Went on 22nd September for my mom’s birthday, staff was super friendly, love the ambience, so chill and cozy, it might not be the perfect place but its the best, the breakfast was delicious, the roti canai is to die for, 10/10 would definitely come again

Family room is very spacious for 6 of us. The pool is clean and the breakfast spreads tho not much but very tasty. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Beach and the main action are just few minutes walk from the hotel which is very convenient. Will surely booked the room here again in our next trip to pangkor.👍👍

We took the Superior King Room for our 3 days 2 night stay at Pangkor Island. The room served us a beautiful mountain view, with spacious clean room and the grand touch of wood floors. Mr Ragu (the host) was a wonderful man. He gave us a lot of information regarding the best food to get in Pangkor as well as places to visit. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a quiet retreat and its located at Teluk Nipah ,the most happening place in Pangkor.

Stay : 15th Sept - 16th Sept. Room Number : 32. I think I checked in with the owner, an Indian guy wearing glasses. When I filled in the book 'Desaru", he jokingly said 'Desaru, pantai jugak'. He is very nice and warm. We had an excellent stay here. Location : Tucked in the small (also quite main) street right near the Teluk Nipah beach. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance to the beach, only 3 mins. Joe is a perfect place to stay and a very nice host. Close to the Inn, there are numerous eateries and souvenir shops. guests can just walk on the beach and pick whichever package of water activities that they wish to enjoy. During the night, Teluk Nipah is alive and you can just walk to the live band area from Joe. Overall, it is located right at the heart of everything. Reception : I went to a lot of traditional beach resort before and I know I can expect the reception to be small and sometimes unattended. I was right. The reception area is super small facing the main street. The check in was done by Joe himself and the owner assures us that the room will be ready by the time we finish snorkelling. Furthermore, we arrive a bit early around 11am, so of course we can just be out for hours and come back later. Joe let us keep pour rucksacks at the small room behind while we go out. Room : Number 32, is PERFECT. The room is just about the right size. Not too large and not too small. The bed is amazing, the decoration is simple yet nice touch. We didnt even try the TV, I mean, why would I want to watch TV while I am in Pangkor for a holiday. The bathroom is spacious. The hot water is working really well. The floor and the wall is so unique that I felt like I am back being at sea. I used to work on an ocean going vessel and some small small fisherman trawler, so this reminds me so much about that. The room is not accompanied with toothbrushes but a convenience store is 4 mins walk away, and cheap. The towel is thick but soft. AC works well Facility : As per picture that you can see anywhere, there is a swimming pool right in the heart of the Inn. The worker had been cleaning it nicely, I saw them picking up items from the inside of the pool. But an hour later, I saw a facemask inside the pool. Kudos for the workers for cleaning it again after that. The hotel has no elevator but equipped with a ramp. So for some old person or someone with health disability, you can email or call the Inn for room inquiry for lower ground room. Parking is available for motorcycles. Oh yeah, they do motorcycle rental too. Wifi is super strong in the room. Cleanliness : Top notch. The whole resort is clean. It is not shiny but super clean. Do not expect a beach resort to be spotless with all the wind and sand, so what they did was amazing. Breakfast : The meal was served in the small dining area right in front of the reception. During my stay, we have Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and some traditional kuih. I gotta say, they are amazing. The Roti Canai is soft. And the curry is excellent. During our breakfast session, a pair of hornbills landed on top of the sink. Your staff throw some bread and the birds had some fun eating them. All of us were amazed by the free show that we got to see, and the birds put up a good sound. We just love them. Recommendations : I can see some chairs on my level. It looks like that you have a rooftop-like cafe. But the area is a bit rundown. I would love to see the are being fully used. Must be amazing. Satisfaction : 100%. I hope a lot of travellers will come and stay at this small Inn. It is amazing. And my stay had been super comfortable. Joe is accommodating and a good host. I value every time I stayed there. The next time I visit Pangkor, I will surely stay here again.

Pluses: amazingly comfortable bed, strong A/C, clean pool, Malaysian breakfast and Joe the host Downside: windows have no glass or screens; they have doors that you must open. When windows are closed, rooms are very dark. Wifi only works in lobby area I agonized over the rating above. the inn is only about 4 stars, but Joe’s hospitality adds up to five

We just come back from Pangkor and we stayed for 5 nights in Joe Fisherman Hotel. Wonderful time with a great location to go swimming, fishing, biking.. around the bay and the island. Thanks to Ragu to have been the best "facilitator" during our stay to get us the right advice or contact to make it happen. Great Time. Gilles from Paris

I meant to write this review right after we stayed but life got in the way. While this hotel is not directly on the beach it is still within walking distance to the beach, several shops, and restaurants. The owner is also extremely helpful in arranging tours of the island and recommending restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was great and I loved having traditional food. We also had bird visitors while eating. The cons are that due to the fact that it is a slate room, so not solid walls, it can be a little loud for sleeping and you still have to wear bug spray to sleep. I would stay here again. I thought it was reasonably priced when comparing against some of the other hotels in the area.

Very Bad , I know it is budget hotel , but with rm 163+++ , i think i can better place around that area I am the owner of vacation home , and i have very bad experience It is totally really handle by stingy hotel owner . With rm160+++ can get better option in Pangkor Only 2 pillows given but extra pillow charged rm5 perpillow 🤨 No drinking water , is alright but even dont have kettle , hair dryer . It is very very simple hotel . Each room only have 2 single bedrooms but in Agoda description said have 2 single beds “AND” 1 king size beds , supposed AND must change to “or” , dont confused the guest with fancy advertisement 😞😞😞 Swimming pool dirty No pool attendance even dont care what happen around pool , some guests wearing the normal cloth and swim there cause swimming pool become dirty Simple Breakfast which tapow by local shops , nasi lemak bungkus , roti canai , 2 type of kuih , No night attendance I am looking for the workers around 10.30pm , but no one there , very bad as a hotel owner at peak time SURELY IT IS LAST TRIP TO THAT HOTEL

Thank you for your time for the review. The rate offered by us is the our standard rate and you should check around for the cheaper rate that can accommodate your family stay. We even offer free of charge breakfast for your children's for 2 days. We have suggested for you upon check in that you may choose a bigger room for more comfort. However, you informed us that the room type chosen is fine. We have displayed the charges for extra amnesties at our counter and should not be a issue of any costs incurred for any extra requests. For kettle and hair dryer can be requested at the counter as we provide upon request with no extra costs. We have placed CCTV to have a view of the pool. It is very sensitive issue on restriction of attire for the pool for the Malaysian culture. We do clean our pool frequently to ensure the cleanliness of the pool. Our breakfast is homemade breakfast and not bought from shop. At any time we can be contacted as the business card is over the counter. Probably our staff are attending other work while you looking for them. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Its better to check the best price around before you make a booking in future taht suits for your family. Regards
