I had to stay in Hotel Grand Bukhara as part of my official travel(arranged by my customer company in Bukhara). The atmosphere itself is dull. The rooms are very conjusted and have no internet/ Wi-Fi in room. For internet/Wi-Fi you have to go to the lobby, where you can access the very slow internet provided by the hotel. I have...

The room I was ushered the first day_a single use double room_was not so bad. The next day when I returned from town walk, I was told that the room was changed. When I entered the (different double) room there were some items which were male laundries and stuff. So I asked what they were. The owner said that they...

Everywhere we went in Uzbekistan the air conditioning was not good. Since it was summer and hot season that is one thing which gave us problems. For this reason only the ratings are down in most hotels. The rooms were spacious and nicely done. Balcony opened out on the main road. The city view especially in the morning from 9th...

Even though we did not stay in this hotel, we tried to go to its restaurant terrace and we must inform potential customers about Grand Bukhara's staff behaviour. We took a taxi to the Grand Bukhara (to see the sunset from there, following the recommendation of our guide travel book) but found its restaurant terrace to be closed during winter....

Given the previous comments, it was with trepidation when our group arrived, but they had obviously made some improvements. Staff courteous (great barman), hotel generally clean, rooms a bit dated, but clean, comfortable bed (sheets a little thin), aircon working well, balconies accessible (a few bird droppings, but manageable), food no different to the rest of Uzbekistan. Overall, not great,...

Our group was placed here on a recent trip to Uzbekistan (after being changed at the last-minute from another hotel). This place is horrible. It is a throwback to the old Soviet-era days. Large gray block situated in a dark and desolate area of town. Unwelcoming staff at reception, small elevators that barely work. Many lights in hallway burned out...

Avoid this hotel at all costs! This hotel is rundown. There are flies on the food laid out for the breakfast buffet. Nothing works in the room. The furniture is worn and chipped. The bathrooms are old. When I tried to open a balcony door to let in some air because the AC did not operate, I was facing bird...

A relatively massive structure in a location that is characterless. Difficulties and stoppages with lift and electricity including the hot water provision. Fair-> good breakfast. basic dinner, admittedly for a group excursion. Possibly our least attractive stay in that monotonous post-soviet central Asian Democracy called Uzbekistan, providing very little and no intimacy which is what we lacked in that country....
