Overall it was a good getaway for us as a family. You should spend at least 1 night there. For a family of 4, you can get a Triple room or a Quad room or their chalet. It is advised that you bring mineral water, noodle cups, bread/buns just in case you get hungry. The room we had didnt have a fridge so please do not bring anything that requires refridgeration. If you are getting a triple room, try to avoid the corner rooms. The bathroom is tiny. They have good breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet choices. Love their farm and river adventures. If you are looking for a place to experience the rainforest, this is the place for it.

Having a holiday at two days in this resort, but the bedroom we stay in M504 is very dirty, and the hand towel and face towel were not provided. The small glasses were not placed beside the sink. The dirtiest place in the shower, the floor of the shower is really dirty, there were full of black marks on the floor and also the toilet seat with some yellow stain on it. The second day, after my mum and I, woke up we found out there were some red spots on our legs and also our arms, we had bitten by the bed bug. Besides these, the service was very awesome, although there were not many people that two days, they serve us dinner in our room, there also provided us two fresh coconuts for our beverages and very delicious dishes. The second-day breakfast and lunch were nice, the bread and the fried noodles were very nice, I loved it so much. Between all the meals, the tour service was so nice. Although only me and my mum, they let us sit in a small van for us to tour the resort and also the boating. When the rain started to pour, they asked us do we still need to go to the waterfall or going back, she told us is dangerous and slippery if we go there when the rain started to pour, so we chose to go back. I'm very happy that they re4ally care for our safety. At last, I would recommend this resort for a 2 days 1-night trip. It was awesome to spend none WIFI for a day to relax in nature. I only wish that the room can be improved for my next visit. The most interesting is this room is, we can see some small creatures running up and down on the tree. And we also can see hornbills flying right across the sky.

We took day trip package to meet the nature. Check out their website. Reasonable package though not updated. Easily found by Google map. 4km drive from the entrance to main building. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Enjoyed the boat trip in the man made lake. Serene and fresh air. Try to feed the cat fish and local patin. Then short walk to the cool mini waterfall. Swim at your own risk though as there's no life guard guarding you. Day trip come with 3 meals or two meals, its your choice. Flavour wise..yummy. Then you are free to try all the activities provided. Water theme park is just nice to unleash the " kids" in you. Don't expect grand pool. The rest..go find out yourself.

This is the most amazing place. Who would stick a water park in the middle of a rainforest? This is not luxury but the peace and setting is amazing. Food is served rigidly at a certain time and always nice but no choice and don't be late or it might be cold. No bar but you can buy beer at the shop. Choose accomodation wisely. We had a chalet away from main building and loved it. The room wasn't as basic as I had expected. What makes it is the surroundings. Walks around the grounds are beautiful and there's no restrictions of where to go. Wildlife is amazing and plentiful. Found the cutest insect in the world. If you want 5 star this place isn't for you but if you want to chill and go with the flow then a visit is a must. When we visited in july there were only 3 other guests.

I need this fresh oxygen feeling. limited luxury supplies if you are the spontaneous kinda person, coz everything is almost back to basic. even special food reaquest at the very last minute will be challenging for the staff. we ajust spend a nite there & need to rush straight to airport after we check out, else will try those waterplay. looks fun. will return soon!

Great stay, staff were friendly, room was very comfortable and clean, food also taste good. The disappointed part is the resort attraction and facilities are not well maintained. There is no night activity and very boring. Should have provide wifi connection in room. More work to be done to improve further.

Drive in was tricky due to unpaved roads after the turn in from highway. Lift was broken down, so we had to carry suitcases down to the room. Room was abysmal - musty, 90s dated, no hot water in toilet, lizard poop on the walls and floor. Food was so-so, but generous portions. Facilities were disappointing - pool water was cloudy so we didn’t dare to enter. Obstacle course looks run down. We didn’t explore the place further. Drive to Miri instead, I believe there are better options for lower cost.

The place was good, there were so many activities you can do. This is the place good for outbound whether is for family or company. The food given were ridiculously alot😅 and the staff very accommodating. The only downside was i found the horses were so skinny and one of the longest trail (which supposed to be on their map) been gone.

Went here for 3 days 2 nights with two of my buddies. The entrance to the Resort is another 4km from the Security Post. You need to be verified by the Security Guards before you're permitted to actually drive in the vicinity to the Resort. The road is a bit rocky at first but as you approach the Resort, the road is pitted. Although the check-in procedure mentioned until 8pm, the Reception Counter was already off by 5pm (office hours, I believe). However, our key was still prepared and we checked-in nicely to the Engkabang Family Room (which wasn't the room we booked). We sorted it out the next morning and got the Standard Engkabang Room with an additional of mattress (sofa bed). This is on the 4th Floor. One level below the Lobby/Reception/Main Entrance. They have basic toiletries and towels too btw. So that evening, we had a lavish dinner of 6 dishes on top of appetizers and desserts by the Resort Lobby (the restaurants were already closed by the time we arrived). The next morning, breakfast began with bread toasts which you can have with butter and/or 2 different jams. Then, the main course arrived and we almost fainted seeing the amount. :D After breakfast, we went on the complimentary Resort Tour. We went to see the farm animals, went boating and fed the fishes by the river/canal. We also were lucky enough to get an add-on tour to the orchard and stopped by the hilltop to see the breathtaking view of the nature. We ended our tour with the Waterfall visit. It was a great hour tour with little walk/hike here and there. Our driver and tour guide were very friendly and bubbly! We had a hearty lunch break before we resumed our afternoon to enjoy the complimentary Waterpark and Pool. Unleashing our inner child at our best since we had the Resort all to ourselves then (yes, only 3 of us were in the Resort). We tried the water slides and they were exhilarating! The Waterpark is just your hip-length deep and the Pool is chest-length deep (comparison to an average Asian height). We ended our Day 2 with the Nature Walk/Hike. Took the 30mins route (Route 2). They have different routes and time length. At dinner, we had the Pandan Coconut and it was definitely delicious! Well, of course, another big dinner meal. Oh there's also a small souvenir shop where I got a mug and a bunch of wooden handmade keychains. Day 3 & our last day. We had our last breakfast (yes, a big one). We decided to go for the Hanging Bridge walk and that's about RM10 each person. Before we checked out, we tried the Indoor Archery which costs about RM15 per pax for 10 arrows. I must say, they need to really get a new set of arrows for better customer's satisfaction. We ended our stay with another fulfilling lunch. Oh btw, the wifi is accessible only by the Lobby vicinity. It is after all a Resort that focuses on connecting with nature. :) Oh and you got to pay some fees if you want to go for the activities/games. Just check their website for more information. Thank you Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort, the friendly staff, the good meals and of course for the fun and experiences during our stay. p/s: We love to suggest to maybe reduce the portion of the meals as we weren't able to finish them most of the time. We felt really bad!

Came here with a large group, the resort took care of both our meeting and dining needs, very happy with that. My family was put in one room, more than adequate, with AC working well, absolutely a must for a trip in July. Just do know, that apart from the area directly around the check in/out office, there is no wifi, and for those who had data on their phones, heard that the reception was limited to a few spots on the property. Food was good, lodging good, no facilities available for self washing of clothes.
