You will regret it. The staff is the worst staff I have met in whole my 6 month travel. The restaurant/cafe are even worse! It is first time in my life I meet staff like that. No respect at all, they talk to costumers like every costumer is lying...
We visited Tioman in March - although reaching the place can be quite a task, the island itself is cosy and pristine. Juara Mutiara is a good resort. The rooms were clean, the cafe served good food. We were lucky to get a room that was on the beach - which was spectacular, especially waking up to the sounds of the shore every morning. They offer pickup and dropoff to the ferry (which will take you 20-30 minutes) at an additional cost. They also arrange for snorkelling trips for a price. The staff was nice, and the location of the resort is nice.
Score-Average(3 over 5) We stay for 3d2n..without resort package as family holiday(with kids 1yrs to 7yrs). The resort 30mins from jetty tekek where need to rent transport(only 4wd)can go to resort as location on the hill.Limited transport if used without resort package.Transport charge Rm25/head,Kids rm20. If used resort transport, charge for one car -rm150/trip.Means rm300 for 2ways.Very costly esp for fmily.Motorcycle rent rm80/day and high risk if use to go Tekek Overall, beautiful beach &quiet place as far away from town(Tekek).Limited transportation&very costly esp if would like to go nearest town to buy survenior, etc. Tekek is main area that all shops/restaurant, Pusat Taman Marin, etc.Chalet, air cond need to change new as even temp show 17'C like 28'C. VERY WORST.Bathroom door broken and can't lock. Chalet price cheaper than other resort but there is hidden cost need to know.We spend more money for transportation only.Too sad this holiday!. …
Recently stayed at Juara for 7 nights we decided to stay an additional night on the island and moved to Juara Muitara Resort for the final night. The room (seaside bungalow) was expensive in comparison to other bungalows/resorts on the beach which were also a lot nicer! The reason for this review is to comment on the dispair of the bathroom, it was very unclean (hair in the sinks and bath, mould), it was consistently wet with an overflow tap running out of the toilet and onto the ground (we had to shut the water main to the bathroom to stop the noise and water build up), lastly the water, uncleaniness and lack of sunlight meant the bathroom smelt and this permiated throughout the room. You could smell it at night. The bungalow balcony had no seats and was therefore useless. If we stayed our full time at Juara Mutiara here we would of moved after the first night. …
We did last minute book with this resort for 2 rooms for my family. Good location, near to few restaurant and near to the beach. Room is good condition, air-con is cold and ready on when we just checked in. Staffs are all helpful. But room didn't come with drinking water bottle, so if you plan to stay here you need to bring your own drinking water and you can buy it from their mini shop at check in counter. Overall is ok.
