My wife and I spent five days at Lankayan as part of our honeymoon, touring Borneo. Following 2 weeks in the jungle, the simple yet luxurious lifestyle at Lankayan was the perfect experience for us. The cabins were nice and tidy, the restaurant was fine and the staff was friendly. Most importantly, being able to to walk out your door,...

We visited the island in late December and our whole family loved it. For us this was really a paradise island. Super friendly service, good food, great water for snorkling and diving. Compared to other places this island is very isolated and much less crowded (no crowds at all..) Every morning you could see tracks from turtles that have layed...

This is a remote island and it takes about an hour and a half by speed boat to get there. But it is well worth the effort. The food and the accommodation on the island were fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is very well run with transfers to and from the airport included. We...

We really enjoyed our stay here. The thoughtful staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and provided exceptional service. Rooms were Ok but don’t expect great luxury. Room was clean and had a nice outdoor shower. Meals were buffet style but of very good quality. Great snorkeling from the beach.

This is like paradise. It takes about 2 hours in s speed boat to get there. Very recommendable. Great with the turtle preservation activities. Great for relaxing and enjoying the paradise island. My son and I had our first dives here. Very friendly staff. I want to go again. I want to dive some more.

We stayed here for two nights in August. Lankayan, which takes about 25 minutes to walk around, is beautiful but our boat ride to the island in rough seas was nerve racking. During our stay we were lucky to see a Green Turtle nesting and to witness the rangers release some newly hatched turtles into the sea. The rangers were...

We visited Lankayan Island at the end of our Borneo tour for our Honeymon in August 2015. it takes about 1.5 hours in a speed boat from Sandakan to reach the island, but its worth the ride! As you pull up to the jetty, you're greeted with clear azure water, sandy beaches and lush greenery, and even walking onto the...

We have just returned from a 10 night stay on Lankayan Island and it was our best summer holiday ever. From start to finish it was a delight. We were met at the airport, transferred to the Marina where you can purchase refreshments and then by fast launch taken to the island. After a short briefing about the rules and...
