I had a fantastic experience in this hostel. I especially liked the beautifully decorated common area and the kindness of the staff. They provided me with info about the best places to visit in Sandakan and the surroundings. And they were very attentive and helped me when I got sick and had to go the hospital. I will never forget that. Thank you very much for the good care you took of me!

I spent 4 nights in this hostel with my boyfriend and we had an amazing stay. The hostel is brand new and the owner is very kind, helpful and friendly. She gave us great advice and tips on where to go and the cheapest tour packages to Kinabatangan river. The room was good and the bed was big and comfortable. The shared bathroom and shower were clean and the wifi worked nicely. All in all, it is probably the best value for money accommodation in Sandakan!

I've been traveling for 30 months, staying in dozens of hostels and Airbnb rooms throughout Central and South America, and Asia, and I have never experienced the high level of care and concern for the comfort and welfare of guests that Vyonne and Sharif have shown. Truly amazing!

Vyonne is an angel. And literally. Unbelievably nice, kind, good-naturedand and ready to help oyu with anything. Before I arrived at her hostel I got ill. She prepared me porridge commonly used in Malaysia as a medicine. Malaysian people prepare this porridge with meat. It did not even stop her that i am vegetarian and preparing it with an egg instead of meat. For free. All the time she cared about whether I'm doing well, she gave me another medicine. Vyonne and her staff is very young but they think like people with a lot of experience. They are kind and humble. You can see that in the first place is not a profit at all. They just want the guests to feel good and comfortable. If you want to support young, hardworking and good people in Malaysia, stay here. The accommodation is cozy, lots of things have been recycled (for example chairs). Everything is very clean. Breakfast is unbeatable. One of the best we ever had in Malaysia. It definitely does not correspond to the price of accommodation (we expected the toasts). Filtered water, coffee and tea are available throughout the day. We extended our stay and if we have ever return to Sandakan it will be because of these incredible people.…

This place is just great! They helped us a lot which fortunately made us change our plans to not miss Sipadan. They took us to local evening market and were generally super nice and welcoming. Breakfast was just amazing and was definitely one of the best we had in Malaysia (been here for 3 months). We would definitely recommend staying in this place to anyone. We wish you good luck in this adventurous business!
