Clean room and beautiful views! Accommodating staff and super friendly! Food at the restaurant on the property is really good! Lots of options to choose from, from western to Indonesian to ice cream to fruit. Not too far from the town center, but also not super close. Some may not like that, but it worked fine for my friend and...

Excellent little guesthouse on Lake Toba. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Batak people are amazing. Great food and a great room overlooking the water. Definitely recommend this place.

Everything is overpriced from the food to the transport, the room price can be different for local, online booking and for walk in. The receptionist told us that we did not make any deposit therefore no more room for us, insist that we upgrade to a suite which was double from the initial price for two nights, but after some...

Full disclosure: I first stayed here 7 years ago, and always do when I go to Toba. (6 times to date, but I am not affiliated in any other way with the family who runs the place. This review is meant to benefit travelers, not the business) I love Mas Cottages. when I first came as a budget traveler I...

Beautifully situated on the shore of this spectacular and serene lake a little outside Tuk Tuk. Large and clean rooms with a spacious balcony right on the edge of the lake. Sometimes a passing jet ski but most of the time peace and quiet. Good food and juices, very friendly and hard working staff. Good value for money. We rented...

Arrived by boat to a rocky jetty, no one there to meet us, so we had to struggle with 4 suitcases up several flights of steep steps. The receptionist then turned up and accused us of not paying in advance, where upon we showed her the bank transfer receipt to prove we had in fact paid 50% in advance. The...

We arrived here at 19:00 pm with the boat and we first checked our rooms before saying yes. We found bed bugs in one of the rooms, so we asked for another room. The owner said she only has a family room left, so we took that one. (The family who had this room arrived at 20:00 pm with the...

There's a few very nice people working there and I thought that some of the bad reviews must be misunderstandings in communicating skills or something, but boy, was I wrong? I met the fierce woman who seems to have a problem with her temper. They are selling tours to the waterfalls even though the water level in the lake is...
