Hello Bill,
There is no way of knowing for sure how the weather will be, but it is expected to be hot with temperatures as high as 28 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night. There are three ways of getting to Kilaguni. One by road to Mtito Andei where you branch off to the lodge the whole journey should be about 4-5hrs. You can also use the new Standard Gauge railway line to Mtito Andei and we will arrange for a car to pick you from the station on arrival. You can also fly into Tsavo and airstrip transfer will be provided. Animal viewing is usually very good as a myriad of animals stop by the watering whole through out the day and this can be enjoyed from your room or the common dining areas. One can also expect to see more animals while out on game drive.

this is late answer but if you are still alive you now know this hwy is what i call the "hwy of death" (Nairobi- Mumbasa Hwy). Has to be one of the most dangerous hwy in the world. traffic continuously passing and coming head-on to oncoming vehicles, which actually drive off the road to avoid one another. Mostly trucks. It's black top all the way down to turn-off to Kilaguni, then dirt for 1.5 hours
