There is TF supermarket just behind, and a little further back was pasar malam (night market) on the Saturday night that we were there. This night market is really vibrant and bustling with people and we enjoyed the home cooked dim sum (12 pieces for rm10 - really value for money) and Taiwan style oyster mee sua. Unfortunately we spent so much time there that we missed watching the sunset from our room.
One minus is that there were no refrigerator in the room. Hope the owner will consider adding this into the executive triple as there is enough space for it. Then we can enjoy ice cold beer at the balcony looking out into the sea.
Good location..just at the beach and lots of eating options.
Good friendly staff.
Nice walk along the beach.
Family liked it.
Kids enjoyed the playing area nearby.
Hope fully will come back
its 5 minutes walk from the food truck market and a shopping Mall in the other direction.
port dickson waterfront is a strange plave at the moment with loads of investment and development going on.
The only small drawback is room is not sound proof - if other rooms have children will still hear them, especially in morning. That said, it did not bother me much.
Things you should know.
- The hotel is at the 1st floor of seafront shop lots.
- Plenty of restaurant nearby. Pak Hailam Kopitiam is at ground floor only. Dominos Pizza is at the corner. Papparich, Taiwan Restaurant, Arabic restaurant etc. Kenny Rogers, McDonal and Starbucks just at walking distance where people hanging out and fishing in the evening.
- Even though the location is sea front, but you can not enjoy the beach though, its rocky sea front, no sandy beach. My kid dissatisfied about this since she prepared her sand bucket from home. We did not have chance to dip our feet in the sea during our 2 nights stay in PD at all. So sad.
- You should bring your own mat, the room balcony is the best place for you to spend time with family while listening to the waive.
- Basic toiletries are provided, bring along your own toothbrush.
- Room is not sound proof. Some irresponsible parents just let their kids running and screaming after 10PM. I could feel the quake, able to sleep after midnight.
The hotel room is small but clean and you have a choice of one facing the sea or facing the town. The bed is standard and the room comes with vinyl flooring. Toiletries are not complete but the shower pressure is good for a nice bath.
The minus points of this hotel is the absence of a safe deposit box and also a mini fridge, the two items which are always deemed to be the most essential for the convenience of guests. As such, all considered, aside from its good location near town, this is just an average budget hotel.
"The exec triple is worth that little more $. It has very nice sea view. The double is much smaller and faces the back with no sea view."Read full review
