Overall, Mas Cottages is a no-frills place to stay in a great location. The location is great for those who don't like to be right in the center of the action, but still want it close by. The food served in the hotel is alright, but far tastier food for much cheaper prices can be found a short walk or...

Why i wanted Mas Cottage - was the location, the view and the room. - all three checked my box. The view of Lake Toba from my room was extraordinaire - love love love!. The location was away from the crowd, which makes it quiet - hence enjoying the serenity. The rooms, when received was clean. We did not expect...

My newly built Deluxe room had a big balcony (more like a small terrace) with two very comfortable chairs plus small table, laundry rack and lighting. The big bedroom was painted beige with the ceiling in shades of more or less dark orange (i would have preferred white). The cabinet had many boards and some hangers. The comfortable double bed...

Clean room, perfect for swimming in the lake, friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, it was nice to sit outside on evening with the view over the Lake. Breakfast and food was very good, also the juices. We rented a scooter to see this beautiful landscape.

Clean room and beautiful views! Accommodating staff and super friendly! Food at the restaurant on the property is really good! Lots of options to choose from, from western to Indonesian to ice cream to fruit. Not too far from the town center, but also not super close. Some may not like that, but it worked fine for my friend and...

Excellent little guesthouse on Lake Toba. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Batak people are amazing. Great food and a great room overlooking the water. Definitely recommend this place.

Everything is overpriced from the food to the transport, the room price can be different for local, online booking and for walk in. The receptionist told us that we did not make any deposit therefore no more room for us, insist that we upgrade to a suite which was double from the initial price for two nights, but after some...

This review is meant to benefit travelers, not the business) I love Mas Cottages. when I first came as a budget traveler I...

Mas cottage is perfect to chill out and relax and write or unwind after a few hikes around Sumatra. The island within the lake toba provides enough options for you to explore and discover for a week. You can arrange the boats to drop you at the hotel directly from parbat and also hire bikes from hotel to explore the...
