Went there for an office event. The front desk was responsive but could be friendlier as we need to ask for certain thing to get the info liked where's the breakfast going to be, where's our event being held. The lobby has some telescopes and pictures of night skies for decoration purposes but didn't really lift the mood.
Hallway towards the room was also decorated with the pictures of night skies but looks dated. The room tried to reflect the feel of observatory which is just across the hotel building but somehow looked like any ordinary hotel room with some space decoration. Other electrical appliances in the room are working. Tv channels were limited to mostly local.
Breakfast buffet is kinda limited too. Two main dishes like nasi lemak and some other nasi or fried mee. Continental breakfast menu is available too. The hotel has a pool area but you need to cross the parking area. It's nearer to the observatory compare to the hotel. The beach is accessible during low tide in the morning but there's like a pipe you need to pass to get to the main beach.
Shops & restaurants are kinda far from the hotel so driving is advisable. There's a very small night market organised by the hotel's restaurant on Saturday' night. The observatory too will put a telescope out for public to view the moon for free but they didn't explain much. You can visit the observatory' huge telescope too at designated time but it is accessible by stairs only as far as I know. It is chargeable for non guest but during my visit there, there's no explanation too.

We needed somewhere to stay while driving through the Port Dixon area and found the Klana Beach Resort. There was plenty of parking outside despite the resort being very busy. The reception was very helpful and we had a room on the top floor. The room was clean but very basic and a view out to sea. A large comfortable double bed with pictures of the night sky above. Opposite the hotel is an observatory. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation while we were there, The restaurant was designed to cater for domestic local palettes rather than our western style (example we found everything too fishy for our tastes). So I write this with an advisory that many people may like the food more than I did but it would not alter my score as the restaurant was basic canteen style and designed at a conference or group trade. We were looked after, the place was clean but was basic and the food and restaurant not to our particular liking so we would not stay again unfortunatkly.

Generally the room is clean. The issues here are the aircon not working properly. Make noises at night. Flushing system is terrible. Cannot use. Bad maintenance. Please do something about the room condition.
The staff is friendly and accomodative. I ask for a room near the lift, my request was met.

One of the great experience i have had in this resort in PD. Good parking space, spacious swimming pool area and good access to the beach. Got an Observatory besides the hotel. Calm and humble place to stay.

We are a family of 4 -our boys are 13 and 11 and we usually need two rooms. Here they has a superior room with 2 super single beds which to me looks like a queen sized bed. We accidentally chanced upon this place which only opened 1.1.2012. It's in mint condition clean, everything works well, the staff are friendly and my god -it's the best value for money we've seen in PD -and it comes with breakfast. It's also got an observatory for looking at the moon as it belongs to the state Islamic religious council so Islamic music plays in the corridors pf the hotel. They said we might be able to go up the observatory tonight - its a full moon! Lots of street food walking distance from here and a nice enough beach but there are rocks and choral so you,ve got to be careful.

The hotel room is clean with very friendly front desk staff, but can't speak well in English. They responded to me in Malay language instead.
Food at the Coffee house is okay. Simple but tasteful.
Keep up the good work.

This is a Syariah Compliant Hotel! So dont expect any night club or booze. Nice and Clean Hotel. Pool under repair unfortunately. Far from main road. Near to the sea but no beach. Room can easily accommodate 2 + 2. Training room is accross the parking lot with no cover for rain or shine. Corner room wifi reception not good.

Great location near the beach, the events hall was with a beautiful view of the beach. The amnities such aa the surau, and toilets were near our hall were well kept. Rooms were nice and clean. Food was good anf tasty. Beach and swimming pool near.
However- the service was awful! We paid for extra food but did not recieve. There was another gp with us at the time but it wasnt fair they did not allocate separate reserved tables for us but instead asked us to wait for the food. Which in the end was not enough and not the same as the initial food.
Slow service for check in. We were promised by 3 but our check in took as long as 6pm which was so unproffesional.
I would not advice a big group for this hotel. This would have been a perfect getaway
