We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Sepilok B&B! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from both the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Rainforest Discovery Centre, making it perfect for exploring the rich wildlife and beautiful surroundings. It was so convenient to have these attractions right on our doorstep.

The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable haven after a long day of jungle adventures. We especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the setting was, allowing us to relax and recharge. The grounds are lovely, and you feel fully immersed in nature.

The staff at Sepilok B&B truly made our stay memorable. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations for things to do and places to see in the area. They made us feel very welcome and at home from the moment we arrived.

The breakfast was also excellent, with a good mix of local dishes and Western options to suit all tastes. We looked forward to starting each day with a delicious meal before heading out to explore.

Overall, Sepilok B&B exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're visiting Sepilok and want to be close to nature with a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, we highly recommend this B&B. We would love to stay here again in the future!

This place is perfect for nature lovers. living here is very close to the greenery of nature. every morning you will hear the chirping of birds flying. It is also one of the hot attractions for bird lovers. there are many birds that can be found here. This place is also close to the Rainforest Discovery Center, only a 5-10 minute walk away. Here you can do Night Walk activities in the evening. The variety you will see at this time. For the Sepilok Orang Utan Center, just 5minute by car and walking is about 15-20minutes. Here you can see closely the Orang Utan. Front of the place is Borneon Sunbear Conservation Center. Here I have some picture from Google. Because I dont have much picture for the place. Only the tree it front of the cafe at Sepilok Bnb that it my own.

Don't forget to have a time to visit the place while you are in Sandakan Sabah.

We had such a great time at B&B Sepilok. The location was so perfect, 5 minutes to the Sanctuaries. It was also possible to do the River Tour from Sepilok with a pick up here. We have to say that the staff were so kind and welcoming. The rooms are very clean, well equipped and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. What a perfect way to spend some time in the nature in a nice environment. We also loved the breakfast and the food at the property so thank you chef! Thank you again B&B Sepilok. From Cedric & Marie, a french couple on a World Tour mission!

I really wish I had taken some photos of the room to share here but just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible once we saw the room! It was genuinely horrible! I cannot believe all the good reviews for this place! There was no electricity when we arrived, so no AC, no fan, no power, no WiFi. We had to wait in the hot, Mosquito ridden reception area until nearly 3pm to be given the key to the room. We were shown on a map how to walk to the building where our room was situated. You have to carry your heavy suitcase along a muddy unpathed track to get to the building. The room was dark with louvre windows, so you can't see outside. It was so damp and mouldy with mould patches all over the ceiling. The mattress and pillows were awful and the bedding was old and manky. It felt like the inside of a shed or garage! We quickly looked on Booking.com (luckily we had an eSim with data on one of our phones) and found Hotel Prima in Sandakan. It's very nice with lots of shops and restaurants all around and also very near Sandakan airport. We got a taxi and escaped that place! I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone!! I'm going to try to get my money back via Booking.com!

Good location. Easy to reach RDC, Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center and the Sunbears. Nice room, good breakfast. But... I am so sorry to say this... the staff could be better trained. My AC was not working and they told me, its because roof is too hot, maybe will work later. They don't take it seriously. Next day after complaining about it again a mechanic showed up and confirmed it's broken. Thx God, he has fixed it. Another thing, they don't let anyone check in earlier, although rooms are ready. Ok, you have no right to check in earlier but they are too strict. All other Hotels in Malaysia I have booked let me check in earlier, of course only if room is ready.

We stayed in a little house with one bedroom that was perfect for our family. The accomodation was not luxurious but it was clean and the location was lovely with beautiful gardens and a short walk to all attractions. The staff were also lovely.

