are tip-top clean and nicely set up
The bed is very comfortable and the aircon works perfectly fine
the pool is small but truly nice as well
you can use the kitchen if you like
most over all you feel truly welcome here and the staff assists in any task you put on them.
The value for money is excellent!

We stayed at The Gleam Resort for 3 days. My first impression of Satun, seeing out from a minivan, “maybe not good city for us”, because Satun looked like too small and sleeping town for our enjoyable trip.
But it was big changed our feeling when the minivan arrived at The gleam resort.”This is a fantastic resort !!”
Beautiful garden, a very friendly dog (name is Songkran ) , a charming cat, and good sound of variety insects made us comfortable sleeping.Of course the madam and all staffs gave us their hospitality. It is just “peaceful and pleasant place”.
For our stay The Gleam Resort, we went around Satun and the suburbs, muslim towns, the border of Malaysia, by a rented motorbike. We had a lot of kindness and welcome of Satun people.
It is said Thai people have “nam jai” (nam=water, jai=heart, kindness), this may be the first real “nam jai” for us, the 33rd province our visit in Thailand !!

I can only describe this unique resort with superlatives. Everything was perfect. The rooms, or better the houses, are spacious and comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. The outside surfaces are very well maintained, full of trees and beautiful flowers. The place itself is very peaceful, you can only hear relaxing sounds of birds and other small animals. The food is great and very cheap. The staff is very helpful with anything you need.
The service is excellent and up to standards of 5 star hotels.
I would definitely recommend this beautiful oases of harmonic and positive energy.

My expat friends in Langawi recommended The Gleam Resort as a perfect stay in Satun while doing a visa-run. And they were right. I made booking via e-mail and got a confirmation in couple of minutes... (suprising in South-East Asia). The Gleam was spotlessly clean and the staff polite and helpful. This kind of resort within walking distance from Satun's center, with this price is a true gem. We booked the three night promotion package and ended up staying four nights because of the relaxing atmosphere and possibly the best beds in Tahailand.

Our CNY break was at The Gleam Resort this year.We had a fantastic stay.Firstly we love the quiet nature, fresh air and of course listening to the birds chirping away in the morning.Took our worries and pressures away.We had the best authentic Thai breakfast. Thanks to The Gleam services. My son enjoyed his free cycling rides around the resort. Not mention it is a safe place too.Our promise: To revisit - The Gleam again. Thanks a lot to the staff & mgt.

The Gleam is a perfect resort if you like peace and quiet. It's small (ten bungalows), and unbelievably quiet given its location within the town of Satun. Mostly you just hear birds and crickets.
But you can also easily walk into town. The wet market is only five minutes away.
The resort is very well run and the garden is immaculately maintained by a very hard working gardener.
The swimming pool is large enough to swim a couple of strokes and great to cool down and relax.
The bungalows are stylish and have a very pleasant feel.
Great place to spend some time, although most guests just pass through, which means you have a good chance of having the pool - or the whole resort - to yourself during the day.
Satun is a nice provincial town and there are very few tourists. You can explore the town and the surrounding countryside on foot or on a bicycle (the resort has some available for guests for free). It's flat and there's much less traffic than in many places, Satun being sort of the end of the road in Thailand...
Loved it, in short!

From the moment we arrived we recieved great service. Having worked in the hospitality game it's wonderful to get real sincere and above required service. The huts are great, spacious, fridges, king size bed which was extremely comfortable, his and her hats, balcony with the coolest seat and table, large tv, aircon that worked really well, even your own mail box which my son loved. Plus privacy due to the gardens. The pool was clean and great to pass some time in, especially with a child. They have bicycles you can use. Small attention to detail were appreciated, shampoo, best smelling hand wash, books and magazines, security at night and gorgeous garden settings. Close enough to town to walk to all but quiet and off the main road. The manager Orr and her staff were amazing.Dropping us off to dinner and arranging her nephew to pick us up to take us to see the boat yard..what more could you ask for. All with a smile. I will be returning and recommend to all

Dany R asked a question Oct 2014
Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium1,118 contribution162 helpful votesHello,
I read your appreciation about the Gleam Resort in Satun.
In March 2015, we will spend 5 nights on Lipe. After that I would like to spend 2 nights (before flying to BKK with the Thai Airways flight at 17.55) for our 3 last nights in BKK before flying back to Belgium. We would take the ferry at 09.30 am from Lipe to Pakbara pier.
After that, we would take a bus or minivan (faster) to Hay Yai where we would spend 2 nights. That was our 1st idea but I found this place, Gleam Resort in Satun which seem to be very nice. Do you have an idea about how long it takes from Pakbara pier to Satun and from Satun to Hat Yai airport ? Also the price if you remember that ?
Thanks a lot for your help !
Looking forward hearing from you,
Dany
