The Beach Shack is a small family owned "resort", it's a laid back hippie-style accommodation with a surf atmosphere. It is owned by Tim, an Australian surfer, and his wife Izan. Here you can enjoy the beach, the sun, the palm trees, boat trips, jungle tracking. Or feel free to go fishing ,snorkeling and many others. The Beach Shack is located on Juara Beach. Juara is the nicest part of the island.
was there at ramadan, therefore even more empty and quiet, a dream beach for a few people only. very pleasing bungalow village and restaurant/hangout area (i am not into hippie stuff, it's just made with love and apart from luxury atmosphere). friendly and helpful people working there, good and reasonable priced food and nemos coffee-waffle-shake-cake beach shop right at the restaurant rounds everything up. i felt home there for some days. since this is in juara village, it is quite remote and you will need a transfer everytime to want to go to another village - and this costs. for me it worth it, juara has one of the better beaches.

Loud singing and music all night, not peaceful at all and not respectful. Unhappy, wouldn’t recommend, don’t’ ever go there hoping to relax, you will be disappointed. music is very loud and despite me kindly asking to lower music it continued.

If you're looking for a getaway from the city and thinking of going on a holiday, this is the place to be. Have been here 3 times already and will keep coming back. The whole experience is just great with very affordable rates and good vibes. The people are very friendly and always willing to help.

Staff, food, location, cleanliness and experience was simply perfect. We had a group of 6 of us and our memorable stay will be life lasting. One of the highlights of our trip was our snorkeling trip provided by the resort. I have spent time with dive shops around SE Asia and this is one of the best for making a day in the sun fabulous. Imogen and Din are both so knowledgeable, patient and kind!!! We took a trip to Coral Island and WOW! Imogen taught one of our friends to swim and she built confidence in him to do so. Another party in our group was uncomfortable with the water but by the time our day was done, they both became swimmers and have so much more confidence in the water. Imogen and Din, thank you so much for that. Also the food and drinks provided was a wonderful bonus! We had some choppy waters but the captain was amazing and made us all feel safe.…

The Beach Shack is located in Juara, Tioman. A few friends got together for a diving trip and decided to stay at the Beach Shack since our dive operator @Juara Scuba Academy is located in Beach Shack. Athirah, the owner of these chalets are awesome. Her staffs are warm and helpful in everyway and we felt at home during our stay. We stayed in the humble A Frame accommodation with a bath attached. A waffle/coffee/juice stand @driftwoodbeachcafe is located right next to the restaurant of beach shack. A must try waffles with tea/coffee by Mr. Memo, a cool surfer dude.

My girlfriend and I stayed one week at Beach Shack, on our second day I wanted to take a coconut from a palm tree next to our chalet but a person started shouted from a small house 20 meters far, at the beginning didn't think was shouting at me but then I saw the person waving then I approached and was shocked with his grotesque insults, but still came closer to talk and clarify the reason for his insults. A man came out of the house with a machete in hand shouting bunch of bad words at me, it was a local person quite drunk, it was a very intimidating situation but I chose to try to calm him while he kept threatening me claiming that all the palm trees belonged to him, I apologized for tryingtto take the coconut but didn't work. My girlfriend noticed the situation and came quickly to calm the violent man, we moved away from the scene and were shocked for a while. We did not know who to go to report what happened since most of the staff of Beach Shack are very young people and we didn't want to put them in danger. Days later we met the owner of the hotel, Mr. Tim, a very kind person to whom I informed what happened and agreed to go later to clarify the situation, a couple of days later he told me that he would talk to the subject later because he was not at home when he had gone. I hope that Mr. Tim has taken action on the matter. I decided to write this review hoping that no traveler is going to be in danger for this man, I honestly believe that the situation should be put in knowledge of the authorities of the island to ensure the safety of travelers. Apart from this awful episode I can tell we had a great time at Beach Shack.…

Stayed for 3 nights, enjoy every minutes of it. The chalet concept is unique and colourful, the amenities are basic, just what we expected. The staff response is also very fast, either via email, WhatsApp, or verbally. Honorable mention : Etty, she runs the show! Have to reduce one star/point in this review because we do think that the food quality can be improve, especially during lunch and dinner, but they do serve wonderful milk coffee! Our room also leaked on one day, believed from the upper room toilet, however they quickly offered to change the room. Will i come again? Hell yes!

We stayed at Beach shack on Tioman island for 4nights. The shack organised transport for us on arrival and we had a smooth journey to them. The chalets are absolutely beautiful and super cool!!! A cool beach vibe with a communal dining/chilling area that was decorated with such precision and detail! Lots of surf boards, sofas, sayings...all intended for a relaxed and chilled out stay!! The chalets themselves were beautifully decorated with hammocks on the balcony! The room had a comfortable bed with fans/ A/C. The bathroom was a little basic but part of the beach shack experience. The breakfast ( roti canai/ delicious pancakes/ epic french toast) were included in the stay price. Then open for lunch and dinner! All really well priced and fresh juices on tap. For four nights stay we paid £20 in total for meals and lots of drinks! The staff were always helpful and chilled out. The owner Timothy was great! He introduced himself to all the guests and would share tales of his own crazy life adventures. The shack is based on a quiet part of the beach with only a few other chalets on either side. It was very peaceful and I felt very relaxed! No horrible creepy crawlies on our visit. Options for snorkelling/waterfall hike/diving also there if you want. I would 100% recommend this place and felt I was almost in a beach heaven here! Thanks so much!…

Fantastic hosts, friendly and relaxing. Juara is a perfect spot to wind down and finish a trip and Beach Shack wins hands down. We were told that more than three days on Tioman would be too much but we stayed here for seven nights and could easily have stayed longer. It's no Hilton hotel, extremely basic, fraying at the edges and the small A Frame huts are not much bigger than a large À frame tent (a squeeze for two). The bedding is worn and mozzie nets have holes in. But there's a fan in each room and some rooms have aircon. If you're looking for luxury and creature comforts, best go to a resort. Beach shack is strategically placed, right on the beach with a very chilled open plan 'Driftwood café /restaurant' where you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner or just laze about in one of their hammocks. Alcohol is not served, but you can buy beers from the little bar along the beach and put it in the communal fridge. Etty, who works behind the desk and more or less runs the place is wonderful. We felt so at home here. We will be back !…
