Disappointed. The room is very dodgy, not so clean. The furniture seems old. Our check in got delayed until 4pm. They never offer late Check out to compensate.
The restaurant at the beach side is very bad as well, open at 4pm-5pm. The waiter is not friendly and the service is very bad. Should've open in the morning when people wants to have their breakfast by the beach. Do something if u lack of staff. Get a friendly staff and grab the opportunity to recover the business instead.
Such a waste when the hotel seems not prepared to operate after MCO, when people starts to travel and I think its the best time for the hotel to make a comeback.
I wonder why tourism in Malaysia still far behind compared to let's say Indonesia. I'm not comparing but we still have this attitude when it comes to tourism. No welcome wishes, no greetings, what so ever from the staff. Come on, we pay to stay and I'm just being honest so the hotel guys can improve. No offense and goodluck.

Cheers

Got this room at Rm260 at Agoda.

Good:
1. Beach facing balcony

2. Room is clean, spacious and with most basic facilities such as refrigerator, Astro TV (limited channel), air conditioner at living room and bedrooms, water heater, small kitchen with all the cooking utensils.

3. Good location which just above the beach site and best to local food restaurants such as king's CKT.

4. Has swimming pool but water is not so clean.

5. Easy check in and check out.

6. Owner is very good in response.

Bad:
1. Whole building is old. Walls within the room is broken with small holes and it is not painted.

2. When it is raining, the walk way to the room is flooded.

3. Lift is very old and slow.

4.Need a shower curtain else bath room floor will be very wet.

The beach here is 1 hour from KL and is a good spot to come for lunch and a dip. The sea at PD doesn't have the best reputation but it's a harsh view as we have found the beaches here cleaner than those we encountered in Thailand. The water is clean and a beautiful blue colour. The hotel aren't here aren't great by all accounts but we have opted to come here just for lunch. The restaurant on the beach has good wait staff and a comprehensive menu. Good options for the children, cold beer and something more local for the more adventurous. You can pay 50rm per person for pool use, showers etc or if you speak nicely to the waiters you may be able to have a dip in the pool if you buy lunch and drinks. It's also possible to get onto the beach via a public access road and then you can bring your own picnic. There is a good selection of decent watersports which are based at the beach inc. banana boats, jet skis and sail boats all reasonably priced.A guy selling ice creams and cold drinks comes along now and again on busy days (but we haven't seen the beach super busy). No one hassling you here either or trying to sell you anything.

This place is not suitable for handcapped guest in wheelchair. Besides the nice open seaview from the balcony, nothing else to be compliment. We stayed at a 4 rooms apartment. Each of the rooms with 1 faulty bulb. Tried calling for maintenance the phone not working. No hot water. Broken tiles in the toilet. Pool was not maintain properly. The pool is dirty. The pool deepest is 9 ft dept but no life guard on site. The pool stairs was missing. Hence u will have problem getting out from the pool. Landscape is nice and well maintained. With the rate they are charging is basically because of the view not the condition of the apartment. Water from sink was yellowish.

I had my annual vacation with my wife and 2 kids recently at this resort (Dec 28 Friday to Dec 29 Saturday 2012) and I can tell you it is one of the lousiest resort that I have stayed so far. The following is what me and my family encountered during our stay there :

1. The air condition unit in my unit had a rattling sound like and old car for the whole of my stay here. Furthermore the aircon unit was blocked by the top of the cupboard in the room. Well actually the cupboard is enjoying the air conditioning so we had to sleep the whole night feeling warm because of the blockage of the cupboard.
2. When asked for additional towel, the reception said we have to pay RM10 for a towel.
3. All the furniture and utilities in the unit are very old 80s style!
4. All the staff in the resort were not friendly and unhelpful. They never smiled especially those working in the swimming pool and the cofffehouse.

NOT WORTH PAYING..... that's all i could say during my recent stay in the Hotel. Worst xperience ever. Winning point is only the beach. I agreed with all the comments given earlier by others, totally agreed.

Management has to do something with the rooms, refurbishment/ maintenance need to be done. Not only charging the guest with big sum of room rates.

Food quality in the restaurant also need to be improved.... alot!!!