Staff is really friendly and attentive, huge plus for that. They do have a laundry service but our shirts came back totally crinkled ( so no ironing included).
Breakfast is ok, you get some toast, can order eggs, there is butter, coffee, tea and lime juice which I liked. I suggest to offer also milk because not everybody likes creamer in his coffee, real milk would be great.
The room we stayed in was huge, cleanliness average, some stains on the sheets and spider webs, but that was not our problem. The mattress is hard as stone, impossible to sleep, I even took a mattress from the bunk bed to put it additionally on the other bed but did not help. AC works but not really well, there is also a fan on the ceiling but it was soooo hot in the room.
There is nothing to do , really nothing, except visiting the Orang Utans or Rainforest Center, so a working wifi would be great, but it does not work.
You can order lunch at dinner there at given times, food was ok, but portion size really small.
For one night ok, I would not stay longer.
But again staff is super friendly and lovely.

My husband and I stayed at Sepilok B&B with a group of 7 others on a bird watching tour of Sabah, and we highly recommend it. It is in a very good location - only 400m from the entrance to the Rainforest Discovery Centre, with its excellent trails and rainforest canopy walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food is really good (made to order off the menu) - my favourites were the Sepilok B&B special fried rice and the Thai chicken fried rice with egg, they also have ok western options if you are feeling 'riced out', and sell beer and ice-creams.

Our room (with double bed in one of the lodges near reception) was spacious and well air-conditioned, with a large ensuite. It was very clean and comfortable. If you are a birder you will have birding opportunities in the B&B gardens which is an added bonus. The reception/dining are has free wi-fi. Happy to recommend this place as great value for money and an enjoyable stay.

Great location - from Sepilok B&B, it's about 5 minutes walk to the RDC (400m) and 20 minutes walk to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center (1.2km). The grounds are lovely ... very green and lots of trees. There's even a lotus pond within the compound. Very nice to wake up and hear plenty of birds chirping in the early morning.

We had a twin room with a fan and attached bathroom, located in First Lodge of Sepilok B&B (RM68 for one night). It was one of the older buildings and in need of a spruce-up. The bed was comfy enough. They do have other types of accommodation but these were not available at the time. Breakfast was a simple fare - toast, jam, kaya, coffee, tea, fruits (bananas & papaya) and fried noodles. As the B&B was conveniently close to RDC, we had lunch at the B&B after our morning visit and returned to RDC in the afternoon. The food was average and cooked to order.

The staff helped call a taxi for us to get to the airport - it turned out to be a private vehicle and cost us RM40. We were probably overcharged but we did not want to be late.

We booked to stay at Sepilok B&B based on a recommendation from family who had stayed there earlier this year and we were not disappointed. We had 4 nights here in mid August and would definitely recomend it, it's basic but clean and reasonably priced.

We chose to stay in one of the deluxe rooms at 95MYR, a 'semi-detached' room with aircon and it's own private verandah. It was a surprisingly large room with bunk beds as well as a double bed which was very comfortable. Good storage space with a large wardrobe. There was a TV although we didn't actually use it so can't comment on channel availability. The room and the bathroom were very clean, towels were not provided but we carry travel towels so this wasn't a problem. Also in the room was a small two seater cane sofa which we actually carried out onto the verandah each day. On the verandah were two wooden chairs with a table between.

Location of Sepilok B&B is good, just 400m or so down the road (easily walkable in around 10 mins) from the Rainforest Discovery Centre. The Orang Utan sanctuary is around 1km up the road, taking around 20 mins to walk or the B&B would provide a taxi if required.

The restaurant was good if a little basic but all that you need for a couple of nights stay. Breakfast is included, this is do-it-yourself toast/jam with coffee/tea and fruit, you could literally eat as much as you wanted. Food prices were reasonable but the cans of soft drink were a little more expensive than elsewhere in Malaysia.

The staff were all very friendly, from the initial contact via email through the reserversation of our room, pick up from airport and service whilst we were there.

The B&B can arrange transport and trips but this is only offered when you ask the question, the additional services are not thrust on you nor any pressure applied.

There is free wi-fi in the restaurant area, this does reach some of the rooms, there is also a PC available for guest use at no charge.

The B&Bs website doesn't do it justice, it's good accomodation, a little on the basic side but good value for money and definitely worth a consideration if you're visiting Sepilok.
