We spent one night in the Rhino Valley Lodge on a five day safari through Tsavo West, Tsavo East and Amboseli. The lodges are built on the hillside overlooking a waterhole. We had great fun sitting on the balcony watching elefants and buffalos coming and going and listening to the sounds at night. The park itself has a beautiful landscape... More

The cottages have an amazing view over a waterhole and you basically don't even need to go on a game drive as all the animals come to the waterhole to drink. We watched 5 groups of elephants splashing in the water over a duration of only 2 hours as well as some giraffes and antelopes. At night you can still... More

Huts are on a hillside overlooking the park and a spring fed waterhole. Amazing to sit and watch the elephants and giraffe. The huts we stayed in were basic but good, would be better to pay more and get the front row huts as they have a much better view. Food same as every other place we have stayed in... More

The view from the restaurant in this lodge must be one of the best in Kenya, I could sit there all day and look out. The lodge is perched half way up a hill with spectacular views and most rooms have very good views too. Photos to follow. Food and service was pretty good too. The location is great for... More

After spending a couple of hours driving through Tsavo West National Park, it was a pleasure to see the lodge nestled into the side of a hill. The roofing materials blend very well into the environment, so that the lodge seems to be a natural part of the landscape. The team was very welcoming, greeting us with some refreshing juice... The best lodge we stayed at during a 12 day safari through Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo East & West. Why? Tsavo is by fat the most picturesque of the parks, and this place makes the most of that being perched on a hill side over looking a valley. It was originally built by British colonial era hunters as... More

My husband and loved staying here. From our verandah or from the dining area you can watch elephants, water buffalo, giraffe, etc. Cone to drink at the water hole. The staff were excellent, the accommodation very comfortable along with great food. We would highly recommend staying here.

The room was full of character, clean with basic amenities. Lights out at 10pm so were led by torchlight to room to and from dinner. Views are stunning over the valley especially at sunrise and sunset though sadly no rhinos here now. Food basic. Not many facilities but since only there briefly not a problem.

We stayed here for one night as part of a private safari tour booked through a local Kenyan guide. I was confused to what to expect as there were two accommodation options within Tsavo West with similar names Ngulia Safari Camp (also known as Rhino Valley Lodge) and Ngulia Safari Lodge that apparently feeds the animals to encourage them to... In January 2015 we stayed for 3 nights in the Rhino Valley Lodge in Tasvo West Park. Accommodation The rooms were wonderful. Our room has a comfortable bed with a mosquito net (one of the best I saw in Africa) and a nice washroom. But the highlight was the balcony, from where you had a nice view over the waterhole,...