Was staying in 1 bedroom Suite... what a marvelous facilities stated in the room as published in their website... BUT.... please don't trust whatever is stated there. NO Telephone in the room, NO ASTRO, NO REMOTE TV, SMELLY Balcony and... don't feel like 'VACATION' at all.

Hotel guest are paying big sum of money to 'njoy' the beach/ view, BUT PUBLIC also can do so without having to pay the same amount. They can njoy the parking (even parking next to swimming pool/ beach), they can organise BBQ party by the beach, having fun till the next morning. I could say that it little bit more or less like they are having Car Boot sale!! Its totally UNFAIR for the hotel guest.

Reception staff need to be trained to be more friendly please!!...

This is my 1st and last visit to this Hotel..... not recommended at all!!

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer Iluvmaldives, Thank you for your feedback to us. Yes, we are aware that some apartment rooms need refurbishment in which we are progressing and undertaking. With regards to the shortcomings of the apartment unit, we just recently invested in new cabling and telephones in all apartment rooms, also your unit does come with an individual ASTRO decoder. We shall look into it why was your TV remote missing. In addition to that, we would like to inform you that the Resort is not fully owned by the Hotel. There are several apartment units that are owned by individuals and even companies. All activities at the Resort such as BBQ will have to go through an official request with the management which is applicable to all owners and guests alike. Our security team and Resort Manager are aware of the following BBQ and it was authorized by our Resort team. Nonetheless, we shall take note of your concerns and matters highlighted as we strive to further improve our Resort. Thank you. Warm Regards,

I would say, the location wise is great, but other than that, NOTHING is worth. I travel with my other family members, my father, my mother, sister with baby and hubby, preggy sister with hubby, me hubby and our infant. This is the worst decision for me to stay here.

It was school holiday, and I already pay full upfront 3 days before our holiday. I call them to confirm the time to check in, they inform me its should be after 3. We came there at 3 for check in, everyone is tired for a long distance journey, babies is cranky, the preggy wife is super tired already, the weather is super hot at this time, and we just want to have a nice bath and sleep.

At first they said, its gonna takes a while, but who knows.. its takes 2 HOURS! and its not only happen to me, I can see all the other families keep asking the receptionist about thier room, some even came at 12! with babiess, and old folks. Some is doing their company family day, and their bosses didnt get the room?! what kind of "PROFESSIONAL" attitude and management this company shows? This is killing me.

we all felt very HOT with this situation, and the receptionist area is not cold also, they have fans (well, they should invest in aircond) but when we asked them to switch on, they said - its broke already. They have 4 fans! all is broke? this people just dont value their customers.

We finnally check in at 5.00 pm.. crazy huh? Go into the penthouse, wasnt that great. I know its huge and spacious, but we all felt emotionally abused and super tired with the drama. And my preggy sister is fall down with high fever due to the Hot weather, and have to wait that long under that weather --> trust me, they dont have proper place for their customer to wait for the check in process, all of us have to sit at anywhere under the sun!.

I ask to see the manager, because i think this is not fair to us, and just to much for them to do this kind of thing to their customer, and guess what? the manager had gone back from work, not even dare to say sorry for the whole situation. Again, what kind of "PROFESSIONAL" management you have here.

Overall, other than interact with the staff, our holiday is OK. The room? I hate to see those toilets. Its poorly maintained. The aircond, still function I would say, but, the casing almost fall down. Got weird smells in the pantry also. Overall the room is so-so. Not worth the price which is almost RM 1.3K per day. This price also dont include breakfast.

Just in case, if the regency's management read this comments, please... your room and your service does not worth the price that you are soooooooo overcharged. In terms of stars choosen in tripadvisor, I am actually want to select less than 1 star.

This is the worst decision for me to stay here. It was school holiday, and I already pay for 2 day and only stay for 1 day.Once you stepped into the lobby area you will instantly noticed the building is poorly maintained, dirty wet floors, ripped benches. We rented a 4 beds penthouse which was spacious, but it was dirty and very badly maintained. The toilet seat was loose, dirty and stained, the taps were leaking and worst of all the water pressure was so low that you'll take hours to rinse yourself clean. The beach front is nicely situated but there were lots of flies and a lot of rubbish.
