Melina Beach Resort is a family friendly eco-resort with a focus on personal service. Situated on a secluded beach with comfortable and rustic accommodation, we provide a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. Melina Beach is surrounded by primary rainforest and is blessed by a healthy coral reef just off the beach. We enjoy the simple pleasures offered by nature and the company of those around us, promoting an environment of relaxation for our guests to take in the natural surroundings.
It was the perfect place to unwind. The staff is very professional and kind. We were able to switch off from the stress of the big city here. In addition to the general manager, who is extremely knowledgeable about maritime life, special thanks to the chef and his lam ribs, which in turn are second to none. 5 stars without any deduction and a big thanks for the wonderful time and the great snorkel trips and massages!

Amazing Place. You live right by nature in big luxurious chalets. Private Beach. Beutiful surroundings. The Staff is so professional and kind. The food is also great. The website picture does not make it justice. If you go to tioman, go to melina!

Great beach to relax and snorkel away from the crowd. The rooms are large and well I tegrated in the natural landscape I was deceived by the food that you have to take there ( no other option as hotel is isolated by the sea) it’s very basic-average in terms of quality and a lot more expensive than anywhere else in the island… The hotel should consider increasing standards

We were actually staying at Berjaya in Tekek Village. We took a water taxi for a day trip to Genting and did a little walk round the coast. We stumbled upon Melina Beach resort and decided to stop for lunch. We were greeted with such warmth and kindness and hospitality. The restaurant was spick and span, spotless and clean, such a welcoming place for a beach side restaurant. The food, was the best we had on the island! If I do go back to Tioman, I would love to stay here.

What a truly amazing place to stay. The people here are fantastic. They just couldn't do enough for us from the boat that picked us up at the jetty to the warm welcome on the beach. Eimah and the owner really take care of the guests. They went out of their way to cook special meals for our kids. It felt like we were staying in the home if an old family friend. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are simple but incredibly clean. The kids loved the bunk beds. We swam at the perfectly clean beach sorklled and went in the Kayak. They organised an excursion for us in their boat. Just a really really wonderful place to stay if you are going to Tioman this is definitely the best place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful, simple and welcoming but the warmth of the staff and the care they take make it a sublime experience…

We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay in the Beach Front Chalet ….. sharing the resort and private beach with just one other family for the first couple of nights probably make the place felt more exclusive (as it was weekdays and government just approved interstate travels). We didn’t leave the resort at all, for 3 nights which i think is manageable if you have some friends or family around. Food are good and some Asian dishes are really delicious…… probably same price range as what you pay in KL restaurants/Pubs. Thanks the team in Melina!

We stayed 7N at Melina Beach Resort and the stay was superb. Located directly at the Beach in the middle of the jungle you can spot a lot of e.g. butterflies and just in front of the resort you can go easily snorkeling. The whole team is extremely friendly and takes care of all their guests. This remote place is highly recommended and very good to wind down

Confirming our initial room reservations online with Melina was a breeze. Our queries were timely answered and we were very much assured prior to our trip. Once our ferry arrived at Paya Beach, a Melina staff was already standing by with a smaller motorboat to transfer us to the Resort. It was a quick 5 minute boat ride and we were received very warmly by Lyza Jalani, the resort manager and her team. We stayed for 2 nights in the Egret Room and it was perfect for us. Far enough from the main reception area but practically on the beach itself - so that our 3 young kids could run out and play whilst the parents chill out on the balcony. Bunk beds for the girls, a comfortable double for the parents and another single for our boy. There was no kettle in the room (although you can loan one from the reception) but drinking water, hot water and beverages are readily available at the resort restaurant so it was not an issue. No TV and wifi in the room means that we could truly disconnect - A bliss. We enjoyed the resort mainly because there was so much to see - From exploring tide pools during low tides, climbing over the rock formations that line the beach, kayaking to nearby villages or just lazing in the warm waters. Planning excursion trips around Tioman was also easy and Lyza was always on hand with advice on trips that were suitable for our young kids. Food was definitely excellent! The variety, portions and quality for our dinners were outstanding. Lyza had also graciously arranged for a birthday cake (made by the resort chef) to be presented to my wife. We were very grateful. Checking out on the last day was also fuss free. Two nights at Melina Beach Resort is definitely not enough. Kudos to Lyza and team! We will definitely be back - next time hopefully for longer. …
