Though it was my second visit barely after a month, I'm disappointed with the service rendered. Firstly during reservations requested to assist for the room on the first floor however this was not given. Secondly no housekeeping throughout the stay. But felt at least have a change of towels. But housekeeping was just too busy. Thirdly, the sound proofing of the resort is poor. U can literally hear footsteps and conversation when your next door neighbour walks and speaks Fourthly, Resort wanted to charge for a misplaced key card. Though it is RM20 but I do not feel this is necessary. Most of the hotels would even encourage the guest to keep the key card as a memento/souvenir as it promotes the hotel's branding Lastly was charged for bedsheets laundry. As mentioned no housekeeping service for four days, definitely the bedsheets were not changed and will be dirty. Resort claim my bedsheets have some stains which I am unsure if it was from the previous guests. Anyway I do not wish to argue and pay for the cleaning charges. I would not be returning to Aman Resort Tioman again. I just felt that the hotel is finding ways to make guests pay extra to make additional revenue. Besides the service and hardware of the resort, nothing impressive From Dissatisfied Guest

We have to take ferry from Mersing Jetty to Paya Jetty. Paya Jetty have Aman Tioman Beach Resort and Paya Debloc Village. The surrounding is very wild and beautiful atmosphere to chill out, The hotel has convenient store, restaurants, bar and entertainment room. when we were there have the peaceful time because of the atmosphere and you can disturb wild animals by any chance. Our package have 3 buffet meals included for everyday. We also easily can find food surrounding our hotel. Few coffee shops always have live band going on. The best part is there has duty free shop for alcohol ( beer, soju and hard liquor ) you also can enjoy drink and some snack enjoy at balcony with your partner. Resort there got many fun entertainment like pool game, water sports, fishing, terrain vehicle activity.

We stayed at the Aman Tioman Resort as a large family group, each family staying in a “Deluxe” room. Firstly Aman claim the resort is 4-star, but with a lack of accessibility and the condition and cleanliness of the resort, a rating of 2 to 3 stars max. I have stayed in nicer, cleaner 3 star resorts with superior facilities. Firstly let’s start with the “Deluxe” room: Condition of the bed room furniture is ok and the room is quite large with 1 double bed and 2 singles. Between the beds are some power outlets with international adapters and USB ports built in. But it is clear that up keep and cleanliness is not a top priority. Walls & ceilings have damp stains, skirting boards are filthy and covered in dust. Bedding and towels have light stains and is looking tired. But the bathroom / wet room is what really let’s the room down. Bathrooms were smelly, shower drains didn’t drain sufficiently and the whole bathroom floods. Tile grouting in the shower and around the bathroom walls are covered in mould. The stand for the sink is made of square section tubular steel and is covered in rust that stains fabrics that happen to come into contact with it. Ventilation of the shower is also non existent so the bathroom ceiling is also covered in mould. Housekeeping was also quite poor and it only appears that they tidy and make the beds. Bathrooms were not cleaned and in one of our rooms, dead flying ants remained next to the sink even after the room was supposed to have been cleaned. Pool area: We visited the pool area and didn’t deem it acceptable for the kids to play in it. Just like the rooms, cleanliness is not a top priority with lots of leaves, some rubbish and even clothes price tags floating or sunk to the bottom. With the pool surrounded by the natural hillside and jungle, leaves will inevitably fall into the water but quantity can be reduced through regular cleaning. Restaurant: Breakfast was okay, but selection was quite limited. Dinner was also ok and the kids enjoyed the food more than the Chinese restaurant next to the hotel. Coffee stall and seafood bbq stalls were closed during our stay. Amenities: Toilets were smelly and made worse by the ventilation fan at the entrance which just recirculated it. Again the facilities were tired with a lot of mould in grouting and in the silicone sealant. Toilet paper was non existent throughout the three days we stayed. One of the staircases up to the restaurant didn’t have any hand rails and was a challenge for the smaller kids and quite dangerous. We didn’t see any lifts up to the 1st floor, but as we are all able bodied, we didn’t require one. Reception Staff: friendly and attentive and one of the plus sides of the resort. Our four rooms were all put together and we were given early check in a late checkout without any extra cost. Dive school was excellent, friendly staff, good equipment and good selection of PADI courses on offer. Overall I wouldn’t stay at Aman Tioman Resort again, cleanliness just wasn’t acceptable and clearly not a priority for the resort. It was a shame since this is one of the newer resorts on the island. We were quite happy to leave after just 2 nights.

Came here with a grp of 10. Friends are mostly divers. Am pleasantly surprised with good service and friendly staff here. Shout out to Ringo who is very attentive, friendly and always attempt to find out if there's anything that he can do ie. Make bookings, if we have any need etc keep up the great job and we will be back for sure. The only set back is there's no WiFi at the room as connection is extremely poor. For this we have to hang out at the lobby to get access to the WiFi

11 of us stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, rooms are spacious, good things is with 2 attached bathroom that we don't need to fight, staffs are friendly and we had great snorkeling trip, meals are good, the only thing is the F&B staffs and chefs should pay attention on replenish the food, we went to the buffet dinner at 7.45pm, and the guests who came early had already finished most of the food, empty satey and otak-otak, just left a bit of pasta, they should replenish the food but they didn't, bit disappointing with that. Hope they can improve this in future, otherwise it will be a prefect stay

Popped in here on our first night in Tioman. Just wanted a bite to eat. All Malaysian food and seafood. Had sweet and sour chicken, fried squid, bok Choi and rice all washed down with a few beers. Food was delicious. Some of the nicest squid we’ve had in a long time. Lots of stray cats wandering around looking for scraps. Quick, clean, hot and simple.

Location is perfect, walking distance from jetty (About 2 mins walk). Room is spacious with 2 queen beds, and comes with balcony. Hot shower and strong water flow. Decent beds. Safe is available in rooms too. Some noise from room above can be heard sometimes (walking noise). Restaurant : Ocean Bliss (Chinese) food is decent and fast service and large portion too. Buffet breakfast not too many choices but still ok. Had black pepper crab for dinner and that was great too. Wifi : ConnectMeNow works great even from room towards back. RM10 for 1GB. Went kayaking to the far right island, rented for RM40 for 2 pax kayak per hour. Great views and soft sands, highly recommend. Overall : Basic hotel, decent service and rooms. No faults except for no free wifi. Will return.

Location is good of course, but anyway there is no much options :) Hotel rooms are the same as on the website (but... see in the dislikes) The hotel is quite in the jungle, so it was really nice to see a whole family of monkeys around, or some lizards crossing the hotel, like we are the show, and not them. As I was saying, the rooms were as expected, but they are like prefabricated houses and the walls and roofs are very light. So not soundproofed at all. We were staying on the ground floor, so we could hear our neighbors of the first floor very loudly (they were not very discreet neither I must say). Staff was a little bit overwhelmed because of the period which was very busy (public holiday weekend). Once everybody left, they went back to normal and they are actually very nice.

Tioman is a duty free island with beautiful clear water, good for snorkelling and diving, great hotel and good seafood, very friendly staff, rooms are clean and huge, I would recommend this hotel, island hopping is fun and boat can be rented just in front of the hotel, walking distance to local food shops and duty free shop for alcohol ,

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to share this excellent place here but I've had a wonderful stay. Value for money, great location (couldn't ask for a better one), friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast too. Only drawback would be the lack of Wifi.
