We stayed here as part of a private tour we arranged and to be honest I didn't do a lot of research on what we were doing so I didn't have any expectations. The camp is the only one around with trees and plants and it backs up to huge rock mountains that get lit at night. The bed wasn't... More

When else will you ever spend a day (and night) in the Jordanian desert? Where will you find a better group of Bedouin guides/hosts? The answer to both is "probably never." Our family of five recently visited Wadi Rum courtesy of Captain's Desert Camp. Our experience began with a three hour jeep ride in the desert with stops to see... More

I enjoyed an overnight stay in the camp. It has a nice location and the tents are ok, however, they should place ventilators in the room, it was too hot. The staff is helpful and attentive. The traditional dinner was tasty and I loved the Zarb! The breakfast the day after lacked authenticity and could be better. Overall with few... More

To be honest I thought It'll be a bad experience but turned out to be one of the best. It's nothing fancy (you're in the middle of the dessert) I liked the road since you ride pickups and have a real Bedouin experience. My family went to watch the sunset but I haven't they said it was amazing. The food... More

Camp is located on a massive levelled out car park, right next to 4 or 5 other camps, just 2 min off of the main road which was very disappointing since we expected a true "desert experience" a bit more remote. We had the most unwelcoming greeting upon arrival. He didnt even say "hi" and I even had to ask... More

This place was great for our limited time in Wadi Rum. Comfortable camp site with basic but roomy tented accommodation. Shower and toilet facilities are basic, but exactly to be expected whilst camping. We booked a 4wd trip into Wadi Rum at sunset - great value for money and an excellent tour guide was used, we had a lot of... More

A great stay in a wadi rum desert camp, comfortable ensuite tent(lockable) ensured we slept well and that night we were cooked a genuine bedouin underground bbq with lamb chicken and vegetables, a feast fit for a shiek! The 4wd safari was exceptional showing us the wadi rum desert formations and we also saw the 'martian movie crew campsite' as... More
