We stayed for 6 nights at Mas Cottages and can only recommend it! If you want some peace and quiet, have a nice surrounding, friendly staff and great food, you should definitely choose to stay here. The only thing I'd recommend is to spring for the Deluxe rooms as they are new, plush and very spacious. The standard rooms are...

Good accommodation made GREAT by Mezly and the rest of the staff at Mas. Mezly was on hand day and night, on reception and in the restaurant. Always helpful and friendly and with excellent knowledge and English. The view from the cottages is excellent as is the food in the restaurant. I recommend trying the grilled fish! If you're here...

We had initially booked the Batak house - but we changed our mind after reaching the property and went for the standard room instead . They were more than willing to accommodate our request. The standard room is spacious & basic but all the rooms have a beautiful lake view , so that shouldn't be a worry. Ms Lee (...

We stayed 2 nights at Mas cottage. The staff are really nice and friendly. The room was ok with a great view on the lake. Really pleasant to fall asleep and be woke up by the noise of the waves !! Perhaps, the presence of regiments of ants and flies in the bathroom and the room could be prevented... We...

After trekking in the jungle we just wanted to chill out for a few days and Mas Cottages proved to be the perfect place for this in Lake Toba. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Tuk-Tuk but enjoying a prime lakeside position where we could watch the ever changing sky. The accommodation was basic but perfectly adequate...

Traditional cottages, great view, good swimming right in front of the cottages, rooms are ok...rather lower standard with not much extras, breakfast not included, staff also rather annoyed or bothered(?) in the beginning but got much more friendly during the stay. Fresh fruit juice was delicious :-)

Rooms located by the water are very quiet and offer a beautiful view. Comfy bed. Food at the restaurant is good and reasonably priced (loved the grilled fish!). Possibly to rent motorbike at a competitive price. Ferry from Parapat can drop you right at the property for an extra 5,000 Rph (which is really convenient!). Staff are very polite. Location...
