Camp is newly renovated and beautiful - staff however still needs to warm up and be able to relate to the guests. In a camp that was empty, we were put in the two furthest tents from the main area - for no apparent reason. This would normally be okay, but the walk was on volcanic black ground rock so...

Absolutely splendid, staff superbly professional, rooms/tends truly at five star level. Gourmet cuisine at the highest. We were dining listening to Mozart. That's the way Denys would like it. Well how can I top this ? ... how about two different leopards encounters within three days !!! Not to mention all the wildlife we have seen thanks to Julius and...

There is almost nothing to criticise at this stunningly luxurious lodge. Our family of four were the only guests for most of our one day visit so, the attention we were given was almost overwhelming yet exemplary and very welcoming. It is not long since the lodge was refurbished and the accommodation, dining areas and swimming pool have been given...

Only stopped for lunch, but asked for a tour and was blown away by the luxury. What a property. We had a delicious, three-course lunch, beautifully presented and served outside in front of the watering hole. The property was closed for two years and underwent a complete renovation. Rooms are exquisite. This would be an amazing place for a small...

From the moment a traveler drives in and is struck by the warm welcome, freshly squeezed juice and chilled eucalyptus towels, to the sad moment when one must leave, no one puts a foot wrong! The view- to die for: a real bird lover's paradise with WOW factor- heron, many different Kingfishers, Bee...

can't say enough about this camp. The staff is tremendous. The food and drink is as good as it gets, and the rooms are beautiful. I was there and just HAD to watch game 7 of the NBA finals. Not an easy thing to do at 3am when the power is off and there are no TVs. These guys made...

Visited FH with a large group of friends for 3 nights of Safari and relaxation. It is without doubt one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The service was superb, staff attentive and happy to accommodate any request. The food was excellent with different cuisines everyday and a lovely bar. Four of us stayed in a family...

Finch Hattons is not your typical 'home away from home' getaway because honestly, we don't have most of the things there in our homes. The team down in Tsavo led by Jonathan gave us the attention, everything before we even asked. There’s a certain kind of silence and tranquility you can only find here. Go Explore Tsavo with Finch Family!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp is a camp rich in history, passion and committed to conservation. It is situated in the magnificent southern region of Tsavo West National Park, known as "The Land of Lava, Springs and Man-eaters". The camp was re-opened in February 2015 after undergoing a total refurbishment and adding facilities like a spa and wellness centre, fully equipped gym, look out tower, star gazing terrace and a children's recreation room. Experiencing Africa in colonial campaign fashion has by no means been this luxurious. The thrill of Africa is experienced from intimate 17 tented luxury suites, which are positioned around a water hole fed by a natural spring from Mount Kilimanjaro. The open plan design of the tents invite the cooling breeze closer over the water, transporting all the African sounds, tastes and smells right onto your doorstep, enabling you to experience the intense interface between nature and man. Combine incredible game viewing during a safari, with fine dining, excellent service and a spot of relaxation by the infinity swimming pool or a spa treatment at the wellness centre. The attention to detail, comfort and luxury present in our accommodation is reminiscent of a bygone era, to ensure you always experience 'Luxury Bush Camping', at it's finest. ... more   less
