Booking via website was smooth. I booked twice as i've selected a wrong date on the 1st booking. i was attended by very helpful staff to cancel my 1st booking. On the arrival date, i was attended by a warm and yet another helpful receptionist. Checking - in was a breeze. The room was acceptable. I managed to get sea view. However the condition of the room and facilities can be or perhaps should be improved. The aircond unit was loud. The window need some cleaning. There was some liquid spills in the refrigerator and i can feel sands on the bed. As there's no phone to call for the room service, i texted the number given to get someone to clean the fridge. I can clean it my self, but need some cloth or something to absorb the liquid. i brushed the sand on the bed myself as i need to get some rest. It was almost 1 hr before my text was replied. After 2 hrs from their reply, nobody came. i texted again but they reply almost 1.5hrs after. And unfortunately until i checked out, nobody came to clean the fridge. The breakfast buffet should be improved. I went to get my breakfast around 9 am. There's not much variety of food to choose from as compared to other 4 starred hotels i've been to. There are still a lot of guest getting their breakfast that time. The cold & hot drinks was empty. Have to wait about 10 mins before they were refilled. There were a lot of spoons but no forks around. Couldn't find a staff to ask for it. By the time i see a staff around im already eating my breakfast. The food taste good though. All in all is not bad but not good either.

We checked into Corus “Paradise” resort in PD & was shocked to see the condition of the room. The toilet was dirty & still has lots of sand in shower, the drawer has torn & like rat bitten sugar sachets , bird feathers & hair in floor. As we turned the pillow a dead cockroach was between the pillows! They changed a room for us but really spoiled my mood ! I met up with the manager & showed her the video & pictures of the room & she was apologetic. What paradise??? Room dirty like HELL! What a shame & wonder how they get their star!

I was told to wait when i want to check in around 2.20 pm. They said they will call before check in time, before 3 pm to collect the key card. But they didn’t. To check in and find the registration desk, I have to go 2 downstairs or ride a smelly, small lift. The room is old and dirty. From the floor to the toilet. Funny. There is no lighting in the room, except on the bedside but 3 lights in the toilet. Not even lights on the study table!!. I can’t do my works and the room is too gloomy for anything. To my surprise, someone has successfully opened our room, using her card, saying our room is hers. Such a scary and untolerable acts from her and the hotel management. But, it not the worse yet. The room aircond didnt work. We told the management. But they said they cannot repair it as the aircond compressor is located on the next room. And the customer is out, and we need to wait. They sent us a fan. But the room is a closed tight. It is hot like hell. Then, they closed the issue like that. As we want them to repair it, they said it cannot be repaired!!! They asked us to move to another room around 1 am. We have kids with us. We have opened up all our begs. We have already in pyjamas. One of the kid is already slept in. And guess what?? The room is farrrrrrr away. On another level. Need to through all the dirty corridor and lift to go there. Should i just left all my stuffs in the free access room as anybody can just enter the room?? We asked for a refund, and will just check out instead of going through all the hell, hot room, or packing up all oir stuffs. We cannot believe them another room is better as our current room is in a really bad shape. They said we could have a refund as we booked the hotel through Agoda. Such a stupid excuse from the so well know and popular hotel brand. I hate their Tilted hanging tv. Old chair cushion. Different remote to aircond brands. The worse thing is, all discussion or complaint from us need to use only whatsapp message. We cannot call to discuss with them. But they can call to us directly using the hotel room. Why?????? Because they know, their hotel rooms are the real hell in this world!! They will only listen to your complaint if only they feel so. I paid RM174 for this room hell. With that amount you can have many other better hotel rooms in malaysia. With corus, not worthy a penny.

This hotel should be renovated! The doors in the bathroom and the general state of the bathroom was bad. The room was basic. Curtains not in a good state of repoir. There was no air-con remote and we had to request for one. I was glad that the stay was for one night. Not a pleasurable stay at all.

Check out my previous contributions I don't usually write a bad review but this is unavoidable. I'm not a fussy person but the rooms condition were so poor until we had to changed 3 rooms. First room given, the toilet couldn't flush. Second room the aircond doesn't work, the room was dirty and didn't clean up. Third room, shower tab loose and no hot water but it was almost 12am we were so tired and just decided to stay. To make it worse, there's no direct line to contact the reception, you got to use your handphone to call them. Lift very slow and cramped so we decided to use the staircase. That was on Friday I believe it could be a lot worse on weekend. The only good thing is the staff was very helpful. The beach was not really clean but swimmable. You have to be careful though as there's some dead corals in the water. I've been staying at this hotel about 15 years ago and the conditions was already bad and now it is still bad. Sorry not gonna be back to this so called 4 star hotel.

When i book this hotel, i looking at the rate and star.. shown 4 star hotel,,should be good enough right? However, its not in my expectations.. the hotel so old.. had two lif to go up and down for whole room.. then the price really unreasonable for this kind of stay… even though the location is by the beach.. but still,, the cleanliness in the room were unacceptable.. and the fridge, telephone, water pipe not function well.. the complain has be made directly to the staff,,but the staff could say..”its usual complain” and no one take it seriously.. i dont recommend others to stay here This hotel should have the renovation for the sake of four star hotel and the name brand CORUS

We spent a couple of nights in this claim to be 4 stars hotel, which is maximum 2 at best. The hotel and the rooms are run down... The lagoon is dirty (see the pics) and used by local fishermen. The beach nearby is dirty and has a drainage pipe entering the sea...guess the quality of lagoon water and send cleanness?..The hotel pool water was yellowish color during the day, only looked clean in the morning..meaning filters are not functioning good enough to clean the water during the pool working hours. Parking was another issue: too little space for too many cars. The rooms: beds not stable, whole ambience is from last century without any charm...just very old...the only new thing in the room is the a/c...that's it. No bottled drinking water was provided. The fridge wasn't working. IMHO never ever come back again...ever!!!

However please be advised that hotel is in the midst of upgrading, we are unable to shut down totally for the major upgrading. Hotel will be upgraded by then, should you plan to revisit.
